Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire

Growing up this was my favorite game for The Nintendo 64. This game gave you great verity. While most of the levels are played as a third person shooter you also get a level where you fly a snowspeeder in The Battle of Hoth, two levels where you control a space ship and a racing mission.

While most of the missions are a third person shooter there are also a lot of verity in those levels as well. You get a level where the ground starts ripping apart, a train jumping level where you get to face the famous IG-88 and you even get to fly using a jetpack to face the even more famous Bobba Fett! You also get a verity of weapons to fight a verity of enemies and bosses. You get to fight a snow monster from The Empire Strikes Back and a AT-ST on foot! Fighting the AT-ST on this game is more crazy then it is in future titles like Battlefront and The Force Unleashed. There's even a fun cheat that allows you to fight in a AT-ST in the first level!

This Nintendo 64 launch title is great fun. The only problem is that it's an early third person shooter. It's difficult to shoot upwards. There's sometimes complaints that you can't see past your character but there are different camera views allowing you to have a first person view.

If you have a Nintendo 64 I would differently recommend getting this title. It's a fun original Star Wars title when we were getting excellent titles from LucasArts.

This game gets a 9/10 from me.
