| The Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, is really getting into the swing of things here tonight. The show has just come back from a commercial break, after an intense tables match between Jared Jerusalem and Shade. We're welcomed back to the show by the most dysfunctional announce team since the last partner Ted Cedar had...
Cedar:
"Welcome back to Vendetta, ladies and gentlemen, where we're fresh of the heels of a tremendous tables match."
Miles:
"That was what XWA is all about, Cedar - pure carnage!"
Cedar:
"Well speaking of what XWA is all about, tonight is centring around our main event for the evening...and it's a biggie, ladies and gentlemen. David Michaels told the World last week he was cashing in his rematch here tonight for the XWA World Heavyweight Championship and now we can take you backstage, where Jennifer Light is stood by with The Showstealer himself. Take it away, Jennifer!"
Miles:
"Well, there goes our ratings..."
The feed moves to the backstage interview area, where we indeed see the lovely Jennifer Light, looking stunning as ever in a beautiful white dress ready to do an interview. The fans cheer for Jennifer, as she smiles down the camera.
Jennifer:
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time...."The Showstealer", David Michaels!"
The crowd cheers as Michaels walks into shot as the camera man pans out a little to capture his presence. The fans in the audience appreciate him greatly and all cheer for the top face in the company. Michaels does a light jog on the spot, smiling down the camera in his cocky fashion whilst chewing his gum. Michaels is completely kitted on in his ring and entrance gear, clearly ready for his important match later tonight. Wearing white and gold zebra tights and matching entrance attire, David appears to be in tip top condition despite his brutal ladder match at CyberSlam where he lost the World Heavyweight Title. Looking pleased to see him, Jennifer begins the interview.
Jennifer:
"David, at CyberSlam we all saw you lose your World Heavyweight Championship to Dominik Diveraz in rather controversial fashion. Do you think you can recapture that title here tonight?"
Michaels:
"Jennifer, you've hit the nail on the head straight off the bat. I did indeed lose the World Title at CyberSlam to Mr. Mexico...and yes, I lost it in controversial fashion with his darling of a wife served up that title for him on a silver platter. But you know what? Last week I said he screwed me out of the title...he did, but I honestly don't care. In fact, I commend our Mexican amigo because it's the exact sort of thing...King of Xtreme says hello..."
Michaels then comically turns to the camera, with a cheesy grin and waves...
Michaels:
"Hey there Hitman Alex!"
The crowd chuckles, as Michaels refreshes everyone's memory of how he stole the World Title from Hitman Alex to begin with.
Michaels:
"Look, it doesn't bother me one bit how he won the title. The fact is, a win is a win and I lost the belt. Now I could run around here for the next several weeks pissing and complaining about how an injustice happened...but instead, like the man that I am, I came out here last week, stated when I wanted my rematch, pissed Dominik off and stole the show in the process. Now I don't know about you, Jenny, but that seems like a good nights work to me, huh?"
Jennifer smiles and nods her head in approval.
Michaels:
"I ain't interested in complaining about the past. That's why I'm in D-Volution. What I do is take control of my past and then shape my future. Frankly, how I'm seeing it now is that Dominik has done me a favour because now tonight, I get the opportunity to become only the second man in XWA history to have held that World Heavyweight Champion three time...behind, of course, the legend that is...Caleb Spires."
A cheap pop for the legendary Caleb Spires is always a welcome sound for the XWA Universe.
Michaels:
"So what I'm doing is turning a big ass negative into a big ass positive...so to answer you question, Jennifer, yes...I do believe I can recapture that title here tonight otherwise I wouldn't have demanded my rematch as so."
Jennifer:
"Well clearly you're in a confident frame here tonight, but don't you think you could underestimate Dominik in the main event?"
Michaels ponders on the question for a moment before answering, adjusting his flowing hair on his head as he does.
Michaels:
"I may be a cocky son of a you-know-what, but one thing I don't do is underestimate people. I go out to that ring each week and expect the match of my life. Yes, Dominik found a win to at the Pay Per View - that was unfamiliar territory and I clearly wasn't on my A-Game. Tonight...ha...tonight is a whole different matter, Jenny. Now I know who Dominik likes to play, so as far as I see it, it's an even fair game of Chess. A game of Chess that this cat intends on coming out victorious. So I hope Dominik brings his best tonight, because I'm damn sure going to bring mine. This is a whole different game to CyberSlam...and he knows it."
Jennifer:
"How do you mean?"
Michaels:
"isn't it obvious?"
Jennifer genuinely looks confused...
Jennifer:
"...not to me."
Michaels:
"Well don't worry your little cotton socks there honey, because I'll tell ya'. You see two weeks ago at the Pay Per View, I was the only guy running around here with a buddy...now Dominik is walking out here with half of Mexico by his side! By my counting...and bare in mind I was never the sharpest knife in the draw at school with it came to Math...but by my counting D-Volution has...three members...and Team Mexico back there...is a whole country. So tonight is World's apart from CyberSlam. But that's fine. I've played the underdog before, even though I'm not the one in the match that's a midget, but still! He can bring half of Mexico, Puerto Rico, the employees from Taco Bell and STILLLL get his ass handed to him tonight. It's all fine with The Showstealer."
The crowd cheers, as Michaels is certainly appearing to be ready for a mammoth task that lies ahead of him here tonight.
Jennifer:
"Well, speaking of Dominik's new stable, he did assure you at the start of the show that Samantha won't be at ringside during the match to make sure it's even. Do you believe him and do you also think you won't see an appearance from Dominik's new found friends?"
Michaels:
"Lady, there is more chance Nova dressing conservatively than there is of those lot staying out of our business here tonight. Look, you interviewed them earlier on this very spot. You tell me. Did those guys look as though, to you, that they were capable of A - speaking the truth and B - playing by the rules?"
Jennifer chuckles as she shakes her head.
Michaels:
"No, of course not. But that's fine, because I ain't worried...Dominik ain't the only person in that match with allies. So if that useless woman does make an appearance later on, you can be sure a certain Wildcat will be on the case quicker than you can order a burrito at Taco Bell! And if the rest of the odd jobs want to play, then that's fine too, as a know a certain guy that's a little...shall we say...'out there' that likes to play with mallets."
Once more, the crowd cheers with approval for David's backup here tonight.
Jennifer:
"Well one last question. Just like the one I posed to Dominik earlier, if you manage to regain the World Title, who do you want to face at Chain Reaction?"
Michaels:
"Ahhhh, funny you should mention this, because my answer is two fold. Firstly, I'll happily kick anyone's ass at Chain Reaction. The last two steel structures of hell I walked into, I left them with the World Title in my possession....but if you wanted to press me for an answer, then there is only one name that springs to mind - Hitman Alex!"
The crowd heavily jeers for that name, as he words in recent weeks have certainly been derogatory towards Michaels.
Michaels:
"Now I ain't the General Manager around these parts...hell, nobody is at the moment...but if I had the choice to pick anybody at the Pay Per View, it'd be that bitter bastard for sure. But, I'm a realist, so I'll put it like this - lets say, by some tragedy tonight, I didn't win the World Title leaving me un-booked for probably the year's most brutal Pay Per View. And lets say I was getting tired a certain Superstar coming out here each week running his mouth about me. And lets say I wanted to kick his teeth in. It would then only make sense if I faced such an individual inside of a steel cage at Chain Reaction, am I right? You damn right I'm right! But let me put it another way as well, Jennifer - like I said, I'm not the GM around these parts so I don't book the matches...but let me give Hitman Alex some motivation if I do happen to became the World Champion again. I know, for a FACT, if you has the balls when it mattered you would come out here each week, quit your bitching and put on performances that automatically make you the number one contender. You come out here each week, show EVERYONE that ruthless side that you sooooo wish to take out on me, then I have no doubt that one way, or another, we'll meet at Chain Reaction...but that's only if you want it bad enough, Hitty Boy."
The crowd laughs, as Michaels sarcastically makes fun of Hitman Alex.
Michaels:
"But no matter what, Hitman. World Title or no World Title. Pay Per View or no Pay Per View...you keep coming out here and running that lame ass mouth of yours and I'll happily be the one to shut it for you! BUTTTT that's the distant future. Tonight, it's all about a certain Mexican. DOMINIK - I'll see you in that ring, amigo. Kapeesh?!"
David Michaels then waves down the camera and winks, as he walks out of shot, leaving Jennifer smiling with joy.
Cedar:
"Michaels...haha...certainly not one to leave you wishing he should have said more, Joey."
Miles:
"No...he leaves you wishing he said much less instead! Is this guy serious? He's threatening everyone here tonight, even women!"
Cedar:
"He's not threatening anybody. He's just sticking up for himself and you know it..."
Miles:
"He's trying to steal the spotlight, yet again, like he always does. I just hope Dominik can finally end this fool's career here tonight and then we can all come to work happy for once!"
Cedar:
"Well up next ladies and gentlemen, it's Divas action with Elektra going head to head with Alexis Rose!"
Miles:
"THANK GOD FOR HOT WOMEN!"
The shows continues onto the next portion of the show, with the first Diva of the match about to make her entrance. |
