So up next is our main event for the straps Teddy and it should be a helluva fight.
No doubt Joey, these two teams have been battling, but it seems like the champions have turned the tide in the course of the last few encounters.
Could be, but I’m not betting against those loggers.
Well, I have to wonder what the loss of Lumber Jill has done to them. I mean they’ve been keeping mum about it, but according to Wolfie she’s done.
A lady fair with a great pair, but Jim and Cletus have to keep their eyes on the prize…let's go up and see another bun I'd gladly stuff my wiener in...Laura Watts with the introductions.
The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is your main event of the evening and will be contested for the XWA Tag Team Championship.
The dulcet pickings of Leadbelly’s old guitar announce the arrival of the challengers.
Introducing first, the challengers, at a combined weight of 526lbs and hailing from the backwoods of New Brunswick Canada, Cletus & Big Jim: the Logging Crew.
The Logging Crew stride out into view. Cletus is decked in is trademark black watch cap, Mackinaw jacket, and carrying his double-bitted axe. He's sporting a shit-eating grin and singing along with Mr. Ledbetter, and is followed by Big Jim wrapped in animal skins and logging chains. He strokes his moose skins suggestively and is eerily fascinated by his pulp hook. After a moment of arguing with the foul-mouthed fans surrounding them, they begin their walk to the ring.
They’re dumb as dirt, tough as nails and they don’t take no shit!
No arguments there partner, but do they have what it takes to win the gold tonight?
Well, as far as I’m aware, they are undefeated in tag team action thus far.
Touché
Paying no more attention to the decidedly mixed reaction from the crowd, the loggers make their way into the squared circle and step between the strands.
And their opponents, they are the reigning and defending XWA Tag Team Champions. Weighing in at a combined weight of 444lbs and accompanied tonight by Carnage and Nova, “The Showstealer” David Michaels & “The Jack of Hearts” JHalc: D-Volution!
The champions walk out onto the entrance ramp, awash in the adulation of their fans. At their side is the beautiful "Wildcat" Nova and the hulking mass of Total Carnage. The foursome begin to walk down the ramp, making their way to the ring.
As I said, the champs are coming off some big wins and a sneak attack on the crew a few weeks back. Could Lady Luck be riding with them tonight?
I’d feel pretty god-damn lucky if Nova was riding with me…or on me for that matter.
After the referee pats each of the combatants down, ensuring they’ve no contraband, nor clothed in anything too fearsome, he motions for the bell and the contest begins. Jim and JHalc face off and come to grips, the latter grabbing a quick headlock takedown before springing to his feet again. The two lock-up a second time, but this time the twisted timber slayer wrestles his foe to the mat, only to have the Jack of Hearts frustratingly slip from his grasp. Jim gets to his feet and grabs a side headlock, but the champion comes up with an arm wringer in reply, leading his burly foe into the friendly corner and tagging in Michaels. The show-stealer drops an elbow on the wrenched limb, dropping the larger man to his knees. The world champion's legs scissor one of the birler's arms. He then grabs hold of the wrist of that arm and pulls it upwards, the resulting cross armbar causing hyper-extension of the shoulder and elbow. Big Jim writhes in pain, but manages to lift himself to verticality and make a tag. However the official is too preoccupied with the notion that Dave Michaels’ shoulders may now be touching the mat, and, in his eagerness to investigate, misses the tag completely. As Cletus barrels into the squared circle, he’s cut off by the man in stripes, who demands he return to his corner. The burly Beaubearian protests, but the arbiter points to his eye and assures him that if the tag wasn’t seen it might as well have never happened. Meanwhile, JHalc’s back into the fray while the referee’s distracted, laying the boots into Big Jim while his partner continues to torque the arm, eliciting a series of wounded whoops.
Champs are out to an early start here, picking a body part and going after it.
They’re using the dumbshit ref too; working the double team. I mean, how often does this happen to Logging Crew opponents, and now it’s them.
Finally, Jim manages to wrench himself clear enough to make a tag in sight of the official. Cletus comes in and catches Michaels on the rise, jabbing an open hand into his throat and then hooking a top wrist lock. The eyes of Showstealer blaze a bit brighter as he rears back and fires Cletus across the ring in an impressive show of strength that doubles as an escape. He catches the lumberjack on the back foot, stunning him with choice lefts and makes the tag to the Jack of Hearts. The combined pairing of D-Volution each twist a limb on the massive logger and drive their shoulders into his chest, sending him to the mat. The double gilded daredevil comes off the ropes at a gallop toward the rising woodsman, but Cletus has the instinct enough to stop the smaller man with a sharp shot to the abdomen and make another tag.
The might be ugly as fuck, but these loggers know something about tag wrestling; notice their frequent tags.
No slouches that’s for sure Joey, they know how valuable that fresh man can be in a match of this magnitude.
Big Jim wastes no time with faint hearts and wraps his massive mitts around the gullet of the champion, throttling him until forced to break by the referee’s disqualification count. The supine form of JHalc is too tempting a target for the perverse pulp peeler and he stomps his boot down upon it, over and over again, leering at the D-Volution corner all the while. The contorted features of Carnage leer right back, while the icy glare of Nova tells that this kitten is well aware of how to scratch. Jim peppers the champ’s head with a few first-rate fists, and finally settles into a reverse chinlock, grinding the head and laying all of his 245lbs on the back of his adversary. Still dazed, it seems like JHalc has had his last laugh, his body beginning to slacken. The official moves in to check on things, lifting the arm the requisite three times and getting only two drops, much to the crowd’s delight. As the titlist gets his feet under him, mitigating the downward pressure of the hold, he lands a few back elbows that break the Canadian’s grasp entirely. Yet, before he can escape to the relative safety of his corner, Jim grabs a handful of trunks and pulls him into a kidney punch. Momentarily blinded by the pain radiating across his lower body, the Jack of Hearts isn’t even aware of the tag exchanged between the Logging Crew. Only the first crashing double axe handle alerts him to their presence behind him. Sadly for the champion the first axe handle is nowhere near the last.
Oh! The patented number by the Logging Crew, and each of those blows take something out of you.
Damn right about that, we saw JHalc take an arm and work it earlier, well these big woodsmen have just decided that he’s the weak link.
They wouldn’t be the first to make that mistake…
After the Crew has finished serving up their patented double helping of double axe handles, Cletus remains on the inside and plants a stiff kick to the smaller man’s ribcage, which sends him tumbling along the canvas in order to get out of harms way. The big paw of the pine island powerhouse hems him in and attaches itself to JHalc’s shoulder, grinding into the soft tissue of the trapezius area. However, the Jack of Hearts is a knave in his own right and not about to be a captive. With the crowd behind him, or at least the majority of the women in the stands and those men inspired by the notions and hopes of Nova’s celebratory nudity, he rolls backward and catches Cletus in the brow with a kick, the resounding thud echoing throughout the rafters. He lands a double shot to the chest before scooping the big man up and planting him on the canvas, the D-Volution faithful cheering the impressive effort. As Cletus scrambles to his feet too quickly, JHalc is right there, planting both hands on the woodsman’s bulbous cranium and leaping into the air to execute a jumping headbutt.
What did I tell you Joey?
Hey, I didn’t say he was the weak link, I just said that’s what Cletus and Jim were thinking, and no one accused them of being geniuses. I’ll tell you this though, he better quit dickin’ around and make a tag.
Alas the commentators speak with prescience, as the Jack of Hearts next offensive offering, a standing dropkick, is batted away by the beast of bonnie Beaubears, who falls upon his prone form like a felled pine, letting gravity amplify the effect of his own headbutt, which connects with the solar plexus. Cletus bounds up and makes the tag immediately, sending Jim in to make a cover, but gain only a two count. He hauls the champion to his feet and reaches behind to hook the head, while hooking the leg with his own, before falling backward, pulling the opponent to the mat back-first. The Russian legsweep leaves the Jack of Hearts dazed, but able to kick out once again at the count of two. A bit annoyed, Jim drags his opposition toward the Logging Crew corner, lifts himself onto the second rope and drops a leg. He then reaches over and makes the tag to his partner. Cletus drops another headbutt onto JHalc, but still only manages to get a two count for his effort. From the D-Volution corner comes a flurry of stomps and exhortations, as the Michaels, Nova and Carnage will their friend to continue the fight. Ignorant of the pleas, Cletus hits the ropes, to get a bit more power, and falls upon JHalc again, driving the point of his knee into the heart of the Jack. Another tag brings Big Jim back into the fray.
Maybe these boys have been fighting single a little too often lately Teddy, they’re a rusty I think.
Well, I’m not sure about that, they were doing well in the early going, but I’ll concede that not tagging out was a major error on the part of JHalc.
Big Jim gives a few taunting kicks to his downed foe, urging him to his feet. When he rises, he sets about to whip him into the far ropes, but the move is miraculously reversed and now it’s Big Jim flung off the taunt strands and slammed to the mat. The crowd erupts as the hot tag brings in the world champ. Michaels unloads a flurry of blows into the defenceless Jim, who can barely raise his hands to shield himself. He fires Jim so hard into the corner that the momentum carries him over the buckle and post, clear to the floor below. Sadly for the birler, the Laughing Giant is close at hand to fire lumberjack back into the squared circle, as though this were eponymous match. Cletus rounds the corner a second too late and is left standing off with the D-Volution muscle. Jim hops to his feet to jaw with his manhandler, but is spun around into a flurry of strikes by the heart-breaker. After a succession of blows, the mad trapper falls like the majestic Scotch pine, crashing to the canvas seconds before Michaels descends with an elbow drop, which forces the air from his target in a great gust. Yet, his pinfall attempt yields only a firm two.
The Logging Crew can’t afford to get caught up mouthing off to the men outside the ring. Their opponents are in the ring.
Yeah Ted, but come on, that big bald bastard is hard to miss ands he’s got no business throwing people around…or blocking my view of Nova’s ass.
A dropkick levels the rising the logger and drops him to his knees, but a blind charge by the champion is ill-advised, as the Black Rapids brute catches him and uses his own momentum to propel him upward. Michael’s sternum collides with the top turnbuckle and his head smashes onto the steel post, opening a small wound. Sensing an opportunity, Jim attacks the gash and attempts to open it wide with the aid of his teeth, paying heed to the referee’s count only in the instants before it threatens to end the match prematurely. He substitutes the snap of his jaws for the kick of his leg, stabbing at the open wound with his boot, before making the tag to Cletus. Anxious to sample the champion’s brow, the island roughneck sinks in his teeth for a bite, and proceeds to loose a wad of blood and spittle at JHalc, bringing him into the ring and allowing the challengers to double up on the show-stealer.
There it is Teddy, you play with the bull moose, you get the horns up the ass…
Moose don’t have horns, they have antlers.
What am I, fuckin’ National Geographic?
Cletus sends Micheals to the ropes, but the smaller man comes back with a punch to the gut, which doubles over the whistle punk. However, the champion can’t take full advantage of the opportunity he’s been afforded, and stumbles about momentarily, clearly trying to regain his bearings. The Canadian connects with a haymaker, but David replies with a stiff jab, and second, and a third. He winds up and delivers a huge punch that leaves the logger seated in the middle of the ring and sets the crowd on its feet. The tag to JHalc is a foregone conclusion, but the Jack of Hearts shows immediate concern for his partner, ordering him sternly to the back, a conclusion which Nova and Carnage concur upon with some reticence. Off he goes, as the logger thunders across the ring, only to be stopped by three punches in combination, paired with a headbutt. Finding one opponent dazed, he delivers a wake up call that knocks Big Jim from the apron to the floor. Knowing turn about is fair play, he gives Cletus’ forehead a nibble with extreme prejudice.
What possible reason do these guys have for biting.
I dunno, maybe they didn’t get enough to eat…
The risk taker bounces off the ropes, and leaps up into the air, before connecting with a forearm smash that sends the rattled rustic into the ropes, where he becomes entangled. Measuring his foe despite the referee’s best efforts to halt the onslaught until the woodsman is free, JHalc is evidently in control, despite the numerical disadvantage. Even when Cletus is freed, and slumps near lifeless, JHalc confidently strides backward, intent upon gathering the requisite steam to lay in some heavy offence. Sadly, it is not to be as the knee of Big Jim crashes into the small of the champ’s back and he drags his comrade to their corner, in order that he might make the tag. The braying of the D-Volution members on the outside does little to soften the referee’s heart toward a favourable DQ win for the champions. There follows, when Big Jim re-enters the contest legally, the locking of the sou-West savage’s arms around the Jack's waist and the nauseating decent before he finishes the gutwrench suplex by slamming him over back-first to the mat.
JHalc’s really puttin’ up a helluva fight, but he can’t last.
Guts and determination are what this D-Volution team is all about, don’t sell them short.
Jim makes a cover but, once again, can manage only a two. He tags in Cletus, and both men douse their opposition in a further course of double axe handles, bringing Carnage up onto the apron and setting off a shouting match with the referee. The roar of the crowd is near deafening, but they do not decry the brashness of the big man, but rather herald the arrival of the world champion, now bandaged as though recently returned from war. Michaels lights into both logger’s with ferocity unseen as it in this contest. At the height of the thrashing he stands feeding left hands into Cletus’ face and rights into Jim’s almost simultaneously. He finally ends by crashing both men’s heads to together and watching them drop to the canvas and roll out on opposite sides.
The world champion, cleaning house, can you believe it?!
Maybe Cletus and Jim blew their opening, Michaels is a scary sonofabitch when his blood it up.
The official is determined to gain control of this one, not let it end in a DQ that pleases no one. As David checks on the state of his partner, once more lifting him to his feet, the man in stripes takes a look at the heart-breaker’s doctored wound. On the outside, with both challengers groggy and worn, a plot forms in Carnage’s mind. He sternly warns Nova to stay put, as he stalks Cletus, intent on further softening the legal man for what he is sure will be an inevitable conclusion. He lights into the Beaubearian, while the ref is caught up with the tag champs. Yet, curiosity stirs the heart of the Wildcat and she too ventures forward to clean her claws by rending the perverse pulp peeler. Finding Jim huddled in the fetal position, she’s to eager to realize the danger. Jim’s too old a cat to be played by a kitten like Nova, she rolls him over and catches a fireball full in the face. Her screams fill the air and bring her three men running. Jim skulks away to tend his partner. D-Volution hangs tough and decides to have Carnage escort Nova to the back. In one fell stroke, the Logging Crew has halved their opposition.
Jesus! Look at that! God almighty, they just burned Nova!
What a heartless move!
These Logging Crew guys are fucked…just…wow…
David Michaels’ own heart is breaking, as he follows the procession halfway back the aisle, as though it were a funeral cortège, as the official urges him to return to the fray. Back inside, Big Jim rolls in and telegraphs a double axe handle from halfway across the ring, ample time for JHalc to plant a boot to the solar plexus. The Jack of Hearts sets up for a piledriver, but another axe handle, this one from Cletus, crashes into his back unseen. Jim rises up, holding JHalc across his back and delivering the Hermit’s Hangover. He immediately bolts from the ring and makes to head off the world champion. The river forks rambler now locks his opponent’s leg behind the knee and then traps the other leg over the already-locked foot. He then uses his other foot to press against his foe’s knee; an Indian Deathlock best known as The Log Jam. As the brawl re-ignites outside, the referee returns to the submission hold and it looks like the champion is out. Jhalc’s arm drops once, twice and holds, suspended in the air, for the briefest of seconds. A triumphant cheer forms in the throats of the fans, but it’s snuffed out by the fall of the mighty limb. The man in the zebra shirt waves his hands and calls for the bell, thankful this match is over.

Tonight's main event in Washington, DC, is finally upon us as the XWA Tag Team Championship is set to be put on the line as the current Champions, JHalc and David Michaels, prepare for their first title defence against the men that beat them last month, The Logging Crew!
Cedar: "And welcome back to Vendetta everyone and it's main event time here in Washington, DC, as we are set for Tag Title action Joey!"
Miles: "Yep and, more specifically, we're set for D-Volution to finally lose those damn titles. I'mre more confident than ever tonight as Logging Crew already beat these bastards last month. This is the beginning of the end, Cedar! HAHA!"
Cedar: "Well, I'm sure the man sitting next to you at this time may not agree with that...the newest member of D-Volution, 'Total' Carnage is with is. Welcome to the broadcast table, Carnage!"
Carnage: "Thanks for having me. Thought it'd come out here and see my buddies kick some Ass Logging ass here tonight!"
Miles: "That's a lot of ass!"
Carnage: "We'll you'd know all about that, Joey..."
Cedar: "...everything is set and we are about to get under way with this one!"
DING...DING...DING!!!
The match for the XWA Tag Team Championship is finally under way. D-Volution appear to be in a good mood here tonight, as they reclaimed all the top gold in the company once again last week. However, their Tag Team Title are under serious threat, as the Logging Crew already know how to beat these two men after gaining a victory of the champions last month. Big Jim is stood near his corner, with his partner Cletus on the ring apron. For D-Volution, it looks as though JHalc is going to be the one to start this match up, as David Michaels pats his partner on the back and climbs onto the apron. JHalc, showing no fear, steps up tot he slightly taller Big Jim and the two men meet in the centre of the ring. Jay looks at this largely built individual and cocks his head to the right a little, his eyes piercing into Jim's trying to figure him out. Jim just stands in front of JHalc, not moving a muscle, before The Jack of Hearts lunges his left hand forwards and cracks Jim in the face! Big Jim stumbles back a bit, not entirely expecting JHalc to take it right to him like that. JHalc follows it up with a hard second, rocking Jim back another foot before hitting a third. JHalc then leans in on Jim and pushes him to the ropes, attempting to whip him off. Jim reverses it, powerfully, and almost floors JHalc with the power in the Irish Whip. The Intercontinental Champion remains on his feet, however, and bounces off the ropes. He rushes back to Jim and jumps into the air. JHalc goes for a Leaping Clothesline...but Big Jim stands hi ground and dead weights it. JHalc connects with the move, but instantly falls to the mat, almost as though he just Clotheslined a brick wall!
Cedar: "JHalc just leaped into a brick wall. Big Jim didn't move an inch!"
Miles: "Well he looks like a brick wall...hell, he probably eats bricks for breakfast!"
Carnage: "Actually, Joey, he's a lumberjack...so he eats wood for breakfast..."
Cedar: "Oh my..."
Miles: "HA! OK, that was funny!"
Big Jim, not in am laughing mood unlike Carnage on commentary, reaches down and pulls JHalc up and knees him in the gut. He then picks up with ease and Scroop Slams him down, straight into the mat. JHalc holds his back, as jim casually bounces off the ropes and jumps into the air, dropping his massive legs across JHalc's chest with a Leg Drop. Jim then shuffles around for a loose Lateral Press.
1... 2.... Kick out!
In a no nonsense style, Jim gets to his feet and reaches back down, literally grabbing JHalc round the throat with his right hand and dragging him up. Jim then moves towards his corner, reaching out for the tag, before an annoyed JHalc stomps on his foot until the grip is relinquished. JHalc stumbles backwards to his corner, holding his throat, while giving Big Jim an evil glare. Michaels looks on on the apron and gives his charismatic partner a quick shoulder rub, before whispering some instructions in his ear. Jim, who was going to tag his partner in, decides to not do so and doesn't like the fact that JHalc didn't play ball there. Jay nods his head to his partner, before walking back into the centre of the ring and challenging Jim to a test of strength. JHalc places his right hand behind his back and raises the left one into the air, telling Jim to bring it! Jim, who so far in his XWA career isn't known to have the most large of personalities, manages to crack a tiny smile before accepting Jay's proposal and walking into the middle of the ring. Jim raises his right hand up and locks into JHalc's. Jim quickly takes control of the hold, twisting JHalc's hand around and causing considerable pain...but JHalc is no fool and quickly gauges his right hand into the eyes of Jim, breaking the hold completely. Big Jim is temporarily blinded, as the ref informs JHalc that was illegal...like he didn't know. The larger man stumbles back to the corner, feeling around for the ropes to lean on, while Jay is all over him like white on rice! He runs in and delivers a Sitting Running Corner Clothesline right to Big Jim's chest area, knocking the wind out of him as he stumbles out. The Intercontinental Champion is applauded on by his tag partner on the apron, as he scramble through the ropes and onto the ring apron. He then rushes to the top turnbuckle, as Jim turns around still holding his eye area. JHalc leaps off and hits a huge Crossbody Splash, dropping him down into a hook of the leg.
1... Kick out!
Jim powers out of the pin, pushing JHalc up into the air and knocking him away by several feet. JHalc, though, expected it and quickly runs over to the ropes again and climbs onto the apron. JHalc steadies himself as he holds onto the top rope, before jumping up and springboarding off the top rope! JHalc clunks his left elbow right into Jim's face, knocking him clean off his feet with a Flying Forearm Smash! The crowd cheers, as JHalc looks to be in fine form already here tonight, as he rushes back to his feet and quickly settles on his next piece of offence. The Intercontinental Champion waits for Jim to start getting back to his feet, before racing over to the corner. He this time pushes off the second turnbuckle pad and twists around in the air, going to hit him with a Triangle Dropkick...but instead JHalc eats a devastating Big boot squarely to the jaw which rocks him to the canvas, wondering where he is.
Cedar: "JHalc going to the well far too many times there and Jim saw the offence coming, Joey."
Miles: "You know why? Because he's an idiot..."
Carnage: "...who's an idiot, Joey?!"
Miles: "...oh shi---JIM! Him, Jim is an idiot, of course...JIM THE IDIOT...that's what the call him...ha...ha..ha?"
Carnage: "I honestly see why Davey and Jay hate your guts..."
Cedar: "you and your big mouth, Joey."
Carnage: "Yeah, stick to shoving burritos in there or maybe even my fist?"
Miles: "I'll stick to the burritos..."
Carnage: "Wise man."
Jim shakes off the pain from his eye and pulls JHalc by his anger in temper, over to his corner. Jim angrily stomps on JHalc's right knee, before tagging in his tag team partner, Cletus the Lumberjack. David Michaels claps his hands in support, as the Logging Crew begin to pick his partner up. The pair then push JHalc against the ropes and whip him across the ring, the Intercontinental Champion rebounding back with some force. As Jay rebounds back, the Logging Crew turn to one another and push out their Elbows, cracking them both into the jaw of JHalc. Jim then drops a heavy Elbow Drop in the follow up, before Cletus hits the ropes and jumps into the air, coming down with a nice Splash to the Jack of Hearts. The referee tells Jim to get out of the ring, as Cletus hooks the far leg.
1... 2.... Kick out!
JHalc kicks out, sitting up and holding his face. Cletus immediately grabs holds of JHalc round the neck and keeps him seated in Side Chin Lock. JHalc slides his left hand between his jaw and Cletus' arm, making sure he is able to breath, as he attempts to battle back up to his feet. Cletus puts on a tight grip, but JHalc manages to get back to his feet regardless. He begins to elbow the big man in the gut several times, looking to break free and just we it looks as though he is about to, Cletus grabs JHalc's short head of hair and yanks it backwards. The Jack of Hearts slams into the mat, the rear of his head cracking into it particularly hard. Cletus reaches down and pulls Jay up to his feet, htting him with a rather violent Headbutt. JHalc is knocked back several feet, not telegraphing that move. Cletus then hits JHalc with a Forearm Clubbing blow, right to his back, before pushing him off the ropes. Jay rebounds back and Cletus leans over, thrusting him high up into the air with a Back Body Drop...but JHalc shifts in mid air and lands on his feet behind Cletus. JHalc looks semi-drunk, as he shakes his head before leaping upwards and clutching onto Cletus' back! JHalc locks in a Sleeper hold the best he can, while Cletus surges and shakes JHalc around the ring trying to get him off. JHalc is shaken around like a rag doll, before Cletus begins to slow his pace and begins to reach out for his partner, who is stretching his body out over the top rope in order to get the tag.
Cedar: "JHalc is trying to put the big man to sleep here...and it appears to be working!"
Miles: "Just watching one of his matches is enough to send anyone to sleep..."
Carnage: "I am right here!"
Miles: "...God dammit'..."
Cletus eventually gives up trying to tag his partner in and instead surges his whole body backwards, towards one of the unoccupied corners. He looks to plant JHalc into it, but the crafty IC Champion is smart enough to lift his legs up and balance himself on the top turnbuckle! The Washington crowd cheer, as JHalc balances himself and lets go of Cletus. JHalc then leaps off the top turnbuckle and smacks Cletus the Lumberjack right in the top of the spine with a nicely done Missile Dropkick! JHalc quickly scrambles to his feet, looking to build some momentum, as Cletus tumbles to the floor across the ring. As Cletus stumbles back up, JHalc lunges forwards and down to the mat, whacking Cletus straight into the back of his left knee with a Chop Block. The 280 pounder drops down to one knee in pain, holding onto the left leg, as JHalc gets back up and tags in his partner, David Michaels.
Cedar: "And here we go. JHalc has created a potential opening here, as he tags in the World Heavyweight Champion."
Miles: "Well JHalc did the smart thing, I guess, trying to bring this large guy off his feet..."
Carnage: "Jay is like a freakin' technical genius in that ring!"
Miles: "Errrmmm...hate to burst your bubble there, big guy, but it was a Chop Block. Hardly a showcase of technical wrestling. A fuckin' monkey could do that..."
Carnage: "This fist is getting ever closer to that giant ass jaw of your's every time you open it."
Michaels gets the tag and climbs through the ropes, instantly working with JHalc on the double team. The pair pull Cletus up to both feet and whip him off against the ropes. JHalc leaps forwards, as Cletus runs back at them and hits the mat. Cletus is forced to skip over him and, as he does, Michaels launches into the air and nails him in the jaw with a beautiful Dropkick! The referee tells JHalc to get out of the ring, while Michaels hops back to his feet and celebrates the move by telling Big Jim on the apron to "SUCK IT!". Big Jim loses his temper and climbs into the ring, only for the ref to cut him off and argue with him. This allows Michaels to call JHalc straight back into the ring and the pair begin to stomp away at Celtus' hurting left knee. The crowd sarcastically cheer, as D-Volution have never been afraid to use underhand tactics during their matches. Big Jim is eventually reasoned with and he climbs back out onto the apron, all after JHalc has sneakily got back out of the ring and holds the tag rope in innocence. Michaels continues to stomp away at that knee, with particular venom, before he grabs hold of it and gives it a gave yank backwards. Michaels does it a second time, dramatically stomping the mat in the process. He then slowly bounces off the ropes and jumps into the air on return, hitting a Knee Drop to the left leg. Michaels then goes for the Lateral Press.
1... 2.... Kick out!
Cletus kicks out with ease, still, as it's going to take a lot more to keep this guy down for the three. Michaels gets back to his feet and head straight back on that leg, clubbing it with his right forearms. Celtus, getting annoyed at this, reaches up and shoves Michaels straight off - The World Champion knocked half way across the ring! Michaels stomps back in, not impressed by Cletus' strength. Cletus is back on his feet now and isn't interested in mucking about any longer. Michaels goes to grab the left leg, only for Cletus to instead hold onto Michaels head and drive it into the knee! Michaels stumbles backwards, holding his head, as Cletus hobbles after him. Cletus grabs Michaels round the throat and Tosses him across the ring, the Heavyweight Champion's spine hitting the mat hard. Michaels clambers up and lands in the corner, as Cletus charges across the ring towards him. Cletus misses with a Running Corner Splash, as Michaels pulls himself through the middle and top ropes, sitting on the middle one. He then leans back and shoots both of his feet up straight into Cletus' face aka a Pendulum Overhead Kick. Cletus moves backwards into the centre of the ring, holding his face, as Michaels climbs up onto the top turnbuckle. David Michaels then jumps off, looking for a Crossbody...but Cletus, in dramatic fashion, catches Michaels in mid air and slams in hard into the mat with a Release Spinebuster! The crowd boo, as Michaels slowly sits up struggling to take in air before flopping down onto his back. Cletus yells out in frustration, directing it towards Michaels below him.
Cedar: "And just like that, the momentum D-Volution has is derailed...and with authority too! What a Spinebuster by Cletus."
Miles: "HA! Michaels should have learnt when JHalc screwed up earlier going for high risk moves. Moron."
Carnage: "Remind, me how many World Titles have you won using Michaels' style?"
Miles: "....58."
Cedar: "Shut up, Joey."
Carnage: "Davey and Jay know exactly what they are doing...come on, David. Kick that Ass Loggers ass!"
Cletus, after finishing his yelling tirade at Michaels, stomps over to his corner and angrily tags in Big Jim. Both members of the Logging Crew then drag Michaels up to his feet, with scary ease, and whip him to the ropes. Cletus hen lifts Michaels into the air with a Flapjack, before landing him directly onto Big Jim's knee with a Facebuster! Michaels' rolls off the knee in serious pain, as the velocity was so vast, he was unable to break the fall in any capacity, taking the full brunt of it. Cletus is then told to get out of the ring, as Big Jim pushes Michaels onto his back and hooks the far leg.
1.... 2..... Shoulder up!
Michaels refuses to give up and gets his right shoulder up, before Jim gets up and begins to viciously stomps away at Michaels' head. Michaels forces himself back up and Jim continues to assault, whipping Michaels into the corner. Unlike Cletus earlier, Jim manages to connect with a Running Splash to Michaels and then simply pushes him out of the corner. Big Jim then seizes up Michaels, before charging out at full pace and nailing him with a hard Shoulder Tackle. Michaels thumps to the canvas before the momentum flips him over backwards and back onto his feet. Michaels lands on the ropes and before he can even gain his balance, Big Jim charges fowards once again and connects with a hard Cactus Clothesline, sending both men flipping over the top rope and thudding the floor below!
Cedar: "Oh my! Both men tumbling out of the ring with a wicked Clothesline. Big Jim clearly having a complete disregard for his own body, here!"
Miles: "I hope that hurt Michaels good...I still maintain that one day, a thump like that will knock some sense into the idiot!"
Carnage: "Michaels has more sense in his right butt cheek than you've ever had. He'll get this back under control. Come on sexy guy!"
Big Jim shakes off his tumble out of the ring and starts to size David up as he tries to pull himself together. Instead of waiting for his partner to get manhandled, JHalc rounds the corner of the ring to where the man stands and runs down the apron, leaping off and sending a wicked forearm into the big man's head. He stumbles backwards as Jay turns and sees David back on his feet. Big Jim raises his hand up to his face, tapping it and making sure the shot didn't cut him open. Jay motions for him to take the two of them on, but instead, he turns to the ring and slides inside. The Intercontinental Champion turns to his partner, and tells him to get back into the ring. David looks around, still dazed, but does as he is told, sliding into the ring near the corner. Jay steps up onto the apron and tags himself in with David still down on the mat in the corner. The Jack of Hearts gets a pretty solid pop from the crowd as he comes over the top rope and into the ring to take over.
Cedar: "JHalc really saving the match-up for his team right now."
Miles: "He got that --"
Carnage: "He got that what?"
Miles: "Well I was going to say "that idiot David Michaels" out of the ring, but I guess I won't say it now since you are going to be a bitch about it."
Carnage: "Watch it Miles."
Jay brings the fight right to his opponent once again, stepping forward and hitting him again with an elbow. Big Jim shakes it off without much regard for the Intercontinental Champion's offense. He sends a powerful kick forwards, doubling the champion over. Jay tries to stay on his feet, but now it is Big Jim's turn to throw and elbow, and it comes down on the back of Jay's neck and drives him down to all fours. Jim reaches down and grabs the smaller man by the back of his neck and powers him back up. He sends another clubbing blow to Jay's back and then whips him across the ring. Jay hits the ropes, without the presence of mind to hold on to stop the flurry of offense he is on the receiving end of. Instead, he turns back towards Big Jim who powers him up into the air, onto his shoulders. Jay kicks his legs, and throws the man off balance as he tries to escape. David pushes up out of the corner and gets to his feet. Before the referee can stop him, he shoves Big Jim hard, almost like he is running through the man. He falls backwards, and Jay positions his body to take the bigger man down in almost a sunset flip style pin. David crosses to the corner and tries to bar Cletus from entering the ring to break the pin but catches a stiff right hand for his efforts.
1...... 2...... Kickout!
Cedar: "Jay almost stole on there."
Miles: "I don't think I see it that way."
Milliseconds after the kickout from his partner Cletus sends a vicious boot to the head of JHalc that would have broken the count before the three. David gets up off the mat and tries to interject, but Cletus turns his attention towards him, and shoves him back into the corner. Big Jim rolls free of Jay and gets himself up to a vertical base. The two double team Michaels in the corner, wanting to eliminate the threat all together. When Cletus turns his attention to Jay, the Intercontinental Champion is barely up onto all fours. He accelerates the man's ascension by wrapping his arms around the smaller man's waist and tugging him back up. He tries to power Jay up and over his head but Jay deadweights and leans forward. He reaches out of the ropes but comes up short of finding salvation. The lumberjack releases him, and Jay shoots forward to the ropes, grabbing them and wrapping himself around the top rope. Cletus only smiles at the man grasping at straws and then charges forward. He sends his right boot up, looking for the jaw of the champion, but Jay ducks quickly, and pulls down the top rope with him. The result is Cletus taking a big step over the rope and crotching himself. The referee moves to separate the two and restore order, and Big Jim hits David with a headbutt that takes him down to his knees before turning to his partner. Jay scrambles to his feet, seeing his other opponent heading towards cutting him off. Before the referee can help the crotched man get back into the ring Jay turns on his heel and leaps up. He lands on the second rope just behind Cletus and takes hold of the top rope lifting the big man off the ground by his grapefruits with the pressure on the rope.
Miles: "That can't be comfortable."
Carnage: "Jay's crushing his big lumberjack balls."
Big Jim steps up but David reaches forward, with the referee's attention in the opposite direction and low blows the man through the legs with an uppercut. Jim falls down to his knees as David rises behind him. The referee pries Jay off the ropes so that Cletus can get down, but David is already up and picking his spot. With Jim in his sights he snaps forward with a quick side step and then lifts his right boot directly into the jaw of the cut down lumberjack with some Shattered Teeth Symphony. Jay comes steps away from the ropes, as the referee holds down the rope for Cletus to step over and back to the ring. Seeing that the legal man is down, a smile crosses Jay's face. He sprints along the ropes and leaps up to the middle rope as he comes to the corner. Pressing all his weight down he turns in the air, extending his boots and hitting Cletus in the back with a triangle dropkick that sends him out to the floor. David turns Big Jim over in the center of the ring, and is about to cover before the referee calls him off. Jay sees the man down and doesn't bother getting to his feet, instead opting to scramble forward and throws himself into a lateral press across him.
One!
Two!
Three!
DING...DING...DING!!!
Watts: "Here are your winners...and STILLLL XWA TEAG TEAM CHAMPIONSSSSS...D-VOLUTIONNNNNNN!!!"
Cedar: "Well that wasn't pretty at all."
Miles: "... but yet again these idiots get to celebrate."
Carnage: "We won so I am going to let that one slide."
Carnage stands up and throws his headset down on the table. He grabs the titles off the time keepers table and turns back towards the ring. JHalc and David are already up to their feet as the big man steps over the ropes and throws them each one of the belts and then pushes Big Jim out of the ring with his foot. The two hold up their half of the tag team titles and Carnage steps between them, raising their hand in victory as the show cuts to commercial
