| The thread says to rate their ENTIRE CAREER, with a bit more focus on present-day.
He's had 5-6 Hall-of-Fame caliber seasons in his career, and like 2 bad ones. |

| "your judgment of their current production & skillset should have just a little more emphasis on your ratings."
You can judge what each rating between the 0-10 scale means to you (ex: 0 = out of the league in a few years, 10 = future HOF, etc. is really up to you)
I made it easy to look at for the dumb and those who can't read.
I'm sorry, is this an opinion thread? You said it yourself in the chat:
"[11:28:36] TJ : Being a good QB is WAY more than just stats"
In that case, I don't feel like Michael Vick is a good QB. Stat-wise and in general. |

| Yeah I ignored the "entire career" bit and just gave them a grade based on today. |

| Well it looks like I'M the wrong one. Should I change my grades then? I'd probably give Vick a 6 or so based on just last year. |

| ^ That's what I thought too. I thought we were making the judgments based off our own preferences. If we were just going to go off what Burdur wanted, why even bother asking? Just Google "best QBs" and copy/paste the list. |

| The confusion. Even though it's really based on preference in the end, TJ's the most right here. To summarize it in like a paragraph and make it more clear: This is a list meant to judge the entire careers of the currently employed players in the NFL. Every year of each players' careers should be considered but consider quality over quantity, and the present should be regarded just a little more as it is their current level of play... However, the seasons before this (if they've been in the league) should also play a big factor in the rating because it's still an essential part of the player that they are viewed as today. That's why I made the decision to make this based on entire careers rather than ONLY last season. Since it's a current list, it just makes sense to put some more emphasis on last season, though. How you take that and incorporate it into your ratings is really up to you. You can favor certain aspects and also don't have to follow what I've said exactly, just use it as a basic guideline when you're doing your ratings. The only thing you should not be doing is making your ratings strictly (100%) off of last season alone. |

| Oh, & let's ignore Razor's list simply for the fact that he admitted to only knowing 10 players in total in a thread. |

| Maybe @ ignoring Razor's list But with the outlier system, I think it won't be as bad to count Razor's ratings. (the ones that will remain anyway ) I'm gonna consider a random example right now. Player's ratings: 8, 7, 7.5, 9, 7.5, 8 ... average rating is like 7.75ish off the top of my head. The outlier cutoff will be 2.5... so in this case no ratings below a 5.5 would be accepted for that player. Same will go for ratings that look higher than the rest. I think that'll work to make it as legit as possible with this system. Also, if anyone did rate QB's 100% based on last season, go make any updates you think are necessary. |

| ^ It's cause Romo's a cutie duh. No homo tho And actually, even with the outliers thing I still might not count Razor's ratings for that Rodgers/Romo reason |

| "XWA's Top 200 Current NFL Players" might be a way better way to word this. It is based on their careers, viewing only the current NFL talent. The "current" isn't supposed to mean anything more than current NFL players (as in no retired players). Not directly mean this current season (for this list anyway). I'm not sure why I even mentioned to put the most emphasis on recent production & skillset actually... I guess mainly cause that's another way a lot of current top players lists are viewed as well & I also didn't want veteran players to have too much of an edge in this. Regardless even looking at it as the best 200 players only currently, I think 2004 does have a little bit to do with 2014 Peyton Manning because past accomplishments and skills shown still have an influence on the way players are viewed in the league years later. |
