Darkness.
The scene opens up backstage in the mysteriously dark depths of the arena somewhere. Three figures are seen standing in a dimly lit hallway. As the camera comes into focus, it reveals three quarters of the newest faction to XWA calling themselves Dark Atlas. The three figures are Axel Anvil, Alexis Rose and Sandy Walkins. Jakeb Steel, the anomaly of the group, is not in the shot but he is figured to be close by somewhere at the point. Apparently, he has to be if he is competing tonight. The three other members, however, are all standing side by side; of course, the one who draws the ire of the audience is the sinister entity, Sandy, holding up her doll of Jakeb close to her.
Alexis: "Tonight begins something that the Revolutionary Front couldn’t have imagined in their wildest dreams. Their ideals of a revolution do come to fruition, except it is in such a way that could not possibly be fathomed. They have been the laughing stock as of late in the tag team division, which unfortunately is only going to continue tonight as they squander another chance to make a name for themselves. These two men might have some veteran status to their quote on quote credibility as they say, but tonight they are going against two men whose minds are one. Some tag partners are good simply for the longevity. The big question is -- what happens though when you get chaos brought upon by people who have just faced each other enough they can fight in-sync without worries?"
As Alexis stops to gather her thoughts, Sandy begins humming the melody of the nursery rhyme, "ring around the rosies" as she playfully, yet mindlessly, rubs the head of her doll, Jakeb.
Alexis: "People know what I am talking about, those battles where you just see everything good get countered and you wonder what it takes to finish the other off. Tonight, the havoc that shall be seen will be brought by that methodology. Two men with one common goal, showing that they are truly two of the best in the world today."
Axel steps up next to his sister and places a hand on her shoulder. Alexis simply steps aside and gives Axel the floor to speak.
Axel: "People talk about my past here quite often; I say let them. Its the past. That was then and as you see before you, I am a different man. Tonight, you will not only see a new side of me, but also see a man who is new to some of you, familiar to others, and just see pure destruction. When you have carried the best, facing the rest seems like nothing. Revolutionary Front, you are far from the best, so hopefully you can learn to adapt -- otherwise we will drag you down into oblivion."
Sandy is standing nearby and holds her doll up to her ear, seemingly listening to something Jakeb is saying to her. The other two by now know not to interrupt this and allow her a moment to ‘hear’ whatever she is being told.
Sandy: "Oooh, you tell them, Jakeb. Jakeb said, the only reason why we were put on the pre-show tonight is because the XWA owners are afraid our destruction will traumatize the viewers and cause viewers to change the channel. So, for the sake of maintaining their sponsors, we were put on the pre-show. Hehe. See?? Even the owners fear the incoming destruction that awaits The Revolutionary Front. Its so awesome!"
Axel: "What she says is true. Tonight, Revolutionary Front, we are not your average tag team. You aren’t just meeting two men in the ring. You boys are meeting two men who show little to no remorse about what they cause to others. Two men who are willing to break their own bones if it meant putting you on stretchers. Two men who will literally sacrifice themselves, just to have our arms raised in victory. How do you beat a team like that boys? Well, sorry to say this but ... you don't."
Sandy: "How do you hurt someone who loves pain? How do you kill that is already dead? How can you truly be the greatest in the world -- when that very world is in our hands? Oh, what's that, Jakeb? **holds the doll up to her ear** They don't believe me? Well then, you'll have to make them believe, silly? You have to make an example out of Revolutionary Front. Then soon enough, the realization will hit them all."
At that moment, a dark figure with white face-paint appears behind, Sandy Walkins. All four members of Dark Atlas now stand before the came, emitting a sinister vibe.
Sandy Walkins: "This is our world now."
Scene fades to black.
