DING DING DING!

The three teams involved in this huge match take a moment to collect their thoughts in their corners of the ring. We have the reigning and defending champions, The Knockout Kings, who have an unenviable task of taking on four thoroughly unstable individuals. Their representative, Riley Williamson, stands carefully measuring Cerberus and Cletus the Lumberjack up. To any other person, this situation would make them feel like a rabbit between two very hungry pit wolves. But Riley is the Hardcore Champion, and tonight he is defending his Tag Team championship in the name of the Knockout Kings. The heart of a champion beats hard and fast when given a chance to prove itself. Riley will not be intimidated by these leviathans.

|Cedar| “The rules of this match dictate that three men must be in the ring at one time. One representative from each team. The match will carry on like an ordinary Triple Threat Match, but with each man having their tag partner to switch out with. There will be no disqualifications and no count outs, meaning that we will have a winner here tonight!.”

|Miles| “Fuck. This is going to be absolute mayhem. Hey, maybe we can get in on this. You can throw your giant ass at people, and I can bring the mayhem.”

|Cedar| “Sure! You go first. Take on these three teams, one of which are the top team in the world, and two teams that will be happy to skin a man alive.”

|Cedar| “...no, I need to stretch first. You go ahead and get started.”

Cerberus and Cletus the Lumberjack lock eyes, the two big bulls looking to face off over dominance of the ring. The Hopeful and The Logging Crew have met once before in the past, with Cerberus being put through the mill by the two brutal bruisers. Cerberus slowly makes his way to the centre of the ring, with Cletus mirroring him. Williamson watches carefully, biding his time while these two titans square off in some example of alpha male dominance. Azrael looks on, and with Hope, shouts words of encouragement to Cerberus. As you can imagine, these words are not the standard “do your best!” No, instead, they are more like “do your best to rip his face off and punt it onto the ramp!” Cletus has similar, slightly more rambling advice from his wily partner, Big Jim. He stands on the middle rope, pounding the nearby turnbuckle with his fist. Cletus takes this on board, and begins to hype himself up, as Cerberus and The Lumberjack stand toe to toe. After a short time, it is Cletus who takes the first shot in the match, bringing a big paw of a hand across the masked face of the Hound of Hell. Cerberus’ head snaps to the side, as the Lumberjack begins to breathe heavily in excitement, wanting Cerberus to hit him back. The masked monster slowly turns his head back to his opponent, almost slicing through him with a cold, dead stare. The mask hides his anger at being disrespected like that, but his heaving shoulders betray him, as he allows the rage to bubble up inside. Hope screams out to Cerberus, demanding that he rips Cletus limb from limb, which prompts Cerberus to swing a right hand at the Lumberjack. Unfortunately for him, it is blocked by a thick, trunk-like arm of Cletus, who then plants Cerberus with another hard shot, this time a closed fist, which snaps his head back. The rising anticipation amongst the crowd begins to grow to almost boiling point, as they feel the atmosphere building with every tense movement.

|Cedar| “Oh my goodness, did you see that hit there? Cletus has hands like tree stumps, I’m sure.”

|Miles| “...I hope you’re proud of yourself, Cedar. No, actually, I hope you get your ass fired for that lame analogy. “Hurr hurr tree stump, hurr hurr lumberjack!” You make me sick...”

Cerberus snaps his head back towards Cletus, who is sick of waiting for the masked monster to throw a shot back at him, and charges at the monster. He doesn’t count on the fact that Cerberus was luring him into a thrusting hand right to the throat, making the logger stagger back a little bit. The Hound then throws a myriad of hard right hands towards the head of Cletus, as the Lumberjack quickly recovers from the throat thrust and begins to throw his own brutal shots, prompting the two massive men to begin brawling around the ring, like a pair of tornadoes crashing into one another, bent on destruction. The two stagger around the ring, neither man managing to gain a firm advantage in this very early stage, but trying their damndest to hurt the other as much as possible. They manage to make their way to the ropes, where Cletus manages to gain some leverage. He pushes Cerberus’ face away from him, then drops down to drive a thick shoulder into the gut of his opponent. While Cerberus is on the back foot, gasping for breath, Cletus takes the opportunity to bring down his clubbing forearms with all the grace of a baby elephant, violently clubbing away at the monster. He doesn’t enjoy his advantage for long, though, as Cerberus manages to recover just enough to push his attacker back and away from him. This allows him to meet his advancing attacker on a more level playing field, connecting with a boot to the gut, and a quick uppercut to the side of the bearded jaw of Cletus, who takes the brunt of the quick strike. He staggers back to the centre of the ring, as the Hound marches away from the ropes with a purpose. Cletus is grabbed by the back of the head and hurled towards the corner where Azrael stands. Cerberus closes in on the Pine Island Powerhouse, snapping in with a back elbow to the jaw when he gets within lunging distance. The large frame of the Hound of Hell gives him plenty of impact on the strike, and almost dislodges a couple of teeth from Cletus’ jaw. After a couple more big elbows, Cerberus steps back a couple of feet, allowing Azrael to swing a hard crossface strike across the bridge of Cletus’ nose, causing the Lumberjack to cover probably one of the few sensitive areas on his body. The referee tells Azrael to hold off until he is in the ring, but this doesn’t really get any acknowledgement. Instead, Azrael pulls Cletus’ head back and clubs him across the chest with a hard strike, before pushing him out towards a waiting Cerberus.

|Cedar| “Seems like The Hopeful have no qualms at all about fighting dirty here.”

|Miles| “Uhhh, what? You said yourself, this is a no disqualification match. They can do whatever they want to win those belts.”

Cerberus stands waiting for Cletus, and scoops him up under his arm as he comes within grabbing distance. The Hound of Hell hoists his opponent off the ground with impressive strength, before dropping him to the mat with a big sidewalk slam, shaking the ring under the sheer weight of the two men. The Prophet cackles with approval from the outside, pleased that Cerberus has the upper hand in this match. Feeling the momentum in his favour, Cerberus gets to his feet and makes his way to the ropes, bounding off them and taking to the air with a big leg drop across the face of Cletus the Lumberjack. Cletus quickly sits up, holding his face in pain from the crushing blow, but is quickly pushed back down for the cover.

|Referee| 1!

Cletus has no problem kicking out well before 2, not nearly worn down enough for the pinfall. Cerberus pushes himself to his knees and grabs Cletus by his beard, pulling him up to his feet. Cerberus scoops him up over his shoulder for a powerslam, hoisting his huge opponent onto his shoulder, but Cletus manages to fall off the back of Cerberus and to his feet on the mat. As Cerberus spins around to meet his opponent, he is clobbered by a big, brutal headbutt to the bridge of the nose, momentarily dazing the monster. This allows Cletus to start returning some attacks of his own, focusing on the midsection of his opponent with brutal hooked body blows, beating the air out of Cerberus’ lungs. He backs Cerberus back to the ropes once again, where he continues the beatings further. After a few more hard blows, he whips Cerberus across the ring and clobbers him with a double axehandle strike to the head, knocking the monster off his course, but not quite off his feet. Instead, Cletus quickly hoists Cerberus onto his shoulder and drops him across the top rope with amazing ease, almost knocking his head off his shoulders and causing him to crumble to the mat. The Beast of Bonnie Beaubears doesn’t allow his opponent any opportunity to recover from the sudden drop, as he dashes to the ropes and brings all his weight crashing on to the chest of Cerberus with a cannonball senton. The Hound of Hell’s legs flail upwards from the sudden force of 281 pounds crashing down onto his body; as Cletus gets to his feet and Cerberus puts a hand on his chest in an attempt to nurse it. In frustration, Hope slams his hands onto the apron at ringside; while Cletus turns around, shaking his arms and letting out a howl of momentum, before realizing Riley Williamson, who still hasn’t taken part in this match. The Lumberjack and The Hardcore Champion gaze into each other’s eyes, Riley putting both his hands up in front of him, expecting the Ferry Road Freight Train to attack. Almost immediately, Cletus runs back and ricochets off of the ropes, lifting a boot up with the intention of putting Williamson down; however, Riley, being the smaller man between the two begins to take advantage of his speed, ducking down the strike and running behind the Lumberjack. Cletus, hitting nothing but thin air, staggers a bit and then turns around, only to be met with a quick succession of strikes from Riley to the chest, dazing the Pine Island Powerhouse, but not being able to get him down to the mat. With his opponent stunned, Riley runs past him and bounces back off of the ropes and jumps up, tucking his opponent’s head under his arm and drops him down with a quick bulldog, dropping the big man down to the mat. Big Jim pulls at his hair a bit, infuriated, while Riley raises an arm and looks to the cheering crowd.

|Cedar| “Riley doesn’t look like he has even the slightest hint of fear in him against these four brutes”

|Miles| “It’s too early into the match to make some god damn assumptions, Cedar. Just you wait, The Knockout Kings will be torn apart”

Cletus isn’t down for long, as he gets back up to his feet as soon as Riley turns back around to face him. Riley charges at The Lumberjack, however he gets both his legs hooked up and his body is raised up, only to be dropped down back first onto the mat with a devastating spinebuster. Williamson sits up and grips his back with his spine, but gets put down by Cletus, who hooks his leg for the pin

|Referee| 1! 2!

The Hardcore Champion kicks out, but is still visibly dazed from being slammed onto the mat. Cletus, not wanting to lose control, grabs Williamson by his nape and pulls him up to a vertical base. Before the mad lumberjack can do anything else, he’s suddenly subjected to a sudden double axe handle strike across his back from the Hound of Hell, who has finally gotten up to his feet. Cletus outstretches his arms, elbows bent, and drops to his knees; releasing Riley who drops to the floor in the process. Cerberus quickly grabs Cletus by the hair and slams his head off the mat as if it were a basketball, causing the Lumberjack to let out a pained groan, followed by several muffled expletives as he cradles his face in his arms. The Hound of Hell grabs two handfuls of his opponent's long, scraggly hair and drags him up to his feet, then throws him through the middle rope and to the floor on the outside, causing him to land in a crash of human body parts. The Lumberjack arches his back and rolls over to his side from the impact, as Cerberus follows, stepping over the top rope and dropping down to the ground on his feet. The Pine Island Powerhouse slowly tries to get back to his feet, both of his hands on the barricade while he’s on a knee. Cerberus doesn’t let him, though, as he starts dropping forearm blows over and over onto Cletus’ back, wearing the crazed lumberjack down as he drops back onto his belly. With his opponent down on the ground, Cerberus looks to Robert Hope, looking for some guidance; but Hope is only looking to his side, and when Cerberus looks in the same direction, he’s met with a suicide diving Riley Williamson through the second rope, colliding with The Hound of Hell and dropping him down onto the floor, now a pile of flesh. With both monsters down, Riley slowly gets to his feet with a rather troubled expression on his face. While he has put both men down, he still has to put one of them in the ring to go for the cover. With his hands on his waist, he stares at the two beasts, down on the mat, trying to come up with some solution. Suddenly, Riley feels his hand grabbed, and he turns around to see Hope, who irish whips him onto the steel post face first, then dropping down to the ground with his hands on his face. Hope then proceeds to stomp the life out of The Hardcore Champion violently, each shot wearing him down as his chest gets stomped on, then his arm. Hope proceeds to grab Riley by his arm and head and pulls him up to his feet, followed by rolling him below the bottom rope. Hope then walks up to his Hound, giving some words of erm..“encouragement” to try and get him to his feet.

|Hope| You’re going to tear this fucker limb from limb, else I’ll do the same to you, get up!

|Cedar| “Oh come on, don’t tell me this whole match is gonna be The Hopeful playing unfairly”

|Miles| “Could you stop bitching, Ted? It’s no disqualification! Go eat a burger or something to calm you down”

These words of abuse seem to work, as The Hound of Hell gets up to his feet, using the apron for support. Cerberus climbs up onto the apron, and over the top rope, all while looking at the battered Williamson. The Hound of Hell walks up to Riley and wraps both his hands around his opponent’s neck, then lifts him up to his feet and tosses him onto the nearest turnbuckle in one swift motion. Riley bends back from the impact, but Cerberus doesn’t waste any time and starts ramming his shoulder onto Riley’s midsection repeatedly. The Hardcore Champion attempts to cover his abdominal area, but The Hound of Hell keeps on coming. A few more battering ram-like strikes, Cerberus stops, and Williamson drops down to the floor like a lifeless cadaver. Cerberus then drops down and hooks Riley’s leg for the pin...

|Referee| 1! 2!

Big Jim quickly runs in, and stomps on Cerberus’ back to break the cover. This causes The Hound of Hell to quickly get to his feet and stare down at Big Jim, who is much smaller than him. The Black Rapids Brute shows no signs of intimidation, however, and suddenly drops to his knees and uppercuts Cerberus’ package. Robert Hope’s instrument of ruin starts to jump up and down, hands on his groin area, before dropping to his side and onto the ground in pain. Big Jim quickly gets back to his corner, while Cletus slides into the ring and starts stomping and kicking The Hound of Hell, making him flail around, each shot further damaging the seemingly invincible Cerberus. The Pine Island Powerhouse then runs up to the ropes and launches back, leaping and dropping an elbow onto the Hound of Hell’s throat, causing him to grab it and flail his legs, rolling around. Cletus catches his breath for a moment, before grabbing Cerberus by his long messy hair. The Lumberjack drags the bent over Hound towards his corner, and tags Big Jim in.

|Referee| *clapping his hands together* “Tag! The Logging Crew! Big Jim in the match.”

The Twisted Timber Slayer gets into the ring through the top and middle rope, then takes one of Cerberus’ hands. The Logging Crew then irish whips The Hound of Hell towards the ropes, who bounces back only to be struck by two savage double axe handle strike, Cerberus dropping down to the mat like an oak tree being fell. Cletus gets back to his corner, while his partner goes to work on Cerberus. As the Hound of Hell attempts to regain his bearings after the clubbing blows to his back. Big Jim, the more technically gifted of his team, goes off on a completely different plan of attack. As Cerberus attempts to push himself off the mat, Jim forward rolls, in the process hooking one of Cerberus’ arms, and catches him in a beautiful grounded hammerlock, keeping the big man on the ground. Big Jim pushes all his weight behind the hold, using his superior leverage to his advantage, as a frustrated Cerberus swings his free arm across to attempt some manner of an escape. He doesn’t manage to get far, however, as Big Jim bridges over him and applies even more pressure, using even more leverage, to keep him face down on the mat. The Hound of Hell lets out a pained groan, as he feels his tendons pop under the pressure of the hold. Riley Williamson, who has managed to recover from his earlier beating, is back on the scene. He takes full advantage of Cerberus’ prone position, grabbing one of his ankles and wrenching it with a brutal looking Ankle Lock, which gets a warm reception from the crowd. Cerberus kicks his legs furiously, now having to deal with the pain in his arm, and now his ankle getting the once over by Williamson. It doesn’t take long for Big Jim to notice Riley’s plan of attack, and after careful thought, he decides to let go of his hold and launch himself for Riley, swinging a big right hand towards his face.

|Cedar| “Now, this is interesting. Instead of focusing on the largest man in the match, Big Jim is now turning his attention to Williamson, despite the two of them being able to wear Cerberus down enough to take him out of the equation somewhat.”

|Miles| “I guess a bumpkin like Big Jim just doesn’t trust a guy who looks like he spends most of his mornings filing his toenails. I bet Jim knows that with a drop of a hat, Riley could easily just kick him in the back of the head. So he’s taking matters into his own hands and breaking a piece of Williamson’s face off.”

Big Jim clocks Williamson in the face, which causes him to release the hold on Cerberus, and allow the monster to roll out of the ring to recover.

|Azrael|”Hey ref, REF!”

The referee looks to Azrael, who then taps on Cerberus’ Shoulder before he falls out of the ring

|Referee| *clapping his hands together* “Tag! Hopeful. Cerberus, out you go. Azrael in the match.”

Riley staggers back to the ropes in a daze, but manages to just say connect with a kick to the knee of Big Jim to quell any advance. Riley uses the split second he has to compose himself and go at Jim with all he has, charging through him with a high impact running clothesline. The Twisted Timber Slayer drops to the mat quickly, but it isn’t long until he’s back to his feet again, and taking another clothesline from a man who has got to be exhausted by now. Riley pants heavily, but quickly gets his head back into the game, as he is forced to duck a hard right hand from Big Jim. As Jim spins around, Riley hooks his arms around Jim’s waist and attempts to throw him with a German Suplex. The Perverse Pulp Peeler manages to think on his feet, and flips out of the move and lands in a standing position behind his opponent. Williamson quickly gets back to his feet, but is dropped with a clothesline himself. Riley takes a moment longer to get back to his feet, after having fought through the majority of this match so far. Jim pushes him back towards the ropes and whips him across the ring, then dropping him with a big Inverted Atomic Drop, pushing the air out of Riley’s lungs. Jim follows up quickly by scooping Riley up on his shoulders and levelling him with a big Samoan Drop, crushing Riley’s ribs with great velocity. Big Jim lets out a primal roar as he hops back to his feet, and gives a wily glare out to the crowd, as if he’s a rabid dog about to take someone down. Jim tugs at his beard with two hands, and lets out a short, satisfied growl, before turning back to his downed opponent and dragging him up by his head. The Black Rapids Brute proceeds to pull The Hardcore Champion back to his feet, followed by kicking him in the gut, causing his opponent to bend over. Jim tucks Riley’s head under his arm and falls back, planting Williamson’s skull into the mat with a vicious DDT. Riley holds his head, barely knowing where he is, while Jim drops down and hooks Ri’s leg for the pin.

|Referee| 1! 2!

The pin is broken by a rushing Azrael, who kicks The Twisted Timber Slayer’s side, knocking him off of The Hardcore Champion. Jim holds his side, attempting to lessen the pain, but Azrael stomps on his opponent’s arm, then grabs a handful of his hair, pulling him up to a vertical base. The Masked Man grabs Jim’s arm and irish whips him towards the ropes, making his opponent run back at him, only for The Perverse Pulp Peeler to meet a jumping knee to the face from Azrael. Big Jim drops down to the ground, holding onto his face and groaning in pain. Azrael grins, looking down onto the logger, then onto Jared in the corner. Jared starts to shake the ropes in anger, wanting to be tagged into this match. The Masked Man proceeds to put his hand onto the back of Jim’s neck, followed by running up to the nearest turnbuckle and throwing him onto the ringpost, shoulder first. Big Jim utters several expletives, rubbing his shoulder from the pain, but before he can get out from being in between the top and middle rope, The Masked Man runs up to him and starts clubbing his back with hammer fists. The Black Rapids Brute utters more expletives, groaning in pain from each strike brought down onto his spine. Azrael follows it up by stepping back a bit, then running at his opponent, striking him with a punt kick on his behind. Jim jerks from the pain of the strike, stretching his arms to try and grab his ass. Looking to take Jim out of the equation, Azrael grabs The Perverse Pulp Peeler by his hair and pulls him away from the ring post, then tosses him to the through the top and middle rope onto the outside, Jim crashing to the floor, back first, causing Jim to let out a groan of pain with a hand on his back. With Jim out of it, The Masked Man puts his attention back to Williamson, who is now on one knee. Upon seeing this, Azrael charges at Riley and steps onto his knee, then drills The Hardcore Champion’s face with it with a Shining Wizard. Riley drops to the mat like a hit and run victim, while Azrael quickly gets back up to his feet. The Masked Man looks to the outside, seeing Jim now on one knee, and quickly slides out of the ring through the bottom rope, followed by coming up to the mad Lumberjack and pushing him against the barricade. With Big Jim pinned down, Azrael proceeds to drop bombs onto The Perverse Pulp Peeler’s skull, each shot dropping the logger down onto one knee. The Masked man ends it up with chewing on the Black Rapids Brute’s forehead, then shoving his head down to the ground. As Jim tends to his injuries, Azrael slides back into the ring and runs up to the unconscious Hardcore Champion. Azrael stomps on Riley’s back, making The Hardcore Champion jerk from the force, then The Masked Man lifts him up to a vertical base, wrapping one arm around Riley’s waist and holding one of Riley’s hands with the other. With his opponent in his arms, Azrael proceeds to skip around the ring, dragging Riley with him in a sick and twisted waltz, his dance partner barely awake. The Masked Man goes near The Knockout Kings corner, prompting Jared to try and tag himself into the match, but Azrael pulls Riley back at the last second, staring at Jared, laughing. This infuriates The Piece of Eden more, as he starts slamming his hand onto the turnbuckle. Azrael decides to do another lap around the ring, Riley in hand, and stops right before Jared’s corner. The Masked Man releases Riley, who falls back, still unmoving. Before The Hardcore Champion can hit the mat, however, Azrael grabs one of Riley’s hands, having him hang a few inches from the mat, then pulls Riley towards him with one arm outstretched, hitting him with a varied Here’s Johnny Clothesline from Hell. Riley drops to the ground quickly, while Azrael spins around in glee. The crowd boo the twisted display loudly, but this doesn’t really seem to phase Azrael in any way, as he turns back to his downed opponent, who is still holding his throat from the clothesline.

|Miles| “Yeah, that’s how you do it! I love The Hopeful. They just can’t get enough of hurting people.”

The Masked Man takes a moment to showboat to the crowd a little bit, before slowly walking over to Williamson. This brief moment of showmanship from Azrael seems to cost him, however, as he is met by a lunging punch to the stomach by the Hardcore Champion. Then another. Then a third one. A fourth! Williamson then begins to throw quick strikes to the midsection of his opponent, with every shot causing Azrael to jerk back a little bit. Eventually, Riley hops up and hits a beautiful Front Dropkick, knocking his opponent back and onto a knee, holding his gut and chest. Riley looks over to Jared and begins to shuffle himself across the mat, before pushing himself up and lunging for his partner...but getting waylaid in the process with a hard Shoulder Block, knocking him off course, and prompting Azrael to howl with laughter.

|Cedar| “Now, what’s the meaning of this? Earlier, Azrael called Jared out. Now, he’s trying to do his best to avoid him getting into the ring.”

|Miles| “Mind games, Cedar. Azrael is making him frustrated, making him wait, making him get anxious for his partner. Solid strategy.”

Azrael grabs Williamson’s leg and drags him around the ring, like a cat playing with a mouse. Unlike a mouse, though, Williamson will not run away. While shaking the Shoulder Block off, he is still trying to make his way to his partner, Jared. Williamson works his way up to one foot, where he hops to turn and face Azrael, and connects with a well executed Enzuigiri, right to the head of Azrael, prompting the crowd to explode in appreciation. The Masked Man falls to the side, holding his head as if someone had just set off a bomb inside it. Williamson pounds the mat with his fist, before crawling closer and closer to Jared, his hand reaching out and waving manically. Riley gets closer and closer, and with one final lunge…

|Referee| *clapping his hands together* “Tag! Knockout Kings. Riley, out. Jared in the match.”

Azrael looks behind him, shocked and still stunned from the kick, as Jared leaps into the ring and bounds across the ring towards his rival. Before The Hypocrite Hunter can land a strike, however, Big Jim suddenly slides into the ring, going behind Azrael. He swats Azrael with a hard Double Axe Handle to the back of the head, causing him to spill out of the ring with great velocity. Azrael holds onto his back in pain, as he bounces off the floor on the outside, and rolls into the railing at ringside. Jared, infuriated, immediately makes a B-line towards his adversary, however Big Jim goes in between them. Jared attempts to sidestep and go past Big Jim, apparently forgetting that the Perverse Pulp Peeler is his opponent, but Jim simply blocks him from doing so. Jared squares up with Big Jim, trying to explain that he has some business to settle with Azrael, but Jim doesn’t feel all that accommodating to his desires. Instead, the Twisted Timber Slayer swings a right hand to his head, but finds it blocked by a fresh Jerusalem, who fires off a right of his own. Jared begins trading blows with Big Jim, knowing that he won’t simply be able to ignore him and go after his rival. After a short exchange, Jerusalem manages to gain the advantage, throwing more strikes than Big Jim can block, and backing him off into the ropes.

|Cedar| “Here comes an extremely fired up Jared Jerusalem! The co-holder of the Tag Titles has had a lot of time to stand and watch the action, but now, he’s coming in to the aid of his partner, pushing the team onward as they edge ever closer to retaining their titles.”

The Self-Proclaimed Saviour of XWA whips Jim across the ring, awaiting his return with great anticipation. When Big Jim comes within reaching distance, Jared leaps up and over his opponent, landing on his feet and sending Jim into the ropes yet again. This time, Jim returns to Jared, and is deftly dropped with a Flying Back Elbow, sending Jim to the mat. The Twisted Timber Slayer winces from the sharp pain in his jaw, but gets back to his feet nonetheless, only to be taken out with a quick Dropkick to the chest, knocking the grizzly grappler to the mat again. Jared then kips up to his feet, just in time to see Cletus the Lumberjack step through the ropes in order to assist his team mate. With there being no disqualifications, the referee can only ask the bearded brute to leave, which unsurprisingly goes unheeded. Instead, Cletus charges at Jerusalem with a Big Boot, finding nothing but air, as Jared rolls under the massive foot hurtling towards him. The Pine Island Powerhouse snaps around with bad intentions in his head for Jared, but can’t quite avoid the Dropkick that rocks him on his feet a little bit. Knowing that an upright Cletus is a dangerous Cletus, Jared darts across the ring to the ropes to gain some momentum. On his return, he has to block a hard haymaker that probably would have taken his face off, and use the ropes to propel himself back to Cletus, hitting him with a crisp Springboard Cross Body, which succeeds in knocking the big man to the floor.

|Cedar| “Wow, would you look at that? Jared has come into this match and set the place alight. He might not have managed to get to Azrael, but he’s sure as hell ready for a fight.”

|Miles| “That’s all well and good, if he can avoid having his skull fucking pancaked by Cletus when he gets a hold of him. Have you ever read Of Mice and Men? Cletus is Lenny, and Jared is that little mouse or whatever the fuck it was...”

Double J hops up to his feet, closely followed by Cletus, who doesn’t look happy. The Lumberjack swings a big Clothesline in his direction, only just missing as Jared ducks once more. This time, however, Jared is met with a brutal looking Double Knee Facebreaker from Big Jim, halting him immediately in his tracks. Jared snaps back from the move and staggers into Cletus, who hooks him into a thunderous Full Nelson Slam from behind, almost folding him perfectly in two. The Logging Crew look down at their handy work, until Cletus notices Cerberus about to step into the ring, presumably to face off once more. With grace unbefitting a man his size, Cletus quickly runs to the ropes and boots the one that Cerberus happens to be stepping over, sending it right into his groin and causing the monster to topple into a pile outside the ring.

|Miles| “It’s a bad night to be that man’s testicles, Cedar.”

Cletus returns his attention to Jerusalem, who is now back on his feet, albeit nursing his neck and the top of his shoulders. Big Jim motions to Cletus for a double team move by making his way to the top rope and calling for the Backbreaker. Cletus palms Jared’s face and smashes a hard Forearm Strike into his head, knocking the man formerly known as SuicideViper to a knee. The Ferry Road Freight Train then aggressively pulls Jared to his feet again, and hooks him under an arm, awaiting for Jim’s word. With a confirmatory nod, Cletus drops Jared into the Backbreaker, as Jim crashes down on his chest with a Double Axe Handle, almost snapping the co-champion in half!

|Miles| “...and it’s a bad day to be that man’s spine, apparently.”

|Cedar| “Good grief, they almost broke him in half!”

|Miles| “He’s already short, but they’re wanting to make him bite sized.”

|Cedar| “...he’s not actually that sh-”

|Miles| “Here we go. I say “bite sized” and suddenly you’re all ears. Typical.”

The crowd give a sympathetic groan for Jared, who simply flops to the floor, holding his back and kicking his legs. The Logging Crew share a satisfied glance between them, but just as Cletus attempts to pick his opponent up again, he’s stopped by Big Jim, who seems to have other plans. Jim stomps Jared a couple times, then lifts him up to his feet. Jim whips Jared off the ropes, and gets behind Cletus, looking for the Flapjack into Double Knee Facebuster. However, just as Cletus lifts his opponent up into the Flapjack, he is attacked by Cerberus, who has recovered from the dirty move from before and nearly takes the Lumberjack’s head off with a Running Big Boot, causing him to drop Jared to the mat. The Twisted Timber Slayer, Big Jim, runs at Cerberus in reply, but finds himself noosed by both of Cerberus’ large hands, and tossed through the top and middle rope with aggression. The referee tries desperately to regain control of the match, demanding that Cerberus gets out of the ring. Just as Cerberus turns to face the referee, he is blind sided with a steel chair, swung by Riley Williamson, who slid in with two chairs just moments ago. He kicks the second chair over to his partner, who is using the ropes to get to his feet. The Hound of Hell staggers around a little bit, the shot to the back of his head really throwing his co-ordination off. He stumbles, but remains on his feet. After a few moments, he regains his balance, and turns back to Williamson with cold, dead eyes. Riley matches his gaze and prepares his chair for the monster’s advance, when...WHACK! Cerberus receives another shot to the back by a battered Jerusalem, which sends a jolt of pain coursing through his massive frame. Cerberus’ back arches, which leaves him open to another THWACK! of a steel chair to his head from Williamson. Cerberus bends over double, holding his head and groaning in tremendous pain.

|Cedar| “OH MY GOD! Cerberus is being DECIMATED by those chairs!”

|Hope| “CERBERUS! CERBERUS! Tear these idiots apart! Come on, dammit!”

Cerberus drops to his knees, as Hope begins to shake Azrael into the match and demand that he gets up and helps his team mate. The Knockout Kings share a glance, then a quick smile, before sandwiching the monster with the chairs, rendering him a mass of quivering, pained human being. Cerberus drops to the mat and slowly rolls out of the ring, unable to mount any kind of reply to the attack. Riley smacks the chair off the mat a couple of times, before holding it above his head for the fans in the arena to respond to him with warm cheers of encouragement. Jared uses his chair to rest against for a moment, before picking it up again and let it hang next to his side. The Knockout Kings take a moment to survey the landscape, with the wreckage of people behind them. Well, apart from Cletus and Big Jim. Cletus dashes into the ring towards Jared, but receives a chair shot to the gut, which fells him like a tree. Then, as Riley swings the chair above his head to bring it down onto the back of Cletus, he receives a face full of steel, courtesy of Big Jim. Jim leaves his feet and fires the chair into Williamson’s face with a Mule Kick. Riley drops to the floor, rolling around holding his face from the meeting. Big Jim casts his eyes over to Jared, who is now swinging a chair at him. At the last second, Jim manages to roll away from the strike, but can’t escape a follow up strike to the back, causing him to arch his back and let out a cry of sheer agony. Big Jim slowly drops onto his stomach, and rolls to his back, with pain etched all over his face.

|Miles| “Someone get these weapons away from these mad men! They’re going to end the careers of these guys!”

|Cedar| “The referee has lost complete control of this match. The no DQ rule is being used to full effect by the participants of this match. This is mayhem.”

Jared turns around, and is suddenly picked up and slammed into Riley’s chair with a Spinebuster from Cletus, who is back on his feet and mad as a box full of hornets. The wounded, bearded brute fights through the pain in his gut to dish out some punishment to his attacker from a short time ago, and causes Jared to bridge his body up off the chair in immense pain. The Beast of Beaubears looks over to his running mate, who is just starting to stir and hang on to the ropes, in an attempt to get to his feet. Cletus marches over to Jim and hoists him up by his wifebeater, and shakes him into focus, before pulling him towards their victim. The two circle their opponent, as if he were a rabbit caught in a snare. They carefully watch him shift uncomfortably on the steel chair, trying to get himself up to his feet. As Jared rolls onto his stomach and pushes himself up, his arms are kicked out from under him by both of the Logging Crew. The crowd boo as Jared is subjected to constant pushes and nudges, taunting him slightly. After a while, Cletus flips Jared over and locks him into a brutal looking Figure Four Leg Lock. As Jared waves his arms in discomfort and pain, Big Jim mercilessly pulls him into a Triangle Chokehold, putting Jared Jerusalem through the Mill. He screams out in pain, as the referee tries to get Cletus out of the ring. Cletus ignores the calls of the referee, instead opting to rack Jared Jerusalem with pain.

|Cedar| “Oh man, come on! This isn’t right!”

|Miles| “You said it yourself! You said it yourself that this is no disqualification. Those were the words that came out of your mouth! How is this not right?”

|Cedar| “Because they’re not honouring the code of the tag team match! One man of the team in the ring at one time!”

|Miles| “No DQ, Ted. What are they not honouring? What rules? There’s no punishment for breaking rules, because it’s NO DQ, Ted. There’s nothing wrong with this.”

|Cedar| “...even then...there should be some sort of professional understanding...”

|Miles| “WHY? They’ve got a strategy, they’re executing it perfectly. You’d do the same, and you know it!”

Jared calls out into the vast area above him, where the lights beat down on him and put him through even more torture. The Logging Crew pull and wrench at him ruthlessly, and he finds his free arm reaching out to his side, in a feeble attempt to reach the ropes, under the immense pressure of the two brutes trying to tear him limb from limb. Both members of the Logging Crew jeer and taunt Jared, wearing down his sapping resolve, draining his energy as he feels the victory slipping away from his grasp, as it feels just as far and impossible as the ropes at this moment. Nevertheless, there is something inside him that keeps pushing him on. Something that won’t allow his hand to drop. Cletus pushes himself up with his arms, and Big Jim tightens his grip around Jared’s neck and arm. They want these titles, and they want to make one of the co-champions tap for it. Even if the referee makes the legal man cover him after, they want to stretch Jared like he was made of rubber, and they want him to suffer for that title. Just as the win seems within their grasp, something strange happens. From seemingly the depths of Hell crawls Azrael with his chain lock weapon. He brings the rusty weapon above his head and into the chest of Big Jim, causing him to loosen the hold. The Masked Man swings the chain at Cletus, who takes it square on the chin, and releases the Figure Four Leg Lock. Once more, Azrael swings the chain at Big Jim, who has now released the hold, but can’t quite avoid a second shot to his chest. Through some strange happening, Jared Jerusalem’s biggest rival has inadvertently saved the man who he despises so much. Azrael has released Jared from the binds of these two men, built like man-sized tanks. Jerusalem won’t question it, and just makes sure to roll out of the ring to recover from the brutal attack he was subjected to moments ago. Big Jim gets to his feet first, holding his chest. He stumbles briefly, trying to catch his breath, something that becomes even more difficult as Cerberus returns. Favouring his bare arm after the savage beating he received from the chairs, he uses his gloved hand and compresses the throat of Big Jim, before lifting him into the air and slamming him one handed with the Chokeslam!

|Cedar| “Now the two members of The Hopeful are in the ring! This is bedlam. The referee has lost control of this match in it’s entirety, and there’s nothing he can do to stop this madness.”

|Miles| “And I find myself asking a question that I ask many groups of ladies I meet on a regular basis: who the Hell is legal?!”

|Cedar| “Oh Jesus… Azrael, Jared Jerusalem and Big Jim are the legal men. Not that it matters at this point, because everyone is in the damn ring. Well, apart from-”

As the commentary team were talking, Cerberus made his way to the top rope, measuring his supposed nemesis of this match, Cletus the Lumberjack, who is busy trying to see if he’s still got all of his teeth left at the moment. On unsteady feet, Cletus sways a little, holding his jaw. As he is bent over, he is at the perfect level for-

|Cedar| “Riley’s back! He’s going for...”

The missing part of the puzzle, Riley Williamson, snakes back into the ring and drops a dazed Cletus with a Stun of Death! The big man’s head snaps back viciously, and he drops to his back, then out of the ring off the apron. The crowd explode with joy at the sudden return of Williamson to the match, but their surprise is short lived.

|Miles| “Oh! Look out below, Hell is about to rain down!”

As Riley returns to his feet and turns around, he is suddenly taken out by a flying monster, as Cerberus changes his target and opts to take out Riley instead. Riley hits the mat and bounces a little, and flips over onto his stomach, as if he was turned inside out by the sheer force of the Clothesline. With Hope barking orders for him to end the match, and Azrael getting some shots in on Big Jim, Cerberus draws his thumb across his throat, signalling for the Damned Driver. The crowd, who are very much into the electric atmosphere of the match, begin a “THIS IS AWESOME!” chant, not even registering what is about to happen to Williamson. There is a struggle between Big Jim and Azrael, as the wounded Lumberjack starts to fight back against the Masked Man, sensing that the match might be able to go in The Hopeful’s favour. Cerberus, unaware that Jim is becoming a handful, focuses all his attention on Riley, bringing him up to his feet and scooping him on his shoulder. Williamson kicks his legs in an attempt to free himself, which seems to give Cerberus some trouble. The Hound of Hell grips Riley’s waist, trying to pull him down into the Damned Driver, rendering him unable to defend himself from Big Jim. The Twisted Timber Slayer managed to slam his head into the face of Azrael, and get himself in front of a now vulnerable Cerberus. He pulls something from his pocket, and with ease, he throws a Fireball right into the face of Cerberus!

|Miles| “Whoa! That’s not cool!”

The Hound of Hell drops Riley and covers his eyes in a mix of shock, fear and pain, as he feels the flames dry his eyeballs after coming into contact with his mask. Though the flames didn’t touch his skin, the psychological effect of the move is apparent. Hope howls at Cerberus, beside himself with a mix of anger and concern, as he sees Jared enter the ring with his trademark fire extinguisher. Big Jim turns to meet Jared, but is instead met with the red metal of the weapon, dropping him to the floor quickly. Jim rolls out of the ring, possibly unconscious from the shot. Jared scrambles with the extinguisher, glancing at Cerberus repeatedly. He knows he has a very short window of time to capitalise on this, and that extra tension causes him to fumble the weapon. Just as Cerberus regains his composure, Jared points the hose at him, and he finds himself disorientated yet again, this time getting a face full of foam from the weapon that Jared is wielding.

|Miles| “...THAT’S NOT COOL, EITHER! YOU’RE NOT HELPING, JARED!”

|Cedar| “I don’t think he wants to. Look at this!”

In the confusion, Cerberus staggers forward, clawing at his eyes through his mask. He can’t get his fingers in to rub the foam out of his eyes, so is an easy target for an Unprettier from Jared, who gets wicked air and brings the masked monster down to the mat with a crash. Cerberus emits a low, tortured groan from the combination of the fire extinguisher and the Unprettier, which takes him out of the action. Seeing his monster fall, Hope begins to look nervous, then glances down to the ring apron. After a moment of silent deliberation, he fishes under the ring and retrieves his trusty club, resting it on the floor beside him.

Azrael shakes off his earlier beating from Big Jim, just in time to lock eyes with Jerusalem from across the ring. The crowd begin to buzz with excitement at finally seeing these two continue their altercation from earlier in the night, after the close calls they had earlier in this match. Jerusalem is aching and beaten, as is Azrael, but that seems to melt away as the two lock gazes and slowly circle the ring. Jared motions to Azrael to bring it on, and Hope screams at Azrael to destroy Jared. Time seems to stop for a moment, as the two slowly make their way to the centre of the ring. They are both breathing heavily, their shoulders rising and falling like waves against a pier in a storm.

|Cedar| “We could be seeing a replay from earlier in the night right now, folks. This chaotic match may be about to get ugly. Even uglier than it has been already.”

Suddenly, Riley calls for Jared to duck from behind Double J’s back. Jared doesn’t even think about it, just opting to drop his head and shoulders, allowing Riley to fire a Superkick towards Azrael’s head. Shockingly, Azrael manages to catch Williamson’s kick with seconds to spare. Williamson, Jerusalem and even Azrael look surprised at the quick reflexes of The Masked Man. For a moment, Azrael wonders what the Hell to do now, but his question is answered as he sees Jerusalem stand up and reach for him. He takes Riley’s foot and swings it into the face of Jared, knocking him back and dazing him. Riley spins and drops to the mat, losing his balance on the pivoting foot. He looks utterly shocked that he inadvertently kicked his partner in the head.

|Cedar| “Oh my God! Riley was just forced to kick his own partner in the head!”

|Miles| “No no, you saw the look in his eyes there. He meant that.”

The Masked Man Azrael looks back at Williamson, who has gotten back to his feet, and is still in shock from what just happened. Azrael forces him to snap out of that, though, as he lunges at Williamson with aggression. Showing he can be just as quick as Azrael, though, Williamson manages to duck his advances, and scoop his attacker up into an F-5! Riley struggles with Azrael’s weight, but only just manages to maintain balance. Hope screams with fear, knowing that all it takes is for Riley to hit this and drag Jared over Azrael, and that would be it. Over. The Hopeful would lose, and he would punish them.  So he takes matters into his own hands. With club in hand, he rolls into the ring and charges at Riley, who has his back to him. With one hard shot, he digs the spiked end of the club into the back of Williamson, causing him to drop Azrael, and only just saving the match. Williamson rolls around in agony on the floor, cursing and balling his fists tightly, trying to block out the tremendous pain in his back dealt to him by The Prophet. Hope lets out a sigh of relief, confident that he has just saved Azrael from defeat, and takes a moment to let out a callous, evil chuckle, as he slowly steps away from the scene of the crime. Azrael drops to his knees, and breathes a long, thankful sigh of relief.

|Cedar| “Oh come on now. Again?!”

|Miles| “Hail to the King, baby!”

The Hopeful may not be out of the woods yet, though. Jared, still dazed, but not feeling the same effects as he would have felt from a clean shot with the Superkick, darts over to Hope and hits him with a brutal G.F.Y, which sends a stream of blood spewing from Hope’s mouth! The impact knocks Hope out cold, and the force is even so bad that Hope’s OWN...blood...is on the face of Jared…

|Cedar| “DAMMIT! Not this again! DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT!”

Ecstasy from the crowd suddenly turns to bitter, stinging realisation. That wasn’t blood that Jared drew. It was the mist that Hope has been using so much to gain unfair advantages, helping him net unfair victories for his cohorts. As Jared hit the G.F.Y, Hope released it right into the eyes of Double J. Even though his target was spot on, his choice of targeting Hope may come back to haunt him. Sure enough, Azrael closes in behind him. Azrael puts Jared’s arm around his neck. Jared is hoisted up and rotated, then dropped into a devastating Omega Driver! Jared is dropped on his head at a sickening angle, and looks like he’s out cold. Azrael rolls him over groggily, desperately trying to capitalise on the move. The referee looks beside himself with the sheer mayhem from this match, and has no option but to count.

|Referee| “1! 2! 3!”

[S. 22 | MAIN EVENT] The Logging Crew vs. The Hopeful (Cerberus and Azrael) vs. The Knockout Kings | XWA Tag Team Titles Empty
PostSubject: Re: [S. 22 | MAIN EVENT] The Logging Crew vs. The Hopeful (Cerberus and Azrael) vs. The Knockout Kings | XWA Tag Team Titles   [S. 22 | MAIN EVENT] The Logging Crew vs. The Hopeful (Cerberus and Azrael) vs. The Knockout Kings | XWA Tag Team Titles EmptySat Jul 12, 2014 6:39 pm

Cletus faces off against Jared & Cerebus and right away realizes he’s in trouble. The Hound of Hell finds a willing partner, for the momenmt, in Double J, as the two share a nod of equal purpose. This is but a prelude to a pair of blows that send the lumberman reeling toward the ropes. A double Irish whip sends the pine island powerhouse to the far side and into a double hip toss upon his returning. The fans cheer the combined effort and Jerusalem mugs for the crowd. He turns in time to get a boot to the gut from his erstwhile accomplice. A front facelock from the 300-pounder is followed by the draping of the champ’s near arm over the dog’s shoulder. At this point Cerebus stomps down hard and suplexes the champion stiffly; a textbook snap suplex. Turning his attention to the stirring logger, Robert Hope's protégée delivers a knee drop and double stomp on Cletus before making the tag.

Well, Azrael's faith was well-placed. Cerberus leaves the ring in total control and gets the fresh man in there.

We’ve seen how well he plays, but games will only take you so far. Eventually you just have to thrust yourself in there.

We are still talking about the match, right?

Azrael enters the ring and proceeds to hit the ropes and slash down upon the prone form of Cletus. Air rushes from the woodsman’s lungs and a loud groan erupts from within him.  Thinking quickly, Jared moves to break the cover, but the burly Beaubearian simply heaves his Californian adversary into the air. The Self Proclaimed Savior of XWA catches Azrael and, after a moment’s hesitation, falls backward, throwing Azrael over his head down to the mat back-first.  Jared attempts to float over into another fallaway slam, but Cletus rushes from behind and drops down to connect with his shoulder into the back of one of the champion's knees. The brute of bonnie Beaubears now locks his opponent’s leg behind the knee and then traps the other leg over the already-locked foot. He then uses his other foot to press against his foe’s knee; an Indian Deathlock best known as The Log Jam. Yet, Riley isn’t going to stand for that and stampedes into the ring, which brings in Big Jim in turn, as well as Cerebus who won’t be left out.

Six bodies in there now, unfortunately two of them are the Logging Crew.

A pier six brawl here and the referee has to get some control fast or else this one will be over.

No one wants to see that. I’ll put up with the smell, just let’s see how this one turns out.

The ensuing donnybrook is swiftly broken up by the official. Meanwhile Cerebus has wisely used his time to rally his partner and, once order is restored, Azrael lights into the opposition. He grabs a distracted Cletus around their waist, lifts him up, and falls backwards while bridging, slamming the axman down to the mat shoulder and upper back first; an outstanding German suplex. Azrael keeps the waistlock and continues bridging for a pinning combination, but yields only a two. Undaunted, the Hopeful's standard bearer stands behind his opponent, who he positions stomach first to the mat. He places one foot down just above each of the birler's knees and bends his legs up, hooking them around his own knees; at this point the middlewight grasps both of his heavier opponent's wrists, following a slap to the back, and falls backwards while lifting Cletus off the ground in an impressive feat of strength. From a seated position, Azrael wrenches the surfboard while the shrill and agony-filled cries of the lumberjack reverberate across the arena. Unbeknownst to the fan favourite, the wounded Jared Jerusalem has made the tag and Riley Williamson enters the ring. Before Cletus can succumb to the pain, Riley plants a superkick into the back of Kade’s head.

Ooo, and that’s why you can’t treat this like a regular tag team match.

These guys don’t have experience.

Following an unsuccessful pin attempt, Riley returns to the crumpled form of Cletus. Bringing his man to his feet, he fires him into the buckle, charges in afterward and, hooking both hands around his opponent's head, he places his feet on the waist of the Canadian. At this point, the 210-pounder shifts his weight so to fall backwards and forces Cletus to fall forward, only to have Riley push up with his legs. The islander flips forwards and onto his back. The monkey flip leaves Riley in control and he hooks each of Azrael' legs then falls backwards to slingshot the opponent into the corner. Unfortunately for him, it’s the Logging Crew corner and Big Jim manages to tag himself in.

Jim makes a swift move there, getting into the action.

I always said he was the smarter of those two idiots, he’s got a weird sense about him.

You bet he does, but sense or not, is Riley Williamson ever in trouble now.

Big Jim bears down on his erstwhile foe with a series of punches. Riley fires back a few of his own, but turns to find himself trapped in a bearhug courtesy of the river forks rambler. Cletus squeezes for all he’s worth and Big Jim jogs into the ropes and delivers a clothesline, as the Logging Crew does their modified tribute to the Anvil & Hitman. Scorning a pin, and with Jared still trying to find his feet on the apron, the Crew stand over the prone form of Riley and beckoning him to rise. As he does, the signature double helping of double axe handles is served and the champion summarily discarded in the corner. Seeing an opportunity, the Ferry Road freight train, eagerly applauded by the twisted timber slayer, makes to end the match with a cannonball senton. Proving what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, Cerebus reaches long and enters the contest. His tag does not break the rhythm of Cletus’ stride and he flips forward 180°, his back impacting on Riley’s chest and head. Big Jim spies the interloper and is quick to the ready. While the referee attempts to remove a confused Cletus, the perverse pulp peeler charges only to have the giant drop, placing one foot at the front of Jim's ankle and the other in the back of the calf. The drop toe hold abruptly introduces Jim’s face to the mat. As Jim clamours to regain his footing, Cerebus plants a sleeper on him. The Black Rapids brawler fights to retain consciousness, but the weight of his opponent, and the general chaos of the last few moments, seem to have sapped all of his resistance. He slowly begins to wilt, as the 335 pounder bears down, hoping to end the match up before Riley can regain his bearings and intercede.  Perhaps in recognition of the flimsiness of that hope, the dog releases the hold and resumes the offensive. A crashing blow from sends Riley reeling backward, and Cerebus slaps a headlock on the dazed Big Jim, which he grinds in mercilessly. Jim tries an atomic drop but can budge the Hell Hound. Cerebus seems mildly amused by this, but enjoy it long as he turns his body into a running tackle by the man from Beaubears. Driven backward, he is taken to the ropes where Cletus proceeds to choke him. The referee steps in with a DQ count, but the hold is broken by Jared, who spins the logger around, ducks a wild roundhouse, and scoops the big man’s legs to put him on his back.

The official is losing control once again.

He’s pretty lousy at his job, but what do you expect for the money he makes?

As the ref restores order, Riley looks down with pleasure on Big Jim, and invites the recently mobile Cerebus to join him in the performance of a double hamstring pull. The move leaves Jim stretched out and sore, but the teamwork is short-lived. The champ manages a single-leg trip, and looks to wrap up the burly boy from the deep deep south. A few kicks with his free leg manages to free Cerebus from the submissive prospect and sends the titlist stumbling to get his bearings, with a thought to review the situation. The Hound seems slightly affronted by the betrayal and, seeing Jim back on his feet, invites him to repay their common enemy. The moment that the lumberjack looks away to set himself to task, Cerebus jumps him ferociously, driving a knee-lift to the stomach and a powerslam on the Canadian. Then, he smashes his elbow into Riley’s face. Cerebus, now totally in control, looks to his corner, and receives an approving nod, before returning to the matter at hand. He whips Riley into the ropes and ensures that the man with the strap falls directly into the path of a powerful lariat that flips him 180 degrees in the air. Adding insult to injury, the hellion rakes the man’s eyes with his boot. As Riley flops about, the big man drapes the still prone body of Big Jim over the second rope and makes to execute a leapfrog body guillotine, but the logger rolls clear and Cerberus is twisted in the ropes and in pain. As Big Jim makes the tag to Cletus, Riley sees his attacker caught and proceeds to work him over.

Cerebus had the run of this match, and now he’s on the receiving end. It shows you why they call it tag wrestling. He needed to tag out while he was still in control. It’s always better to be tagging while you’re still a little fresh than when you’re on your last legs.

I hate to say it, but the Logging Crew is smart that way.

The Hopeful is showing me that they’re built for show; but when you’re in the ring with two teams like this, you had better be able to go.

Cletus surveys the situation, before striking out against the trapped Cerebus. For a rare, and very brief time, the Logging Crew and Knockout Kings are united, but soon they realize their error and begin to trade blows themselves, allowing the ignored giant to slink into his corner and make the tag. In the midst of battle, Cletus charges, but Riley drops down and the brawny Beaubearian stomps over him to the far ropes. The man from Beaubears bounces off and finds Riley running perpendicular to him in a criss-cross. Both men know where this is heading and after a few bounces and ducks they both go for their respective clotheslines, trying to out-step their opponent. The force of their collision picks up both men’s feet and the crash to the canvas once again.  Azrael now swaggers into the ring and executes a photographic rolling thunder on the motionless logger. He follows up with a Boston Crab that brings Riley back to reality as he struggles and strains to free himself, or get to the ropes. At length, Azrael relinquishes the hold, sensing Cletus is on the rise once more, and not wishing to leave himself exposed

That’s what I was talking about. Azrael has got the passion I like to see.

Azrael is showing you why he’s an asset. The cynics can say he’s been out of action for a long while, but it’s control of this kind, over two guys, that shows everyone here in the building, and at home in TV-land, that he’s no fluke.

Azrael turns and pushes back from his burly aggressor, dipping to deliver a drop toe hold that sends Cletus’ face to the canvas. He mounts the ropes and waits patiently as his prey turns to face a cross body. Cletus manages to throw a stiff shot to the gut of the flying man, but is still dazed. Riley swoops in with a roll up on the Canadian, but the woodsman has enough in the tank to kick out at two. The tag champ shrugs his shoulders and makes the tag to Jared. The crowd goes silent as the English half of the tag team champions enters the fray, his eyes locking onto Cletus. A smirk envelops the lumberjack’s battle-hardened face. Jerusalem throws his fist hard into the jaw of the logger, sending him staggering. Cletus replies with a right hand of his own and the two trade punches, each strike harder than the last. Jared earns the upper hand, however, ducking a haymaker and replying with a picture perfect dropkick to the sternum that knocks down the larger man. With a head of steam, Jared begins to rally the crowd and prepares for a high-impact manoeuvre. Unfortunately for the champ, he runs too close to Big Jim, who throws his paw onto the small of Jared's back, flooring the unsuspecting sailor. Not one to sit idly by, Riley Williamson leaps into the squared circle and sprints full speed ahead, bodychecking Jim off the ring apron and to the concrete below. Happy with his work, Riley begins to walk back to his corner, only for his facial regions to meet the right foot of Azrael, who shoots his leg upwards and connects with Williamson's chin, an audible crunch the result of the Super Kick.

The Kings and the Crew may have unfinished business, but they can't turn their backs on Azrael and Cerebus for even a second.

Definitely, these two teams had better focus up, or else this Hopeful team is going to just wait until they wear one another out.

As Riley rolls out of the ring with his last vestige of consciousness to join the unresponsive Jim on the outside, Azrael sets his sights on his two opponents, noticing that they've both fought to a knee. Azrael hauls himself onto the top rope and as Jared and Cletus reach their feet at the same moment, Azrael leaps into the air, shifting his entire body weight towards the duo. This time the crossbody connects and despite the combined efforts of the lumberjack and the SuicideViper, all three men crumple in a heap on the canvas. Having more about him than his two opponents, Azrael regains his ring presence and rolls onto Cletus. The man in the zebra stripes, noticing the pinfall attempt, can only slap his hand to the mat twice. Unperturbed, Azrael tries the same ploy with Jared, but like the logger before him, the  Piece of Eden escapes an early shower. Azrael crawls over to his corner and tags in Cerebus, who slowly enters the squared circle, knowing full well that he's in control of proceedings. Showing immense strength, Cerebus grabs both Jared and Cletus by the throat, preparing himself for a gargantuan double chokeslam. However, with survival instincts kicking in at the same precise moment, both logger and champion plant their boots into the midriff of the giant, doubling him over. With a glance at each other, both men begrudgingly drape their arms over the neck of the hellion and lift him skywards, hoisting Cerebus all the way over their heads and onto his back.

Would you believe that? A show of teamwork from these enemies. And now Cerebus is in trouble.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

As Cerebus grabs his back in pain, Bill and Cletus stare holes through each other once more, before Cletus turns to face Cerebus and begins to stomp every exposed region of the giant. Taking this as an invitation to do the same, Jared joins in on the beating, mounting Cerebus and throwing fists onto the bridge of his nose. Once the giant looks to be flittering between sensitivity and senselessness, the Hypocrite Hunter dismounts and throws his hands up to the fans, earning another round of cheers. Unfortunately, the hard-hitting woodsman feels no such kinship with the crowd and turns those cheers into one long, drawn out jeer, coming up behind Jared and kicking him in between the nether regions. As the Englishman collapses to the mat with the air sucked out of his lungs, Cletus takes a brief moment to laugh sadistically at the plight of his foes, before crassly scratching his underbrush. He points a finger toward the opposition, it wavering back and forth as he determines which shall feel his wrath next. Cletus settles upon the champion, plucking Jared J from the mat and raising him to his feet. A right hook rattles the lumberjack, but he stays in control, returning fire and softening his foe. He spins Jared around and slips his hands in under the pit of his arms, wrapping them around the back of his head and locking in the full nelson. The referee investigates, questioning the resolve of the champion, who resists the temptation to throw in the towel. Cletus is none too satisfied with the answer and cranks up the pressure, tucking Jared's chin into his collarbone. He slings him side to side, torquing his limbs to amp it up further. Writhing in pain, Jerusalem anchors his boots and begins to pull against his aggressor, towing him toward the reprieve of his partner. The Canadian struggles with him, but starts to lose ground as Riley stretches his hand in as far as he can to help.

Come on, Jared, you can do it!!

Oh yeah Ted, nothing unbiased there, where's your journalistic integrity?

Jared's arm waves in the air, desperately seeking the tag, but Cletus at last reigns him in, pulling him back a step. Unknown to him, he is also stepping into the reach of the Hound of Hell, who mimics the hold before him on the lumbering logger. In a feat of strength, Erik shoots back, uprooting the timber trimmer and, with him, Jared Jerusalem. The trio crash to the canvas with a horrendous sound, each gingerly rolling away from the impact to nurse their bodies. Cerebus is among the injured, himself caught under the weight and pancaked. He forces himself to stand, however, knowing that control on the contest is his for the taking. Jared is the first up and gets rewarded with a stiff rap of knuckles against his temples, backing him against the ropes. His stunned appearance makes the Hopeful member move on, jumping up before bringing his weight down onto his soles across the pectorals of the Pine Pulverizer. The Englishman, slips out of the ropes and grabs the top, looking to make a dramatic reentry. He springs up, slapping his boots onto it, but the rough palm of the Black Rapids Brute slaps across his calf and knocks away his support. As he tumbles back and down to ringside, Big Jim slips in through the ropes, Cerberus turning just in time to share a stare.

Big Jim getting in on the action here, but staring down Cerberus.

This guy is too dumb to be afraid.

Which one are you talking about?

Does it matter?

Erik steps around the Beaubears Barbarian and directs a punch at his partner, but it's batted aside before Jim shows him how it is done, blasting him across the jaw and staggering him. A follow up moves him into the empty corner and Riley rushes toward them, looking to get some payback for his partner, but finding only a knuckle sandwich of his own as the Twisted Timber Slayer maintains control. He pounds across the spine of the doubled over Cerebus, who stumbles toward Azrael, but finds his path obscured as the other half of thje Logging Crew returns to a vertical base. He treats Cerberus to a fist of his own, steering him back into the grasp of Big Jim, who bends him forth and wraps his arm around his head before planting him into the mat. With the only other legal man down, the Logging Crew begin to further tear him down to size with a series of vicious stomps, tendering the technician.  Just as they are enjoying themselves, Jared interrupts, his hand clapping across the shoulder of Big Jim and reversing their roles once more. To Azrael's chagrin, Cletus has also wandered too far out and Riley gives him a slap of his own, reentering the contest. As the referee corrals the Canadians, the Kings look over the weakened and hurt Cerebus, then back to one another. Without either having to say a word, they bend down and pull him up by the arms. Barely able to stand from the assault, they shove him into the corner of Azrael, allowing him to tag in. He slips in between the ropes and raises his fists in front of his face, his eyes darting from one of his opponents to the other until Jared backs off in the sake of sportsmanship, allowing the remaining duo to square off.  Azrael offers a Greco-roman knuckle lock and Riley obliges. A quick leg trip puts Williamson on his back for a pinning combination, but he's up fast and pushes the opposition to a vertical base with his legs before delivering a hurricanrana. Following through, he hooks the Azrael's legs for a pin attempt of his own, but is reversed into a sunset flip, which he scampers out of. The two men link up again and Azrael goes for a monkey flip. Riley hangs on to the hands of the masked man and switches into a body scissors, regaining control. Loosening up, he drags the opposition to his feet, and executes a tilt-a-whirl head scissor takeover. Both men nip up at the same moment and face each other and the masses applaud their efforts.

A real display of athletic genius; these two guys are something else.

This is what the pursuit of the top spot will do. These six guys aren’t going to hold anything back.

A Riley steps back, offering his partner a chance to prove his metal against Robert Hope's acolyte, Cerberus thunders into the ring, not willing to let this piecemeal double team continue a moment longer.  He casts aside the intervening official and sets to work evening the odds.  The official lands in the Logging Crew corner and recieves a mauling at the hands of the Miramichi Men, who ham-handedly attempt to set him to rights.  Meanwhile the Hopeful and the Knockout Kings are brawling across the ring, and soon Cerberus has sent the champs to the outside single-handedly.  As Azrael looks to give chase, he's stopped short by two pairs of pitch-stained paws.  A clubbing forearm across his back allows them to slow things down a moment.  Big Jim lays in a few kicks and grabs hold of one his opponent's arms, wraps his legs around Azrael's throat and arm in a figure four and squeezes. Meanwhile, Cletus slaps on the figure four and the hellion is being put through the mill.  On the outside, the tag champions battle on as Cerberus' lust for combat is satiated at the expense of his partner writing in pain within the squared circle.  A submission is not far in the offing, and the arbiter, still at a loss after having been abused earlier and likely glad to be rid of this contest, awards the bout to the Crew.

That isn't right!  They weren't legal!

Who's paying attention to who's legal Teddy?  It's a damn war out there, and it looks to me like they won....

The ref is still halfway to dream street, he shouldn't be officiating.

Take it up with the championship committee, but it looks to me like these hillbilly hosers pulled out a squeaker tonight.

I hate doing this but, after a few hours of trying to write out this match, I keep getting stuck. For the past week, me and French have tried writing out this match but with School already starting with French and him getting piled up with work, and me being not able due to work. I have decided for us to No-Show. It really sucks that I have to do this but right now isn't really the best time for us. Goodluck between The Hopeful and Logging Crew. who ever wins this, really deserves the Straps Smile
