Bryan was a transitional champion at that time. They didn't have plans for him to be a long reigning champion. If anything they made sure he looked weak as hell. He was meant to hold it and drop it to sheamus. After that they wouldn't have bother with him. But it was the yes movement that kept him relevant. It was the fans who kept him being a top tier guy, because you know damn well if Vince had his way Daniel be at Ryder's level of jobbing.

It was the yes movement that made me a fan of Daniel Bryan. Before that I thought he had the personality of a fish.
