After Greg Samuel had already gone backstage, in the aftermath of the Opening Segment of tonight's show, silence overhauls the arena in a mysterious way. After a while, the noise of the audience quiets down as minutes go by, everyone currently in the show wondering what's gonna happen next as no one seems to come out. Right at this moment, the lights begin to fade.. A set of white fireworks shoot up the sky, as the spotlight focuses on the very beginning of the top of the entrance aisle. A golden eagle is highlighted, sort of like Chris Jericho's blazer at his return to the Royal Rumble, The ever-familiar yet currently unusual lyrics of TRUSTcompany's Downfall break through the speakers, accompanied by a blizzard of cheers, as a certain Egyptian giant makes his return to the XWA.
A face that wasn't seen in a long time by the XWA Faithful comes out to their - pleasant - surprise, as a short-haired, lighter E.G. Deal makes his way out of the back, a huge smirk drawn upon his face which expresses his obvious happiness of seeing these fans cheer for him. "The Golden Eagle", covered in a black jacket with a golden eagle on the back of it, makes his way towards the ring, a microphone in his hand. He jumps up and enters the ring, waiting for the cheers to die down before he starts talking.
"I'm home!"
The cheesy, yet enthusiastic statement riles the audience up into a shower of cheers.
"I never thought I would be back, after proving to myself how much of a failure I am."
The buzzing cheers suddenly die down, after that last, surprising statement by Deal.
"Two years ago, precisely at Vendetta number fifty-seven, I beat arguably the best wrestler to ever step foot inside an XWA ring - Caleb Spires."
The fans start to roar after hearing the name of their beloved legend.
"I pinned Caleb's shoulders to the mat, and I defeated him, in the middle of the ring where everybody could see it. Then two weeks later, in Endure 2013 I was put in a Triple Threat match against him and Evan Flare, a match that if I had won I could've become World Champion that night.. And I couldn't do it. I couldn't beat Caleb Spires again. I failed, and it was only the beginning of a series of failures. About five months ago, I made my return to the XWA. I beat Michael Astin in a buried alive match, and then I went on to win number of matches, and was eventually put in a Number One Contender's match at Redemption. Another Triple Threat match, this time against James Best and Azrael. I PROMISED myself that I would do it this time, I promised myself that I wouldn't fail.. And I failed. I couldn't win the most important match of my entire career. I started feeling badly about myself, until I quit XWA. I... Quit."
"I decided to leave XWA and just focus on other things in my life, I was a quitter. I became my worst enemy, my life was crashing down, but thankfully I realized something was wrong. As a matter of fact, a lot of things were wrong to my life. Leaving XWA was wrong. Becoming a quitter was really wrong. Deciding to stop the thing I loved the most just because I couldn't succeed at a couple of matches was wrong. But the biggest wrong in my life was not winning the XWA Championship. And now that I'm back, I will make sure that I will never fail again, and when the opportunity arises.. I will right the biggest wrong."
The intense promo gets cut to a halt as "The Destiny Holder" drops the mic, as he starts to prepare for his match, up next!
