(Rage) Drake Dysfunction vs. Travis Levitt Empty
PostSubject: Re: (Rage) Drake Dysfunction vs. Travis Levitt   (Rage) Drake Dysfunction vs. Travis Levitt EmptyWed Jun 18, 2014 4:51 pm

Welcome back to the Big Ass American Bash edition of RAGE! where we're about to be underway with a rather unique contest between two unique individuals; Laura Watts having finished introducing newcomer Travis Levitt, who is still seething after his rather disturbing promo earlier on. Drake cannot help but to be a tad bit weirded out at what he's seeing.

Joey Miles
"This guy looks like an absolute killer, Teddy. He's looking at Drake like a piece of meat."

Ted Cedar
"This is Travis Levitt. Levitt may be a stranger in the Xtreme Wrestling Association, but he's no stranger when it comes to combating in the squared circle. He has rather impressive accolades elsewhere and is looking to make an impact here in XWA."

Ted then looks over to his broadcast partner who seems to have fallen asleep. Ted, of course looks annoyed and is bemused. Joey notices that Ted has stopped speaking and "comes out of his sleep", instantly ceasing from pretending.

Joey Miles
"Damn narcolepsy! Did you say something, tubby?"

Ted Cedar
"Nothing you'd really be interested in."

Joey Miles
"Oh good! Narcolepsy IS good for something."

Without any more hesitation, the sound of the bell chiming three times is heard and the show instantly gets on the road, Drake lunging at his competitor first, thinking he may have caught him off-guard with his quickness. However, Travis Levitt catches him with a nicely placed knee to the abdomen, causing Drake to stop and bend over, groaning in moaning audaciously as he wraps his arms around the affected area, coughing a couple of times. He's in a vulnerable position now, which allows Travis to take advantage in the early going. He stands Drake up so that he's vertical and cheeses a sadistic smile before snapping in motion, shooting his arm up and having his fists connect with the lower jaw. This move, the European upper cut, is executed so powerfully that Drake loses balance and tries to catch himself, staggering backwards into the ring ropes. Drake hangs there on the top rope for a bit, a bit woozy after that hard shot.

Ted Cedar
"My god! This match has gotten underway QUICK! Did you hear that shot by TRAVIS LEVITT? What a European Uppercut!!!"

Joey Miles
"This Travis cat isn't playing games here, tubby! Goddamn what a shot!"

Levitt takes his time here dealing with Drake. Drake attempts to fire a shot back but it's blocked by Levitt and then he fires a fist into the face of the self-proclaimed FUTURE 3x Intercontinental Champion, a shot that causes him to do circles, doing a 180-style transition from the ropes to the corner. Travis then takes a stance, letting out a bellowing scream before Savate kicking Drake Dysfunction in the gut. He then repeats the act again, leaving Drake with no other option but to cringe in the corner. Levitt straightens his opponent up again and kicks him in the abdomen AGAIN, these repeated blows proving to be a slower-paced variation of Daniel Bryan's corner kicks. After that last kick, Levitt takes Drake by the arm and pulls him out of the corner, giving those that are watching the impression that he may be looking to Irish whip his opponent into the other corner. Sadly for Drake Dysfunction, that's not the case here as he starts running, but Travis keeps a hold on his arm, pulling him back towards him into a perfectly placed knee that gets driven into the already-hurting abdomen of the Demolitionist that sends him down to one knee. Travis, still with the arm in the grasp, wrings it around, twisting up and over his head. Before he does anything else, however, Drake rolls frontwards through this, managing to un-wring his arm. He stands up on his own two feet after this escape, staring at the beady eyes of the Dragon before using his free arm to catch him in the jaw with a forearm shot. Travis lets go of the arm and Drake turns around and goes darting towards the ropes. Coming off the ropes, he sees Levitt in his sights only for the Dragon to lift the knee in typical Daniel Bryan style, tripping him up by kneeing him in the gut thus causing him to tumble frontwards over the knee to ultimately land back-first on the canvas.

Joey Miles
"And just when he was getting things moving, this Levitt guy shuts him down real quick. It's like he's one step ahead every single time!"

Ted Cedar
"He's one of those unique opponents that like to keep the ground game on the opponent. Notice how he keeps targeting the abdominal area. Drake's got a potentially dangerous individual on his hands."

Joey Miles
"The fact that he wanted Drake to BURN doesn't give that last part away, tubby?"

Travis drops down over Drake Dysfunction, Ryu Sanu using his quick reflexes to drop down on his torso for the count, but he doesn't even get to slam his hand on the mat as Drake instantly shoots his body up off the canvas before Levitt can even hook the leg. However, Drake doesn't go far as the Dragon locks in a maneuver that falls into the same boat with his nickname, craning Drake's neck back as he places him in a kneeling variation of the Dragon Sleeper. The sleeper appears to be locked in tight as Drake begins to scream. Drake then seemingly attempts to get out of this, the ounce of flexibility that he has to bring his leg up and catch Levitt in the forehead with the sole of his foot. Travis is dazed a bit, but doesn't let go. Drake musters up the strength to kick him again. THIS time, the kick proves to be effective enough as Levitt releases the hold. However, he takes Drake by the head and slams it down onto the canvas, the back of the head receiving most of the impact. It's here where Levitt mounts his opponent and begins raining down left and rights shots directed toward the face of the Demolitionist. Ryu ain't having this unfairness as he pulls Levitt off of Drake after having repeatedly told him to cease from the assault to no avail. Both Levitt and Sanu have a face-to-face stand-off for the moment, Ryu reminding Levitt just exactly WHO the authority is here in this match. Ryu isn't afraid to hand this man his first loss in XWA due to DQ. Levitt keeps his cool and goes back to dealing with Drake, who is already on his feet and catches him with a nicely placed ROUNDHOUSE KICK to the side of the dome. Travis goes down and Drake continues to favor the abdomen a little bit. One has to assume that it could be sore from those kicks earlier along with those repeated knee shots.

Ted Cedar
"My god! That roundhouse kick was out of NOWHERE! Could this do it here?!"

It is Drake now who covers Travis Levitt after that Roundhouse, Ryu Sanu dropping down to lay flat on his torso, prepping to slam his hand on the canvas.

Ryu Sanu
ONE!

TWO!"

Kickout by Travis Levitt. Breathing heavily now is Levitt, trying to shake off the affects from that Roundhouse Kick as he sits up. Drake stands on his two feet, making a stance before he swings his foot around, catching Levitt at the base of the spine with a hard kick. Levitt winces as he cringes and screams in pain. Drake bellows the question

Drake Dysfunction
"YOU LIKE THAT?"

before kicking him the same way AGAIN. This time, Levitt arches his back, bending it from the pain as he lays on the back of his shouders, doing his best to keep his back off the mat, but that doesn't help for long as Drake is seen darting to-and-from the ring ropes, leaving his feet performing a front flip. He ultimately lands on the belly of Travis Levitt, completing a front-flip senton. Levitt is seen holding his abdomen; a little taste of his own medicine here as Drake calls him up to his feet. He takes a few steps back til he reaches the corner before latching both hands onto one of the ropes and repeatedly stomping his left foot multiple times. The fans already seem to know what comes after.

Ted Cedar
"Well....this is odd. It looks like Drake's preparing for his Dysfunction Kick, with a certain 'tune' added to it."

Joey Miles
"This guy is just ripping off David Michaels every chance he gets.....and I actually like it!"

Ted Cedar
"What on earth are you talking about 'ripping off David Michaels'. Drake just happens to have the superkick in his arsenal, that's all! Why does everything have to be some sort of conspiracy theory with you??"

Joey Miles
"Cedar, thank god I'm here because you just can't handle the facts. Period. Never could and never will. I know what I'm saying and THAT'S what fucking matters!"

While the commentators have a difference of opinion (nothing new here), Drake has Levitt in his sights and surprisingly connects with the Drake Kick! The opponent falls to the ground and Drake covers him.

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

DING! DING! DING!

The bell rang, and in the ring both Levitt and Drake start to circle each other, both men keeping a cautious eye on the other. Neither man is willing to rush in and make the mistake that gives their opponent the advantage. After a long few moments the two men have circled in slowly, each finding themselves just a few feet apart. After a moment the two men come together in a collar-and-elbow, and Levitt instantly yanks Drake down into a side headlock. Levitt squeezes tightly on Drake's head but The Dysfunctional One easily manages to back up into the ropes, using the ropes for extra leverage to try and throw Travis off, but The Dragon grabs Drake by the hair and yanks him back into the headlock! The Memphis crowd jeers at Levitt for that one, but The Dragon ignores the crowd, grinding down on the headlock even more. Drake squirms again, trying to find a break in Levitt's grip, but The Richmond Raider just squeezes tighter again, trying to weaken Drake early. The Dysfunctional One finally grabs Levitt's wrist, pulling hard before yanking his head back and locking a hammerlock on Levitt. The Dragon doesn't seem too worried over the position he's in though, instead waiting a moment before spinning and ducking backwards, reversing the hammerlock into one of his own. Once again it's D-Double in the bad position, and he takes a moment to gather his bearings before trying to pivot his body out, only to see Levitt drop the Hammerlock and clothesline Drake in the back of the head sending him to the mat!

Ted Cedar: “And Levitt with the cheap shot! Drake goes down!”

Joey Miles: “YES! Nice guys finish last, Ted! Travis knows that!”

Drake lays on the mat, clutching at the back of his head as Levitt stands over him sneering, the FedEx Forum giving The Dragon some jeers for his actions. Levitt now starts to stomp on Drake's head, an angry scowl on his face as he stomps down on The Gatekeeper of the XWA. Standing on the side of Drake's head, Levitt looks out at the Memphis crowd and sneers again, his hatred for the fans showing as disgust crosses his face. After a moment Levitt steps off of Drake's head, reaching down to grab Drake and pulling him up to his feet. Slamming a knee up into Dysfunction's gut, Levitt hooks his head and turns him, slamming Drake's head into the top turnbuckle. Dysfunction stumbles, draping himself into the corner, and Levitt now presses a forearm against Drake's throat, choking D-Double out. The referee now steps up, throwing his hands in the air to count. [ONE..........TWO............THREE..........F-] And Levitt breaks the choke, stepping away with his hands raised. The Dragon is still scowling as he backs away, gathering his breath for a moment before stepping back to focus in on Drake again. Levitt grabs Drake by the arm and whips him across the ring, charging in a couple of steps behind him. Drake crashes into the corner, but instantly drops and rolls aside, and Levitt crashes into the corner! Now it's The Dragon's turn to stagger away while Drake pushes upto his feet behind him, and as Levitt stumbles back around Drake leaps up and drills him with a dropkick knocking Levitt down!

Ted Cedar: “And Drake with the comeback! The Dysfunctional One isn't done for yet!”

Joey Miles: “Levitt got a little over-confident there, but this is just a slip-up. Levitt's going to win, Ted. He has to!”

Ted Cedar: “....you bet money on him, didn't you?”

Joey Miles: “He had really good underdog odds. This is my Pay Day, Ted!”

Drake gets back t his feet a little quicker this time, pausing to rub at the back of his head, but as he spots Levitt pushing to his feet, Drake steps in and fires off a kick to Levitt's ribs. With Levitt's ribs still tender from crashing into the corner, Dysfunction presses his advantage, firing off a second and third kick, before leaping up with a spinning roundhouse to The Dragon's chest and knocking him off his feet again! The Dysfunctional One pumps his fists, staring to get the momentum building, and then turns back to face Travis, waving The Dragon up. Levitt stumbles to his feet, clutching at his chest, but he's only up for a single moment before Drake wraps both arms around him, and tosses Levitt overhead with a Belly-to-Belly!  Levitt crashes to the mat hard, the wind knocked out of him, and Drake kips up behind him. The Dysfunctional One now turns and waves Levitt up again, crouching to go for The Gore! D-Double is feeling the momentum, getting his energy off the crowd, and as Levitt pushes up Drake charges in....and Levitt turns and throws a knee up, catching the charging Drake flush in the face! The sickening crack sound heard throughout the arena is Drake's nose being broken, and it only gets worse for The Dysfunctional One, as when he stumbles back up, Levitt hooks his head, and drives Drake face-first into the mat with the LEVY CUTTER! Levitt is quick to roll Drake over, hooking a leg as the referee drops down.

[ONE..........TW-NO!]

Ted Cedar: “DRAKE KICKS OUT! Drake kicked out! That wasn't enough by Levitt!”

Joey Miles: “Levitt almost had him though, Ted. How much more of a fight can Drake possibly have?”

In the ring, Levitt looks at the referee and shakes his head, disbelieving that it wasn't enough. Levitt gets back to his feet, running a hand through his hair, and then shaking his head and snarling out at the crowd. “ITS OVER!” The Dragon gets to his feet, grabbing a handful of Drake's hair, and pulling the smaller man up into a headlock. The Capitol Killer now throws an arm up, calling for his Capitol Krunch....but Drake shoves Levitt off. The Dysfunctional One fires off a desperate DRAKE KICK and it connects! Levitt collapses like a tree in the woods, and Dysfunction drops down on top of him, draping an arm across Levitt's chest. The referee drops down as well, slamming his hand into the mat as Memphis counts with him.

[ONE!]

[TWO!]

THR-NO!]

At the last possible second, Levitt throws an arm up! Thousands of fans inside The FedEx Forum can be heard groaning, but the referee makes it official, climbing to his feet and throwing two fingers in the air. The gatekeeper of the XWA is still a little woozy from the earlier shots to his head, but his wrestling instincts are strong, and his body pulls itself up, and then throws his arms high, calling for D-2! Now it's The Dysfunctional One's turn to drag Levitt up off the mat. Dysfunction slams Levitt's head between his legs, throws an arm up, and then hooks Levitt around the waist. D-Double lifts Levitt high...and in mid-air, with Drake's own body blocking the view, Levitt looks straight at Drake and SPITS A FIREBALL into Dysfunction's Face! Dysfunction's grip weakens as he screams in pain, and quick as a flash, Levitt slides down behind him, hooks Drake in a Full Nelson and then yanks him overhead, driving Drake down on his already wounded head with the DRAGON SUPLEX! Levitt presses up with his legs, bridging the pin, and with the referee seeing no reason not to, he slides into position and makes the count.

[ONE!]

[TWO!]

THREE!!!]

DING! DING! DING!

Ted Cedar: “BY GAWD! BY GAWD! LEVITT STOLE THE WIN! LEVITT STOLE THE WIN!”

Joey Miles: “He said he'd burn through Drake! He kept his word! Levitt with that fireball out of the refs view and then a Dragon Suplex to finish him off! LEVITT WINS! I WIN! YESSS!”
