Match 1
C5 Ion vs. Dylan Breywell vs. Xtreme Icon
Grader: Razor

Verdict: Dylan Breywell. C5 Ion, your spots were good, the match itself wasn't bad, what ruined it was your description and transition. Dude, you can't write "He pins him. C5 breaks it up and then kicks him before hitting a springboard crossbody." You need to describe it. "He pins him. C5 manages to break it up before the ref can count. As he gets to his feet, C5 quickly kicks him in the ribs and doubles him over. C5 then runs to the ropes, jumps up, and bounces back, landing across the opponent with a springboard crossbody." you can't just write an outline of your match. You both had fairly good matches in terms of spots, but you needa work on that. Besides that, nothing too bad. I can't complain. Dylan, your spots were great. Though you could use a bit better description as well, your overall match was fine.

Match 2
EG Deal vs. Drake Dysfunction
Feedback: CB

Nate, I'm going to be honest with you. I think I know what happened here. I'm going to assume that you didn't think that this match would be beneficial to you if you were to show. I've been in this same spot before, and I regret it. Out of respect to your opponent, please show up. You might get that old reputation again. Wink wink! As for Abdel, I respect that you showed with something decent. I know that you stopped writing after determining that Nate would no-show, but knowing that you actually were writing a good match beforehand makes me happy. As far as your match, I really like your description, and I have for a long time. Abdel, I guarantee that if you had written a good match against me in the KoX Semi-Finals, you would have been in the Main Event of Xtrememania against Chilly. You can definitely tell when you rushed it. There was a weird transition where your description went from being good to bad. For example “He flips backwards, to land stomach-down". Your final paragraph screams of being rushed. But all of this is understandable because you knew that Nate wouldn't show. Abdel you have a lot of potential, and I think that you know that. I could really see you being pushed. Just keep applying yourself into every match, even the meaningless ones. If you push yourself, you can put yourself ahead of the pack.

Match 3
Riley Williamson vs. Rellim Strife
Feedback: Ian

I guess I got some bad info when taking over. Rellim shouldn't have been booked. Riley obviously knew this and posted a half-assed match. I don't blame him. I apologize for the error.

Match 4
Big Jim vs. JHalc
Feedback: Ian

I was ready to sing your praises, but the end kinda ruined it for me. I don't think you made much of an effort to keep the ending in character, as I thought the blow was a poor choice. David Michaels' involvement really didn't make a lot of sense to begin with, though. I'd advise you spend more time focusing on getting characters right, because you seem to hit everything else effectively.

Match 5
Rufus Qabazard vs. Hitman Alex
Feedback: CB

iLike, I'm not going to lie. You are a great eFedder and you could be in a league with Chilly if you put in more of an effort. Honestly, it seemed that you stopped caring right before you lost your World Title. I'm not a psychiatrist so I won't get into things, but if you need a break then take one. Everyone needs a breather once in a while. If you are going to no-show, then take a break. It's better for the eFed. On to Rufus, thank you for posting a match man. I'm not going to talk about if you had started before yesterday, but thank you. I appreciate that you wrote an actual match and you didn't just bury Hitman Alex, like I probably would have done. Haha. It seemed rushed, but that's understandable. I'm not going to stroke your ego for this whole grading though, as there were some problems with it. I'm getting the feeling that you started writing this match on Saturday, something that I would have done. Rufus, you have potential. If you start ahead of time and give yourself time to write, you can flourish in XWA. I know what I'm talking about, don't be like me. If it means writing a paragraph a day, do it. It isn't that difficult. You can do it, man. Just believe in yourself and get some confidence. Oh, keep on doing your commentary. I like it, and I enjoy your coding. Commentary is an aspect that is really lost, it makes your match seem big and can also build towards upcoming feuds without your character doing anything in the match. Rufus, if you take my advice (which you should) you could challenge for a Title.

Match 6
Wolverina vs. Candy Kane
Grader: Ian

Apologizes to CB who wrote more in his feedback than I think Razor did in his whole match. There was a deadline dispute and we'll be counting Wolverina's match.

Candy Kane: That's uh... Interesting.

Wolverina: Your initial description of the scene was very well done. Unfortunately, the rest of your match was about 3 times the length of that, which doesn't say good things. "Razor's sperm spittoon" drew a reaction out of me. I uh... That's... That's definitely a thing I would like to not read again. Overall I thought this was a rather poor performance. I like that you focused on the storyline headed into the PPV, which shows you have intelligent direction... But you kinda shit the bed on the 'match' part. This was probably better off as a segment rather than a match.

Verdict: Wolverina in a small landslide.

Main Event
Maddox Paine vs. Paddy Perry
Grader: Ian

I'm going to preface this by stating when I graded before I didn't look for things that others did, so it might be a rough transition for some people. I apologize if I'm a little rusty.

PAINE: The first thing that jumps out at me are your nicknames are ridiculous. The exclamation point after lock-up? Equally ridiculous! Your action to start out with was a bit of a faster pace than I expected with two larger guys, but that's OK. You worked into a more methodical pace soon enough. You show a concerned effort to make sure your action is clear and that's always a big thing for me. You've done a fairly good job of character building for Maddox Paine, but it seems you may have glossed over Paddy Perry's character. I know it's a bit generic as far as characters go, but I think you could have done more. You're going to get huge points from me for the last few paragraphs. 1. You used a main event match on the last Vendetta before a PPV to build up to the upcoming PPV. 2. Your finish, while potentially crippling to the young career of Paddy Perry, accomplishes the task of putting Maddox Paine's name in the midst of the main event scene. If respect were still a category, you might be penalized for how much you did for your own character compared to his, but it's not and in this situation, I thought you did a great job.

PERRY: Through two paragraphs I am estimating I'm going to have an issue with you. You appear to be an exceptional writer mechanically, but it comes and goes. There are periods where you use way too descriptive of phrases to make your post seem longer and then there are periods where there is a lack of pertinent description. IE: Maddox turns around an arm-bar into a 'slam.' I don't know what happened there. I can read between the lines and get a descent idea, but making sure your action is clear is more important than giving me nicknames or places of birth to make it read nicer. I thought you did a few things really well. One of the things I look for is character building, and you did a fantastic job with BOTH characters, which is more than I can say was the average. Maddox Paine losing like that - with the post-match antics, probably helps his character. The cheap win of Perry does well to set the character up as a 'sleeper' in the main event scene as his ring-savvy was on full display. I would criticize you for not being more clear about your character in the match, but I understand how difficult it is to reassert your claims as a face in a match. As I stated previously in so many words, your finish was very well thought-out, but I thought it certainly could have used more build-up. All-in-all it was a very solid effort from you, but there are areas where I think you could make simple fixes and be infinitely better almost instantly. Make sure your action is clear and focus on storylines a little more.

WINNER: Maddox Paine. Obviously not your best effort but a very good effort. Perry's match was on the same level mechanically, but down the ticket I have to give Maddox the edge. It was a little more exciting, a little better an ending, and a little better in character building. I thought Perry had a slight edge in description and certainly wasn't outclassed. Great effort from you two on a show where we didn't see much of that. Thanks.
