WWE is taking steps against independent groups running WrestleMania 31 weekend in Santa Clara, CA.
According to the deal that that the WWE made to run the event there, WWE has locked in a no-compete with all city owned facilities in the market as well as several larger hotel chains. Due to this, promoters who usually run conventions and wrestling shows over WrestleMania week have been told that non-competes won't allow any wrestling events to be held in those venues.
Bullshit move on their part. People that cant afford Mania tickets have an alternate that they CAN afford a ticket to, and this is just taking that away. |
