Miley Cyrus' Bangerz tour is drawing a lot of attention, what with her pretending to be Monica Lewinsky orally pleasing a fake Bill Clinton and riding a giant hot dog and such. But it is also (perhaps unsurprisingly) drawing a lot of complaints as well. MusicFix reports that Cyrus' antics are drawing complaints from parents over the sexual and drug-promoting content.

A source said, "Miley's management have been flooded with complaints, mainly from parents, since her tour began last week in Canada with calls for the entire tour to be axed. Her team, including management, record label execs and the entire tour staff including the director, costume department and choreographers - have been called for an emergency meeting as arenas across the US threaten to pull out of the show."

The source noted that one parent managed to get as high as the heads of Cyrus' label Interscope, and told them that walked out of the show because they would not subject their nine-year-old to a "porn show".

The tour doesn't have any kind of disclaimer in its promotion, which is drawing complaints as children of all ages are being brought. Many parents are also reportedly selling their tickets on eBay and other ways, or demanding refunds. The source added, "The problem is Miley loves to shock so she decided to take it to the extreme for her Bangerz tour but this time she may have taken it too far."

Lady Gaga's tours are the same. Why are people complaining when if they had seen Mileys's last 3 or 4 videos to her singles and the VMA's then they'd know she is a Disney princess anymore.

I'm no expert (thank fuck), but Lady GaGa's stuff isn't sexually obsessed like Miley's is. Gaga is just...out there, being odd, while Miley might as well be a pornstar.

Plus I bet any money Gaga's tours have age disclaimers, where Miley's didn't.

Of course, that doesn't stop the parents taking their nine year olds to these events from being utter fucking morons and not realising. Unless they are in the know, though, they'll still think she's that Hannah whats-her-name character on stage...

This all goes back to Miley having been a child star. These parents apparently think she's Hannah Montana.

Katy Perry and Gaga and many others have sexually-themed content but the difference is they didn't start out as child stars.

I think Miley is rather awful as a musical act but it's ridiculous to think just because she was once on Disney that she should be put in a glass jar and never grow up. It's a proven formula that others with similar backgrounds have all done because they have to break out of that 'kiddy bubblegum' image to have a chance to be taken seriously: Britney and Christina Aguiera and Justin Timberlake, etc., have all done the same thing.

There's two ways Miley can go right now. ONE is to finish this tour, realise her message has been received, and then get back to focusing on her career. THAT is the positive route. Thats what Drew, Alyssa, Britney, Justin and Christina did.

The other way is the Lindsay Lohan route.

I'm a little upset over the usage of "porn star" here. It is an insult to the women of the adult film industry.

It did for those that wanted to be taken seriously as an adult actor though. And noticeably, it did for those FEMALE Child Stars that wanted to be taken seriously as an adult.

I'm not saying its the norm, nor do I believe it should be. BUT Miley going overboard isn't without precedent, and I just wish the media would stop calling it 'Miley is going crazy' and instead realise its a Child Actress, whose had a LOT of pressure on her for years, finding a way to release some steam.
