Following the 9/2 episode of Monday Night Raw, Daniel Bryan was helped to the back by a team of referees and doctors.

CM Punk came out for a no disqualification handicap match, followed by his opponents, Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman. Axel hit the Second City Saint with a low blow, as Heyman retreated to the back. However, Punk recovered, hit the GTS on Axel and picked up the win.

After the match, Punk chased Paul Heyman to the back. He then came back to the ring and attacked Curtis Axel with a kendo stick, followed by a steel chair to send the Iowa crowd home happy. This has been the same segment WWE has been running at several live events in the past week, in preparation for their match at WWE Night of Champions next Sunday.
