Gone Girl writer Gillian Flynn will reunite with star Ben Affleck and director David Fincher for a remake of Strangers on a Train.
Flynn will update the 1951 Alfred Hitchcock movie as a modern thriller titled Strangers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Affleck will take on the role of a tennis player, who was portrayed by Farley Granger in the original movie. The athlete finds himself at the mercy of a charismatic psychopath during a long train ride.
Hitchcock's version of Strangers on a Train was adapted for the big screen from Patricia Highsmith's controversial novel.
The original movie was nominated for an Academy Award, and later earned a place on AFI's 100 Years...100 Thrills list.
Flynn is currently working with Fincher on a US version of British series Utopia for HBO.
Gone Girl, which is based on Flynn's best-selling novel, made more than $365 million at the worldwide box office.
