The following video was delivered to XWA Headquarters late on Sunday night. The origin and purpose behind it's arrival is unknown. It contains an encounter between "The Prophet" Robert Hope and "The Dragon Tamer" Kanimaniac. Last week, it was revealed that these two men were in fact related in some way, but no further information was given. This video is recorded from outside the window of a room backstage at Vendetta 105. The video begins part way through a conversation between Robert Hope and Kanimaniac. They sit at a table in a well lit room. The shoulder of a large man can be seen to the left corner of the video, but any other feature is obscured by the wall which he is leaning against.

|KANIMANIAC "-elieve me, I don't wish to he here any more than you do. If I had-"

|HOPE| "Well why are you wasting my time with this shit? Why did you have to get him involved? Why couldn't you just-"

|UNNAMED MAN| "Him? Who is this 'him' you're talking about, Robbie? Have you got a mouse in your pocket?"

|HOPE| "I...sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean any dis-"

|UNNAMED MAN| "Shut up. This isn't about me. Now, we're going to sit and discuss this like civilised people, and you're going to treat your brother with respect while I'm here."

|HOPE| "He's not even my brother! He doesn't have my blood in his veins! This guy is just some freak who happens to have been adopted by my Dad."

Kanimaniac, who is unmasked with his back to the camera (conveniently) is seen visibly clenching his fists. He slowly pushes himself back into his chair, and Hope slyly grins at his discomfort. The unknown man interjects.

|UNNAMED MAN| "Need I remind you that I adopted you, too, Robbie? Remember, when I found you trying to break into my car? Look...I understand any resentment you might have to Chris, but at the end of the day, I'm a father to both of you. Adopted or not."

|HOPE| "Resentment isn't the goddamn word for it! You don't know how it feels to be shelved by some intruder-"

|UNNAMEDMAN| "Chris needed my help just as much as you did. He was here without a family too, you know?"

|HOPE| "So he needed your help so much that you always took him back to Japan with you? All those times, when I was left to fight for myself. AGAIN!"

|UNNAMED MAN| "You never showed any interest in learning how to wrestle right. You didn't care for respect or anything. You just wanted to fight people. That, and the fact that you were always out and about up to goodness knows what. I hardly ever saw you after you stormed out after meeting Chris. Like you were trying to punish me for betraying you. But you forget what this is all about. I took you both in and tried to save you from destruction. To give you some sort of foundation where you could come back to if you needed to. But, at the same time, I knew I had to let you both find your feet. So I let you travel your own road and form your own destiny. But now...now, you've taken a path that's beset on every side by destruction, and all I see you doing is spiralling into this madness. Robbie, I don't want to see you chewed up and spit out by this world, and I don't want to see you dead. But that's not the only reason I'm here. Where is-"

Hope shifts forward and raises a finger into the air.

|HOPE| "So, let's see if I have this straight. You can take people in and give them something to live for, but I can't. I can't share my view with other people, give them hope, give them something to live and fight for, give the outcasts and the freaks someone who will take them in and help them. You can do that, but I can't? Where is the fairness in that?"

|KANIMANIAC "You hanged my best friend and sat under him as he bled. You've tortured and tormented anyone who took objection to what you did. You claimed to be the real Kanimaniac, while you knew fine well I was out training people in Japan, where I couldn't defend myself. Then, when you caught wind of me looking for you, you ran. Like a coward."

Hope's head snaps to Kanimaniac and his fist pounds the table. He sears with anger, but Kanimaniac simply returns his gaze, unmoved by Hope's rage.

|HOPE| "I...am not...a coward. I have my reasons for what I did, and I stand by them to the death. You'll see me cold and dead in the ground before I ever apologise for anything I've done. Everything that I have done has been rooted in purpose. It has been for the good of a greater cause."

|KANIMANIAC "A greater cause. Like abusing Anth-"

|HOPE| "Uh, no no no. No abuse. You don't-"

|UNNAMED MAN| "Abusing...who?"

Hope slowly looks over to the unknown man, seemingly a little sheepish. Kanimaniac shifts in his chair uncomfortably.

|UNNAMED MAN| "Robbie. What name was Chris about to say. Don't you dare tell me you had something to do with this mess. Not you."

The unnamed man walks further into the shot, revealing himself to be a tall, well built man with grey hair and a long, grey beard (Jinpachi Mishima). Hope cowers away from him a little bit.

|UNKNOWN MAN| "Robbie. Tell me that you had nothing to do with Anthony's disappearance. Tell me that you're not responsible for this. I...I need you to tell me that you didn't take Anthony away from me."

|HOPE| "I knew what was best for him. You had no idea."

The man lunges across the table and grabs Hope by the throat and pushes him to the ground. The man follows Hope as he tumbles from his chair. The camera struggles to catch the images of the man throttling his adopted son on the floor.

|UNKNOWN MAN| "What did you do? What did you do to him? Tell me what you did!"

Kanimaniac quickly jumps over the table and wrestles his enraged adopted father away from Hope. Robert quickly scurries into the corner of the room like a frightened child.

|UNKNOWN MAN| "What did you do?!"

|HOPE| "I freed him! I saved him from you. I saved him from the people who wanted to take him away. I stopped them! I...I saved him. I did more than you could have ever hoped to do."

|UNKNOWN MAN| "You poisoned his mind! He's a good boy, with a good heart, and you poisoned him! You took over his life, and you took him away from me! You took him away when he needed his father most!"

|HOPE| "YOU DIDN'T EVEN TRY WITH HIM! Your own flesh and blood. The only remnant of your sad, lonely life left, and you never even gave him the time of the day! I saw it myself. After the accident, you couldn't even look at him. You didn't see your son anymore, you didn't see Anthony. All you saw was a Devil in Anthony's skin, and I know...I KNOW that that's true, because I saw it in your eyes. All you saw was a murderer, and he knew it too. He felt it every day. He felt it like a knife in his heart, and THAT'S why I helped him. I took him under my wing, and I showed him that he wasn't alone. I showed him what it was like to have a brother, and not one that saunters into his life and steals his father away. One that cares! One that doesn't care about his mistakes, one that offered him a chance to escape from his old life and his old mistakes and become something else."

The man attempts to break free of Kanimaniac, but The Dragon Tamer digs his heels into the ground, only just managing to hold him back.

|UNKNOWN MAN| "I love that boy more than anything in this world. Don't you tell me how I view my own flesh and blood, you scumbag. I knew he made a mistake, just like I know you have made mistakes. And still, despite everything in me, I still see you both as my sons. But I swear, if you have harmed Anthony, I'll end your pathetic existence right now."

Hope's chest begins to heave in and out. He shifts himself in the corner and pulls his knees to his chest. His adopted father softens a little bit as he sees Robert begin to almost break down.

|HOPE| "I just wanted to help him, Dad. I saw his pain, I saw it in his eyes every day. He couldn't live with himself, and it tore holes in my soul every day. I don't care for many people, but trust me when I say this, I cared for Anthony. I cared more than anyone ever could."

Hope's eyes widen in shock, realising what he's done. His father's shoulders drop and a look of pure terror spreads across his face. Kanimaniac drops his arms to his sides and snaps his head to Hope. The unnamed man struggles to talk.

|UNKNOWN MAN| "...cared? What... Cared? Robbie... What?"

The room falls deathly silent, as Hope pulls a mask out from his jacket pocket and clutches it tightly. It's the mask of Cerberus. He holds it to his face and gently weeps into it.

|HOPE| "I'm sorry, Anthony. I'm so, so sorry."

The camera beeps as a low battery warning appears down to the right hand corner. The dysfunctional family in the room is reduced to stunned silence, as none of them want to truly believe what is about to be said. Fighting back tears, Hope breaks the silence.

|HOPE| "...he's dead."

The video stops there.

Neglected sons are sociopaths. I admit I dont really pay too much mind to your work, but this was very good. Robert Hope makes me sad. Great job!
