Here is the latest on Sting possibly signing with the WWE. Word is that the two sides are still negotiating, and that a decision has to be made within the next 2 weeks as to whether or not he joins the company.
At this time, it is said that several factors are still being worked out between both sides, one of them being what Sting is and is not willing to do creatively. The feeling backstage is that Sting realizes that if he is going to make a WWE run that the time is now, although that doesn't necessarily mean a WrestleMania 30 appearance. The impression is that a match between Sting and The Undertaker will not happen at WrestleMania 30, but that him making his debut at the event is being discussed.
On the WWE side, the company feels that with the launch of the WWE Network coming in February that Sting could be very useful when pushing WCW content, since he is often thought of as the face of the company. WWE has previously used Ric Flair and DDP to push WCW content, but feel Sting could be a bigger asset in regards to the promotion of the WCW content.
