We were awful. We were immature. We were lucky. Poor touches & fitness all around. Klinsmann's two-a-days has clearly ran this team into the ground. We should've been working on tactics, NOT fitness.

And Bradley was the worst player. This was probably his worst game in a US shirt, & that's concerning. Part of this is that we have players not playing in their proper positions.

Easily the worst game we've played since we played at the Azteca last year...a game we didn't deserve a result in either. We played worse than Nigeria & Iran

Another thing, Klinsmann's training methods has probably cost both Altidore & Besler their WC. And now even Bedoya & Cameron are questionable.

Eh. Besler was precautionary and the other two aren't really an issue as far as I know. There were a lot of health scares but I think come time to play Portugal they have three of the four.

Oh, & for the people who think Ghana "deserved" a win: no they didn't. They were just as poor. They choose to go w/ that ping pong strategy which was never going to work. Ghana played dirty & tried fouling. Unfortunate to face a team who wanted to play as ugly as they wanted to. Ghana only have themselves to blame. USA played on short fumes for most of the match. NEITHER of these teams are going further if they play the way they did today.

Oh, & one more thing.

It's funny how the US outplays Ghana in 2006 & 2010 & still lose 2-1, but Ghana outplays the US this year & loses 2-1.

Meh, the U.S. has played well before and lost. Today they played rather poorly and won.

There are several teams that need to improve off their first effort at this World Cup to advance ... but many of them have zero points.

USA was poor.

They're very efficient at scoring though. They're one step closer to qualifying if they at least tie with Portugal, they'll make it through.

And I agree with Drachen, where was Ghana's explosive attack? It was nowhere to be found. A 1-1 tie was fair here. But USA pulled it out.

Honduras is the only CONCACAF team not to win a game. An embarrassment.

And my problem w/ the US is that this team continues to lack an identity in attack. I don't know if Klinsmann wants us to be a possession team or a counter-attacking team. I prefer a counter-attacking soccer, but even that needs to be choreographed right. It's evident that this team is ignoring tactical responsibility in training...and that is down to coaching. This is the most talented team the US has ever had & Klinsmann has had almost 4 years to figure out how he wants us to play

Given the players he likes to put in, I think you should be a posession team.

I don't think they have the midfield to be a possession team. I'm optimistic Jozy will be able to play and we'll have minimal switches. The more I think about Juergen's line-up the more I like it, honestly. Going with Zusi off the bench as an offensive spark makes sense. If Jozy can go I'd go with the same group he started with. If he can't, I'd start Wondo as I think he's a better finisher and then go with Johannson (SP) and Zusi as subs in the 2nd.
