Who else got this? Haven't played yet, just looking at depth charts and stuff (/Ian) but about to play it for the first time tonight. But I gotta say, Madden killed it with the soundtrack this year. A lot of good hip hop / rap that I'm digging.

How do you skip all these cut scenes in this long shot story mode?

I shit you not I'm still going through cut scenes. It's not even cut scenes I guess... just story scene after story scene like a movie with occasional little mini-games and tasks. (still kinda fun tho)

Like I just finally got to the NFL draft (and more cutscenes coming). I don't know if the story varies or not in this..... but I went undrafted.

My boy in this went to the Pats & earlier I picked that my favorite team is the Jets. And nooow the Jets & Pats happened to both offer me a deal as an UDFA.

I chose the Pats to play with my boy Colt Cruise.

Man not the fucking Patriots. I regret that decision now.

Apparently THAT was the entire mode. There's no actual games to play and you don't even play in the NFL at all. It's just hours of cutscenes & a few mini challenges to complete as basically shortened, simulated high school & "longshot league" games.

FUCK I'm mad. I didn't know THIS was the whole damn story mode.

Madden

Man I LOVE Beast Mode in this game. And I just missed playing as Lynch in a Madden game.

This game is actually a lot better from improving a bunch of little things. The running is so much better & smoother and the juke moves / trucking / etc. isn't complete garbage anymore. For the "simulation" gameplay style at least, the game actually has a realistic flow & feel to it.

Although maybe I'm just saying this because I still haven't lost yet after somewhere between 5-10 games played.

Ok nvm this game is bullshit. I didn't exit a game after I won (a game in which I ran for 200+ yards with Lynch and just balled out in a good fun game) and then when I returned and exited the game, Madden crashed. Now I have to replay the damn game.

Ok I won by more points and did almost as well with Lynch so I ain't even mad.

They managed to block a FG on me in both games though.

I'm debating whether I wanna pay full price for it now or wait a few months to get it, tbh. I kinda wanna get it, but I can just play any Madden game from the past 4 years and be fine.

You won't be fine... the mechanics in those Madden games suck.

Ok so you can play as the story mode character (Devin Wade) in a regular franchise after you finish the story mode. So I'm gonna do that.

Turned instant starter off too so imma be sitting on the bench behind Brady (and probably even Garoppolo) for a while.
