Following CM Punk’s WWE departure, but when he was still under contract to WWE, speculation was that the company could do something similar to Punk’s contract that they did with Rey Mysterio’s deal.

As we previously reported, because Rey Mysterio has missed so much time due to injury, WWE automatically re-upped his contract for the amount of ring time he missed.

There is now backstage concern as to whether or not he will return to action for WWE, as he has reportedly stopped cashing his paychecks, which could be a sign that he is trying to get out of his current deal.

Stop wasting the companies time and you wont have to do this, Rey.

Why did they renew his contract without his consent?

Rey didn't choose to have crappy knees.

They are allowed to do it when a superstar misses chunks of the contract dates due to injury or whatever. They did the same to Batista a few years back when he got injured.

They should just let Rey go away.

I love Rey. He's not even a half of what he use to be even a decade ago, but his body is totally gone. All the respect in the world to him, wish he could retire peacefully.
