I don't think any system would really work any different. A 1 rating would do just as much harm for someone who doesn't deserve it... Even on a 1-5 scale it would change things a lot & then that scale would also cause a lot more ties and too many similar ratings. & any kind of ranking system would have the same problem if anyone is ranked much lower than they should be. So we'll have to deal with this.

However, mexi & I were discussing possibly not counting Razors ratings due to the fact he rates based on who he thinks looks hottest anyway.

I think a system in which you throw out outliers would work. As in, find the average of all other grades and if it differs by more than, say, 3.5 points, throw it out?

Anyone can change their ratings btw, including to fix any ratings lower than 1... any that aren't changed will just be changed to a 1 rating though.

Again, you need to differentiate from off the field and on the field. Michael Vick is a shitty player but he's not a 0. Tbf Burdur deserves some heat for giving him a 7.
