Kildare starlets Daniel Flynn and Sean Hurley are expected to leave for AFL trials in Australia.
The Johnstownbridge men are to travel in November, with Hurley set for Fremantle, while 20-year-old Flynn is to train with an as of yet unnamed Melbourne club.
Fremantle have been aware of Hurley, 21, since the AFL Draft Combine last year, while recruitment manager Brad Lloyd watched a number of Kildare’s Under-21 games.
Both were also involved in a Tadgh Kennelly-coached AFL Europe selection against an AFL Academy team in Surrey in April, which was watched by AFL scouts.
Hurley and Flynn were part of Kildare’s Leinster Under-21 winning team, while Kieran McGeeney gave Flynn his senior bow this year, and Hurley made his senior debut in 2011.
