The room is quiet. Not much of anything can be seen, yet it somehow feels familiar. Where could we be? There's a dim light by candle in the room and various pictures can be seen on the walls, although it's far too dark to make out what they actually are. The audience can't help but feel a deep sense of fear and despair as they stare at the titantron, playing a video with this eerie setting. That's when it hits them. They know exactly what they're looking at. It's a place they got to visit a few times in the past. A dark place, a silent place. A place where even a diamond can't shine. Just then, the camera begins to move. It is pulled into the air and spun around to reveal the man holding it. This man is Danny Diamond.

Danny Diamond
"Hello, folks. Welcome back to my sanctuary. I've told you all about this place before. I've let you all in here. For those who haven't journeyed to my sanctuary in the past, let me give you a little tour."

Diamond turns the camera away from his face and begins walking with it, allowing the viewers to see the various pictures on the wall. They aren't a pretty sight, not one bit. From decapitated heads to impaled chests and single body parts cut off of their respective bodies, the pictures just seem to get more and more gruesome as Danny walks along. There's even a very familiar picture of the remains of a certain charred canine.

"Lovely little reminders of what kind of World we live in, aren't these?"

Danny stops when he comes across a glass case. Inside that case? A mask.

Danny Diamond
"Hmm...Still in good condition."

Danny continues walking to show the viewers more and more gruesome pictures on the walls.

Danny Diamond
"To most, this wouldn't seem like the most ideal place to call a sanctuary. To me? It's very calming. Chaos only exists when you try to fight reality. When you just accept what we are, what we live in...It's a good feeling. Very therapeutic. I may not be the monster I once was, but I truly believe that part of me still lives deep inside. Somewhere just lurking, waiting. Waiting for that opportune time to come back out. Waiting for just the right moment to sink its teeth into the reality of the World. That monster has a name, but I'm not going to delve into that. I've got more important matters at hand."

Danny stops walking and turns the camera around to view his face.

"We're just a few short weeks away from CyberSlam. It's been revealed that my match with Rob Chapman will be an exhausting one. No-Disqualifications as we battle it out for sixty uninterrupted minutes. This may very well be our best battle yet. It'll be a gruesome one, that's for sure. The name of this company is Xtreme Wrestling Association, after all. So it's fitting that we go out there and put on the most extreme match this place has ever seen. It's nothing personal. Me and Rob are the best of friends. How that happened, I'm not quite sure. I mean, he did set me on fire once. That's an odd way to begin a friendship. Nevertheless, there's respect there. This mutual respect for one another that can only be gained through some of the fiercest battles ever witnessed by a human's eyes. This is certainly not our first match and I doubt it will be our last. It will, however, be my last in XWA. This can end one of two ways. I go out with dignity, taking Rob to his very limit in the best performance of my career. Or...I can go through the motions, something I've been doing for the past year here in XWA. I promise you this, that will not happen at CyberSlam. I respect Rob far too much to give him anything less than my absolute best. He said that if this isn't a clash of the titans, it's over for him. Don't worry, Robert. It'll be much more than you could have ever imagined."

"There will be blood. There will be sweat. There will be tears. There will be only one winner, but there won't be a single loser. Nobody that spends sixty minutes against either of us and survives can be a loser. You will survive, won't you Robert? I will, win or lose. It's one of the things I'm the best at, surviving. I mean, you set fire to me and I survived. I dealt with the biggest psychopath in existence destroying me from the inside out and I survived. I survive. It's what I do. But you...I'm not so sure. I mean, you're good. In fact, you're amazing. I don't care what company it's for, you belong in a Hall of Fame somewhere. But you've never taken the best I have to offer. You may think you have, but you haven't. I've given you a lot of me, but I've never given you all. Even when you took a television monitor from Joey and Dean's commentary table and punted it into my head and I kept fighting. That wasn't my all. Truth be told, I've never unleashed my full power on anyone. I never found it necessary. Even when fighting for the 2WWF World Championship or defending my record breaking LionHeart Championship reign, I've never truly felt the need to bring out the best in me. But now...I don't know. There's no special prize for winning our match. Win or lose, I'm done with XWA. I don't become World Heavyweight Champion, I don't get a spot in the Hall of Fame, nothing. But, at the same time, I feel like this is it. This is my chance to prove to the World that I am truly the greatest wrestler to ever step foot in a ring."

"I've beaten you before, more times than you've beaten me, so why is now any different? Is it because we're going to be wrestling for a full hour with no rules? Is it because this is my send off in XWA? Is it because you demand I bring my A-Game? I honestly have no clue what it is. All I know is I have never and likely will never again fight as hard as I will at CyberSlam. I'm not saying it's all down-hill from here. With 2WWF returning, I've certainly got my sights set on that World Championship that's been ever-so-elusive from me. But if you think, even for a second, that you're facing the same Danny Diamond you've faced so many times in the past, you're dead wrong. Let's ignore the fact that I gained about thirty pounds of pure muscle. Let's ignore the fact that I've had to fight off demon after demon. This is about pure determination. You know how my theme goes. He who makes a beast out of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man. Well, guess what. The pain's gone. I told you before that even the heart of a lion stops beating one day. That day may very well be among us. Does it scare you, Rob? Knowing that your best friend in the whole entire World is a few weeks away from tearing your heart out and eating it. Are you afraid of me? To be honest, even I'm a little frightened of myself. There's so much that I know I can do and also so much I don't know I can do. It's a truly terrifying thought, knowing that you're going to be in the ring with your best friend but not knowing what you'll do to him. I have no game plan, just a general outline of what's going to happen. Us bleeding together as the audience pleads for us to stop the violence. Oh yes, it will be too much even for them."

"They're savages. They get off on the torment of others. So, for us to go far enough that even they can't watch anymore will truly be an accomplishment. I wonder if it's truly sunk in yet, just the severity of this situation. I mean, this isn't like any match we've ever had before. This is a sixty minute match, no breaks, no rules. Yes, I've participated in Sixty Minutes In Hell before, but that pales in comparison to this. No offense to T.K., but he's not you. He's a gifted athlete, but he just doesn't have the heart, the determination that you have. You want so bad to be the better wrestler. It's kind of an obsession by this point. But, you know what? I'm okay with that. Aren't we all a little obsessed, after all? Obsessed with being the best, the one true greatest. I want it. You want it. At CyberSlam, only one of us gets it. I suppose I've taken enough time out of Vendetta, however. I mean, does anyone really even care about our match? I'm leaving when it's over and you're not even a member of the roster. We're not David Michaels and Dominik Diveraz fighting it out for the World Heavyweight Championship. We're just two people who will no longer even be a thing in XWA after CyberSlam is over. Nobody gives a shit about us, Robert, but that's okay. I care about us. You care about us. That's all we need. We don't need their appreciation. It's not about them, it's about us. Get ready for sixty minutes of pure excellence, my friend. Pure excellence and absolute inferiority. See you then."

Suddenly, the camera fades to black.

Excellent promo, as always. Only thing I might offer/suggest is to break up the paragraphs just a little more. I know that sounds like hypocrisy coming from me, but it is something I tried to do in mine, even if it was just spacing dialogue down a line to create a feeling that there's a pause there. But yeah, great promo. Danny's hideaway gives me the creeps.

I love both you guys, you're making me forget there are other matches on the Cyberslam card with these promos. Great job Snoopeh.

Thanks guys. I wouldn't say I out-did you, Rob. Your promo was pure sex. But I'm really looking forward to this match, though.
