After the match, the show cuts to the locker room, where Xtreme Icon is sitting in a chair, a beer in his hand watching the show. Wearing Blue Jeans, blue and white Nike Sneakers, an Oregon State hat and a Oregon State Football Jersey. When Jennifer Light walks in and sits down next to him. He looks over, and remembers he has a match next.
Light: Enjoying the show Icon?
Icon: I always do, takes my mind off me racking my brain trying to find the guy who ran me down.
Light: Well have you had any new leads?
Icon: Besides the one I got from David Michaels a while back? Nope, but he did send me a text with the list of names of guys he heard making jokes about running a guy down to get his spot. But the funny thing is, I have yet to see any of these guys. Pretty convenient if you ask me.
Light: We have King of Xtreme and Xtrememania all coming up. All PPVS you have had history with, what is your mindset knowing you are coming off several losses with XWAs biggest PPVs coming up?
Icon: Do you remember when the King of Xtreme Tournament came up in 2011? People said Icon won’t win, he won’t make it out of the first round? Well Dante Cross bitched out and didn’t show up. On top of the fact that Headhunter and myself had been tag champs for how long at that point? Even though I won the Intercontinental title the year before? Then I get into the second round, same thing, Icon won’t win, but I did, then I went to war with T.K. in a House of Fun match and got the win again. Then the big Xtrememania 2 rematch with Justin Angel, who before had cost the Xtreme Hunters the Tag Belts, after 11 months of dominating the Tag Division. We all saw what happened there, I made him say I Quit, and won the tournament. People are doubting me now, but I’m not letting some slump make me take my ball and go home.
Light: Well lets talk about your match, Nicholas Carson, newcomer to XWA, but an intimidating force.
Icon: Story of my career huh? Facing off with guys bigger than me, taller, stronger, more power in their moves. Here’s the thing, I love it, I love it when guys can hit me harder, it drives me to strike back that much harder. It’s easy to beat down a guy half your size, you make a statement beating a guy who’s larger than you.
?????: You have some attitude Icon
Someone stands up from the otherside of the locker room, it Dante Cross.
Icon: Dante Cross, This is your what? 6th stint in XWA?
Dante: Real funny, you can stop giving me crap about being in and out of this company, you went MIA for months last year. Besides when was the last time you won a match?
Icon: First off, I've been on ablosing streak, so fucking what?! I don't let my losses drag me down. Second, I got run down in the parking lot like a dog, but you wouldn’t know anything about that would you?
Dante: Why would I? Like I would stopp that low to take someone out.
Icon: You do remember that you bitched out of a KOX match against me a few years ago right? Only a coward would run someone down.
Dante: I was doing you a favor! You and Headhunter had a tag title defense, I was keeping you fresh!
Icon: Keep making bullshit up Cross, If I find out you were the guy who ran me down, there is no corner on the earth I won’t be able to find you to exact revenge.
Cross: Well guess what I had nothing to do with it, why the hell would I waste time running your pathetic as over?
Icon: So you’re saying you would run someone down to get their spot?
Dante: So I can go back to jerking curtains? Hell no, even if I decided to take out the top guy, it would be in the ring, not the parking lot.
Icon: You are so full of shit…..
?????: Hey Icon, did you forget about someone?
Icon looks to the door, and his opponent walks in, Nicholas Carson and imposing 6 foot 7 280+ pounds of wrecking machine.
Dante: Hey we were talking here, this doesn’t concern you.
Carson: Buzz off Cross, because I can snap you in half if I wanted to.
Dante stares at him as he walks over
Dante: Why should I? You are the rookie, there’s a pecking order, and I’m well above you!
Carson looks at him and shoves him out of the way, Dante stumbles back and trips over a bench. He stands up and walks out without saying anything, obviously embarrassed.
Carson: Good riddance
Light: Well Nicholas, can I get a word with you about your match?
Carson: Let me ask Icon something here, why do you get enjoyment from getting beaten down by a man much larger than you?
Icon: I guess call it a strange way of having a fire lit under my ass. You need to remember I’m not the toughest man in XWA for nothing, I didn’t win KOX a few years back by running away from fights, and I sure as hell didn’t get into the Hall of Fame by sitting at home drinking beer all day and not setting foot in a gym.
Carson: If you hyping up this flying bitch slap of yours that won’t knock me out.
Icon: You mean this Right Fist coming straight outta the 406? I’ve knocked guys flat out in training using this. Keep that in mind.
Carson: Yeah but those are 185 pound weakling little MMA fighters, I’m much bigger than those guys.
Icon: The bigger they are, the harder they fall, before I go get ready and tape up these fists, let me leave you with one thought. I’m not some guy off the street looking to make a name for himself. I’m not only the toughest guy in this company, not only do I have multiple ways to beat a man, not only am I one of the most popular superstars in XWA but I am your toughest test. You beat me, you area made man. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Icon walks off and out of the room.
