Axel Anvil vs. Enigma Empty
PostSubject: Re: Axel Anvil vs. Enigma   Axel Anvil vs. Enigma EmptyWed Aug 28, 2013 6:12 am

Up next is going to be a major challenge for a debuting superstar tonight as the rookie Enigma takes on Axel Anvil. Anvil himself is new to XWA, though not nearly a new face to professional wrestling. Add in his massive size advantage to his experience advantage and you got a clear cut winner in this bout. Nothing is known about Enigma, including if he's capable of even giving Axel so much as a challenge. Regardless, the masked wrestler makes his way to his opponent in the center of the ring, showing no fear whatsoever. He's certainly got guts, but that's not going to help him at all as Axel lands a straight right hook to the face of his opponent knocking him straight down to the canvas. Slowly, Enigma gets up, rubbing his left cheek as he does so. Axel doesn't give him any time to rest, as he runs at him and lands a big boot to the face of his opponent, knocking him back down.

Ted Cedar: Well, Axel is making quick work out of this newcomer so far.
Adam Dennis: Was any less expected? Look at the size difference!

Axel grabs his opponent by his head and yanks him back up to his feet before tossing him into the nearest turnbuckle. The gigantic man lands repeated body shots at the referee tells him to back off. He simply ignores the requests of the official as he continues to throw shots left and right into the abdomen of Enigma. Finally, Axel lets go of his onslaught as he backs up a couple of feet, towards the center of the ring. He then rushes in towards his opponent and lands a big cornered clothesline. The impact of the move causes Enigma to bounce into the air and then drop straight down to the canvas, almost in a seated position in the corner. Axel takes advantage of this by pressing his foot against the throat of Enigma, choking him. The referee begins counting to 5 to potentially disqualify Axel but the big guy lets go at a count of 4. He pulls Enigma back to his feet by his head before dragging him away from the turnbuckle and going for an Irish whip. Enigma bounces off the ropes and returns only to be picked off the ground, spun around, and slammed into the canvas with a Double A Spinebuster.

Adam Dennis: Axel is completely dominating this rookie so far in this contest.
Ted Cedar: Well, Axel is an in-ring veteran. He has a list of accomplishments as big as he is. The guy is no joke. Enigma certainly has his work cut out for him in his debut match.

Instead of opting to go for the pin and win this one early, Axel wants to deliver more punishment first. He wants to gain as much momentum as possible heading into his RSD Championship match at Endure. Being so, he pulls his masked opponent back up to his feet before landing a powerful strike to the head. He follows this up with a punch to the gut. With Enigma now groggy, Axel runs to the ropes and bounces off of them before returning with a second big boot attempt. This one, however, doesn't reach its mark as Enigma ducks under it and Axel goes running straight passed him. Axel turns around only to receive a perfect Dropkick from Enigma that lands square in the chest. The move doesn't knock Axel down but it does make him stumble a bit. Enigma runs at him but Axel ducks down and lifts Enigma onto his shoulders, perhaps setting up for his Go To Sleep that he likes to call the Facial Degradation. Enigma holds onto the top rope to block it, however, eventually managing to pull himself out of harms way and onto the apron. Axel quickly turns around and attempts a third big boot, but this one also misses as Enigma pulls down the top rope and Axel finds himself being hung up on it. Axel straddles the top rope in pain as Enigma climbs the turnbuckle. Upon reaching the top, he jumps backwards looking for a moonsault that lands on Axel, knocking both men to the floor outside of the ring. The crowd cheers heavily.

Adam Dennis: There we go! This kid's getting into it!
Ted Cedar: What a beautiful moonsault from Enigma. There may just be hope for him yet in this match.

The referee starts a 10-count as both men try to make it to their feet on the outside of the ring. Once vertical, Enigma tries to keep the advantage by landing a knee to Axel's mid-section. He goes to Irish whip him into the steps, but Axel doesn't budge. He tries again, but he still doesn't budge. Finally, Axel yanks his arm in and, with his free arm, lands a clothesline that flips Enigma inside-out. The fans boo for the much-disliked Anvil gaining the upperhand again. He pushes Enigma into the ring and then walks up the steel steps and gets in himself. Once inside the ring, Axel signals for the end of the match. The audience boos as he lifts Enigma up and lifts him into the air ala suplex. He doesn't drop him, however, instead holding him up in a stall. Axel is setting up for his finishing move, the Cranium Fission, also known as the Jackhammer. Enigma starts fighting back with knees to the head of his opponent, eventually causing Axel to let go of him. Enigma falls behind Axel and, in one swift motion, pulls him backwards for a rollup. The referee counts it: 1. 2. 3. He calls for the bell as Enigma quickly slides out of the ring.

Adam Dennis: Wait, what?!
Ted Cedar: Enigma wins! What a huge upset! Just when it looked like Axel was about to take the victory, Enigma reversed it into a rollup and got the win!

Enigma celebrates outside of the ring as Axel looks on angrily inside it. Enigma stands, facing the fans, as he raises both hands in the air. Because of this, he doesn't see Axel exiting the ring. The big man makes his way over to Enigma, turns him around and punches him in the face. The crowd boos as Axel follows this up with even more punches as the referee tries to separate him, only to end up getting a big boot.

Ted Cedar: This is unnecessary! You lost, Axel. Just deal with it!
Adam Dennis: Hey, I'd be pissed too if a rookie just got a cheap win over me.

Axel grabs his opponent by the head and drags him over to the commentary table before slamming his head into it. He pushes the time keeper off of his seat and then picks up the steel chair he was sitting on before folding it. A loud smack is heard as Axel slams the steel chair off of Enigma's head, severely denting it. The camera gets a close up of Enigma and blood can be seen dripping out from under his mask. Axel tosses the chair into the ring and then throws Enigma in with it. He enters the ring and lifts Enigma to his feet. The big man then picks Enigma up on his shoulders, setting up for his Death Valley Driver known as the Darkness Drop, onto the steel chair.

Ted Cedar: Oh God, don't do this! Don't do it, Axel!

Axel tosses Enigma off of his shoulders and sends him crashing head-first onto the steel chair. The audience boos heavily as the newcomer lays, unconscious, on the canvas.

Ted Cedar: Damnit, Axel! That kid has a family!
Adam Dennis: Okay, calm down Jim Ross.

Skillet's Monster his the PA system as Axel exits the ring, a grin seen on his face following the assault he just did. The show cuts to a commercial break.

Axel Anvil vs. Enigma Empty
PostSubject: Re: Axel Anvil vs. Enigma   Axel Anvil vs. Enigma EmptySat Aug 31, 2013 3:27 pm

As Enigma stares across the ring awaiting the bell toll he raises his arms at the crowd to try and get behind him while facing a giant. While some do cheer for him or start clapping a majority is still silenced by knowing nothing of the relative newcomer. The disheartening result isn’t bound to damper the fire in his heart however that has led him to try his craft here as the bell tolls in the background igniting a seemingly unseen beast within.

A. Dennis: Here we go folks we have another matchup for you all that hopefully won’t end in a quick squash here.

T. Cedar: Sadly I have to agree Dennis as with us not knowing anything about Enigma we have no clue of how talented he really is. Could he be a dud or is he as good as someone like Caleb Spires? We have no clue really until he is in action.

As the bout starts Anvil walks out to the center of the ring from his corner and ushers at Enigma to make the first move of the bout thus showing his confidence. Raising his hands above him in clapping motion has the crowd a bit more behind him finally as he then charges out of the corner and leaps into the air managing to surprise the behemoth with an elbow to the jaw. Stumbling back and turning his head in slight pain it seems to awaken the monster as Anvil turns towards Enigma and catches his second attempt at the same move, instead catching him and throwing him head over heels across the ring to land sprawled across his back.

T. Cedar: Well Axel asked him to land the first blow so you can’t fault the newcomer for doing what he could to make an impression.

A. Dennis: However true that may be you definitely don’t do something so flashy and damaging to someone so much bigger than you. Enigma most likely hasn’t even scouted Axel out the way it seems.

Enigma clutches his back slightly as he gets back up and ducks under the reaching arms of Anvil before turning around and unleashing some kicks to the back of the giant’s knees especially where he was weakened last week in the fatal fourway bout.

A. Dennis: Well this little shit has made me retract my words, he actually has paid attention to his opponent.

Much to the chagrin of Dennis however, Anvil turns around and only slightly clutches at his leg, the injury already healed after a good week of relaxation. Brushing off the tingling sensation Anvil pushes at Enigma and watches him tumble backwards before rolling onto a kneeling base. Enigma doesn’t waste time in letting Anvil come at him, instead dashing forward and ducking his outstretched arms and leaping onto the corner ropes behind him as a springboard. Flying off Enigma executes a double axe handed smash to the upper region of Anvils back and forces him to stumble down onto one knee. With landing on the side of the beast where his one knee is still up Enigma leaps up and dropkicks that knee to make it fall and Anvil is now down on all fours as Enigma taunts the crowd for support who are getting behind the relative newcomer.

With support behind him, Enigma turns around and sees Anvil still hasn’t gotten up and is at a more manageable height now. He comes in and socks the ‘Sovereign’ in the face with a right hand. Not one to be disrespected Anvil unleashes a haymaker of his own and sends the masked star stumbling away. This doesn’t stop Enigma who comes in and has a passion ignited unleashing a flurry of punches into the facial region of the giant and hitting him at a blistering speed. Adding a few kicks in Enigma lands quite a few blows before finally his left leg is trapped in the bear claw sized palm of Anvil. With nowhere to go Enigma torques his body and leaps into the air extending his free leg to catch the side of Anvil’s noggin with an enziguiri kick that rocks him and forces the entrapment of the leg to end. Turning about Enigma leaps up for a dropkick to the sternum of Anvil and connects thus knocking the giant back before he falls forward and is on all fours once again.

A. Dennis: What is this bullshit. I hope to fucking god that Axel is just toying with this newcomer and scouting his offense to come back soon.

T. Cedar: You have to give Enigma credit however as he is showing us pure skills, something you almost never see from someone who you don’t know.

A. Dennis: Oh we all know him, I’ll be damned if he truly is someone under the mask we have never seen before. Probably some asshole like Tyler Lawson or something of the sort.

With the opposition almost down to the floor finally Enigma climbs the turnbuckles and awaits him turning about to attack. As Anvil arises completely oblivious to the cheers of the crowd and unaware of his opponent he turns around into Enigma leaping off with a cross body at him. The stalling was a fault in Enigmas plan however as Anvil reaches up and snags him out of mid air and holds the smaller star like he is a pillow across his chest. Wishing to make sure Enigma has a lot harder time no matter what maneuver he tries Anvil lifts Enigma up before driving the masked stars ribs into his knee as he bends down in a backbreaker like position. Anvil repeats this process twice more walking towards the corner with each kneeling step and further damaging the rib area of his smaller opposition. Finally reaching his destination, ‘The Daredevil’ falls backwards and launches the smaller man literally across the ring almost to the other corner with a fall away slam that has him land directly on those targeted ribs!

A. Dennis: Now this is what I was talking about, the heart of the small man may be great but it isn’t big enough to help him overcome the size differential here.

T. Cedar: Never doubt the pride of a fighter you should know that partner. A guy can seem fully out of it, but this crowd is slowly learning to get behind him with this match and it could add some extra fuel to that fire when you think the spark has diminished to nothing.

Rolling out of the ring, Anvil walks around to where Enigma is laying as the referee starts his counting on Anvil. Reaching in the ring Anvil grasps both the head and nearer leg of Enigma and drags him close to the ring post before finally pulling and placing pressure against the already injured ribs of the small man. To add further torque to it Anvil proceeds to place his boot against the post and apply more pressure since he has a counterweight finally. At the four count Anvil releases Enigma to avoid disqualification, but the damage is already done as the masked star clutches at his ribs which are badly hurt now. Rolling into the ring Anvil looks down at Enigma and picks him up by the mask and places him on his feet before swatting at the injured ribs and just pushing him down again to the canvas, laughing as the smaller star writhes in agony upon the canvas.

A. Dennis: In a sadistic way watching the torture of the younger star here is very fulfilling to watch.

T. Cedar: I always knew something was wrong with you and now part of it is identified with you loving pain in others.

Crawling away Enigma reaches a far corner and pulls himself up into a seated position as Anvil nears him. The giant reaches down but gets a surprise as Enigma uses the ropes for leverage and leaps up to kick Anvil in the jaw with the sole of his boot and force him to back away. The show of fighting spirit has the crowd chanting for the smaller star who comes out of the corner and unleashes more kicks at the seemingly healed tendon of Anvil’s leg but getting no response. Seeing this he backs away as Anvil turns around and swings with his arm but misses in his rage. Charging at Enigma Anvil lifts his leg into the abdomen of the younger man which basically covers most of his chest area and knocks him to the ground. Standing tall over the fallen carcass Anvil picks him up by the legs and places him into a power bomb position for his Brutal maneuver. However the young man fights with him and slips behind Anvil in what would usually be a sunset flip pinning maneuver. Due to the weight of the behemoth however Enigma is left sitting there as Anvil looks down and then jumps up to squash him. At the last moment Enigma rolls away and Anvil lands on nothing but canvas. Enigma rolls to his feet and dashes to the far ropes while wincing in slight pain as he bounces off before leaping into the air and jumping onto Anvils shoulders and planting the beast with a seated senton for the pin!

Before the referee can even attempt the three count Enigma goes flying to the ropes as Anvil powers out of the predicament.

A. Dennis: That little shit literally almost surprised us all and stole the victory here.

T. Cedar: As I said, never doubt the heart of a fighter until you have seen everything they can offer. If Axel wasn’t so intent with toying about with his opposition like they were nothing but food then he might actually do better and have victories.

A Dennis: You seriously want me to enjoy quick matches when it is a lot more fun seeing people be destroyed and their careers shortened because they disrespected someone and get stuck versus the beast in the ring?

With a sigh Cedar goes back to calling the match and ignoring his partner. As Anvil reaches his feet Enigma brings the fight to the beast with all he can and delivers a dropkick to his gut which only makes him stagger backwards while the masked star falls to the canvas in clear pain. Seeing an opportunity Anvil reaches down and clutches him by his throat before hoisting him into the air as the smaller man claws at the paw of Anvil to no luck. From about ten feet in the air the younger and less experienced man plummets towards the canvas with a devastating choke slam. With the smaller man down Anvil bends down and covers him hoping to end the match it seems.

1!

Axel pries the shoulder of Enigma off the canvas with a grin on his face in teasing the people it was over and elicits a major round of boos from these fans. Dragging Enigma over to the ropes Anvil places him parallel with them before he steps onto the chest of Enigma with both feet and pushing on the ropes to worsen the pressure. As the referee applies another count Anvil yet again lets it go to four before he hops off to not get disqualified.

T. Cedar: If only you were allowed to push the limits so many times before you got disqualified so you stopped nonsense torture like this.

A. Dennis: But you are able to do this so it doesn’t matter. Anvil is well within the rules of the match so sit back and enjoy as this young man winds up being able to not walk soon. Who knows, maybe we shall even find out who is under the mask if we are lucky.

Axel picks Enigma off the canvas and hooks him into a front chancery before hoisting him into the air and walking towards the center of the ring. While letting the blood flow towards the cranium of the smaller man Anvil teases just tossing him into the air but instead goes for his Cranium Fission Jackhammer finisher. Much to his dismay the smaller star actually torques his body and swings down to take Anvil with a DDT out of nowhere! Rolling away Enigma relies on the cheers of the crowd as he goes under the bottom rope and towards the turnbuckle. With the crowd behind him Enigma ascends to the top and looks out towards Anvil before leaping through the air and flipping his body to come crashing upon the giant with a swanton bomb! However due to the already bad back pain Enigma rolls off and is unable to execute a pin right away. After about ten seconds pass Enigma finally crawls over and places his body across that of the giant.

1!

2!

Anvil kicks out just before the referee hits the three count to the dismay of the fans.

A Dennis: See what happens to your heart there partner, he takes a risk and further hurts himself making it impossible to do anything.

T. Cedar: You can never give up on anyone here Adam, it may seem bleak but there are ways he could win which is what I hold out for.

A. Dennis: You and your underdog stories, they always keep you together even though we almost never see them.

Enigma looks at Anvil and is unsure what needs to be done to the giant as he slowly gets to his feet and clutches his back. While he climbs up Anvil starts to get up as well and Enigma knows it is now or never as he comes on and leaps onto the back of Anvil locking in a sleeper hold around his neck. Anvil staggers to his feet as the smaller man tries to choke him out with Anvil stumbling about. Ring prowess and experience come into play however as Anvil looks about and backs himself into a corner and squashes Enigma into the turnbuckle. Due to the height Enigma is able to sit upon the turnbuckle instead of falling to the canvas. Walking back towards where Enigma is Anvil ignores the referee to leave him alone and instead picks him up onto his shoulders. Walking to the middle of the ring Anvil unleashes a low guttural roar before launching the small man into the air and driving him head first into the canvas with the Darkness Drop while hooking the legs for the pin.

A. Dennis: Screw your talk about heart, it is academic that after what we just saw the match is over.

T. Cedar: Normally I would say that anyone’s heart could win out but no one has ever kicked out of this yet so I have to agree with you partner.

1!

2!

3!

DING! DING! DING!

As Laura announces Anvil as the winner the behemoth doesn’t even let the referee raise his arm, instead choosing to climb out of the ring and taunt some near by fans before hopping onto his motorcycle and leaving up the ramp.

T. Cedar: Well with that challenge down it is apparent that Axel is more focused upon getting ready for Endure and the Lone Wolf match.
