It's so close...that opportunity...that chance of a lifetime. They can taste it. Here we go. It's now or never.

DING DING DING

The King of Xtreme finals are underway. The two competitors had come out before the match and traded some insults back and forth, but the PPV feed had derped out during that entire segment, so what they said is almost moot. Anyway, Tyler Lawson stands in the ring, a slightly intrigued look on his face after going through the verbal exchange, while John Hudson stares back at him angrily. The crowd is going bananas in anticipation of this match. KoX Finals are typically very exciting affairs, but this one might be a bit more psychological, Lawson being the technical wizard that he is, and Hudson's mindset being quite questionable as of late. On cue, Lawson smirks and steps forward, raising his arms in front of him, as if to usher Hudson into a Collar-and-Elbow. His opponent just stares at him, not even considering taking him up on that. Is he serious? He wants this to be a mat-wrestling contest...in an I Quit Match? Hudson snorts, shakes his head and drops back down to the mat, officially rejecting the offer to start the match, then rolls to the outside as Tyler stands back up, a bit miffed. He cracks his neck and watches John rummage under the ring for a few seconds, emerging with a Kendo stick. The crowd likes this; a bit of a cheer goes up as they see the weapon. Hudson rolls back into the ring and gets up, about to brandish it at his opponent, but suddenly the Instant Classic is right on top of him, taking his smaller opponent straight to the mat with a surprise Single-Leg Takedown. A bit of an unconventional one, too, as Hudson is taken down onto his side, and rolls quickly onto his stomach as the Kendo stick clatters away. Lawson keeps his grip on his opponent's leg as he pops right back up to his feet behind him, locking in an Ankle Lock on the Perennial Prince as soon as he can.

"And that there is smart. Work the body part as much as you can; make your opponent quit with a submission. Lawson definitely had a gameplan for tonight."

"Big whoop Ted. That's not a gameplan, it's the same strategy he uses for every damn match!"
Lawson wrenches the hold, and Hudson grunts in pain, but it's still early in the match, and it's not much of a problem for John to reach forward and grab his Kendo stick. He swings it back and flails it around in Lawson's general direction. They're not hard shots, but the stick softly pelts Tyler in various points around the head, and after a few hits, partially to protect his eyes, Tyler releases the hold and takes a step back. Hudson quickly swings his leg back underneath him and stands back up, swiveling his foot around to make sure he's ok as he turns to face his opponent. However, Lawson is still on the offensive, grabbing the stick and twisting around, using it as leverage to turn Hudson over his shoulder and hit some weird sort of Arm Drag. John thumps down on the mat, releasing his grip on the stick, and Lawson's already got an idea on what to do with it. He throws his leg up and tucks the weapon under him, falling straight down and across Hudson's chest with a Legdrop, aided by the weapon. John covers up his chest as Lawson rolls down toward his feet once again. He grabs an ankle as he stands back up and looks to be going for a Half-Crab, but before he can twist his opponent around, Hudson pulls him in, plants his other foot on Lawson's sternum, and pushes as hard as he can. The Instant Classic gets pushed back into the ropes as Hudson pops back up, still rubbing his sternum a little bit. There's about a half of a second of standoff before Lawson charges back at his opponent. Hudson ducks the clothesline and immediately steps onto the middle rope. Lawson turns around...and runs right into a Triangle Dropkick by his nimble opponent, which drops him flat on his back.

"And there's Hudson turning the match around here in the early going. It's bound to be a long one, but an early advantage is always important!"

"Sure it is, Ted. I'll tell ya, this business is all about FINISHING. Early advantages got nothing to do with it."
After lying on his back to catch a quick breath, Hudson rolls backwards onto all fours and scampers forward, laying back next to Lawson and clamping on an Inverted Side Headlock. The crowd quiets considerably as he starts shouting at the ref to "ask him". The official lazily lowers the microphone to Lawson, who looks at him funny before simply mouthing a puzzled "no". He cringes a little bit, but is not in any substantial pain. Hudson tries to fix this, and wrenches the hold a lot tighter. The air gets cut off a bit from Tyler's lungs, and he begins to struggle a bit, but finds a way to counter, getting his right knee up high enough to get around John's head. He brings his legs back down, the momentum flipping the smaller man over and to his feet. Head between Lawson's knees, Hudson quickly frees himself and stands back up, before rearing back and kicking at his opponent. Tyler falls flat on his back to avoid the impact, and as the Perennial Prince loses his balance upon the miss, Lawson capitalizes by grabbing him around the leg and pulling him into a School Boy. This isn't for a pin, however, given the nature of the bout, and Tyler uses it to buy himself time to get up. Hudson rolls back onto all fours; Lawson sits back up. Both of them pop back up to their feet. Standoff. The crowd roars to life with applause after the exchange. But there's more to come.

"C'mooon, where's the hardcore? Where's the excruciating pain? Where's the quitting?"

"It's barely been 3 minutes, Adam. Certainly you'd expect a match to last much longer than this..."
Tyler takes a step back and puts his hand on the top rope, beginning to stretch his legs out a bit. Hudson quickly takes the opportunity to reach down and grab the Kendo stick again. Before Lawson can react, John has the stick and is swinging it at him. Tyler's only reaction is to throw up his forearms. The stick whacks off of his ulnas (they're one of the bones in your forearm), making a sickening crack, and Lawson immediately cringes, immediately beginning to shake off his stinging arms. Meanwhile, Hudson rears back again, and this time swings downward. Lawson, however, manages to see it coming, move his head out of the way, and trap the Kendo stick with his arms as it hits his shoulder. A little surprised, Hudson tries to pull it out, but Tyler's got a good clench on it. It's not budging. So...he goes straight to plan B. WHAM: kick to the nuts. The crowd actually starts booing the normally-face Hudson as Lawson drops to his knees, but he did say he'd do anything he could to make Tyler quit. John regains control of the weapon as Tyler cups his hands over his junk, and in one fluid motion, he swings back around and smashes it over the side of the Instant Classic's head. The stick is snapped in half by the impact, and Lawson's head snaps to the side as he slowly falls to his right, crumpling in a heap on the canvas. Hudson stops and smiles menacingly, working the crowd as Lawson limply rolls out of the ring to the floor. As the fans are in disapproval, Hudson drops the broken cane and slowly, almost arrogantly heads toward the ropes and slides himself through before dropping to the floor. After pushing Lawson out of the way with his foot, he grabs the ring apron and pulls it up, allowing himself to look for something else under the ring.

"Now what's he looking for?"

"Hopefully something hard...and painful."
Ha, Adam said "something hard". Anyway...as Lawson holds the side of his head and tries to regain his sense of awareness, Hudson continues to look for something to use. He's got it....a trash can lid? Interesting. Lawson gets a hand on the side of the ring and tries to pull himself up, but ends up just getting smacked in the face instead. The shot with the lid sends him stumbling forward, and he runs into the barricade, nearly falling over it as Hudson follows him. Lawson tries to steady himself with his hands, but Hudson gets right to him and quickly picks him up, shifting him around a little as to turn him, so that his legs are on the other side of the barricade, and he is balanced on the top of it. After putting his opponent down, the Perennial Prince grabs Tyler by the chin, lifting his head up a bit only to give it a whack with the aluminum lid. The crowd lets out a sympathetic groan after hearing the impact, but Hudson just keeps at it, a crazed gleam in his eye. WHACK! After a third shot, he gets in Lawson's face, yelling out "Do you quit now? Ask him, ref!". The official holds the mic up to the Instant Classic, but Lawson simply shakes his head and yelps a "No!". Not what Hudson wanted to hear. WHACK! He hits another one, then makes the ref ask him again. Lawson moans slightly, but still says "Neh", denying any intention to give up just yet. With that, Hudson gives up on this plan, throwing the lid like a Frisbee into the ring and grabbing his opponent by the arm. John drags Tyler by the wrist back over the top of the barricade and over toward the ring, and it seems he's in control of this one. Who'd have seen this coming? As the two get to the side of the ring, where Hudson smacks Lawson's head into the canvas for good measure, the commentators weigh in on this.

"At this rate, we might just be in for a huge upset here in this match!"

"Pff. Speak for yourself, upset. I didn't think the Butt Pirate was gonna win at all, thank you very much..."
Hudson rolls his opponent back into the ring, as Lawson is in pretty bad shape after that beating. Hudson slides into the ring and stands back up, grabbing the can lid as he reaches his feet. After sizing Lawson up for a split second, he drops the can between his feet and waits for his opponent to get back up. Lawson struggles to his feet, a hand feeling at a large lump on the back of his head. Before he can stand up straight, John grabs him and shoves him underneath, ready for a Piledriver. He smiles as he grabs Lawson around the waist, but as he tries to pick his opponent up, Tyler tries to struggle out of it. The bigger man is more trouble than Hudson bargained for, and he just won't go high enough to hit the move. Instead, the Instant Classic uses his strength advantage to power himself up to a vertical base, therefore launching his opponent over top of him and back-first onto the mat with a Back Body Drop. Lawson stumbles forward into the ropes, catching them to remain on his feet as the crowd cheers at his counter. He catches his breath as Hudson scrambles back to his feet. As the Perennial Prince runs back at him, Lawson turns around and quickly throws his leg up in front of him in desparation. It somehow catches Hudson square in the chest, and Tyler drives him straight down to the canvas with a Big Boot. He stumbles forward again, but manages to catch himself on his own this time. However, he nearly drops to one knee after this, his right hand up at his forehead, rubbing his temple with his thumb, just trying to get the ringing out of his ears. The fans start a "Let's go Lawson" chant to try to help him out. He hears it and smirks, slowly waving his arms up in the air to pump them up even further. Meanwhile, Hudson rolls onto his side and begins to try to push himself up.

"What's that Closet Gay doing? You don't play up to the crowd in a match like this!"

"It's called taking a breather Adam. Give him a break, will ya?"
Lawson slowly turns around and makes his way over to his opponent, who just reaches his feet. Tyler takes him by the ankles and throws him onto his back. The surprise of being tripped up like that shocks Hudson to the point that he can't defend himself as Lawson ties his legs up, locks his own arms into place around him, and spins around right into the Texas Cloverleaf. Hudson grimaces hard as Lawson leans back and stretches him out. As they're near the ropes, the referee slides out of the ring and sticks the microphone back through to ask Hudson whether he gives up, but the Perennial Prince simply shakes his head and begins to crawl forward, trying to just fall to the outside to get out of the hold. Lawson's got it locked in tight, but his balance turns out to be the issue, as Hudson is able to make him step back a few steps, grab the side of the ring, and strain to pull himself down out of the ring. As the position is getting mighty awkward, Lawson has no choice but to release the hold, dropping his opponent right out of the ring. Hudson falls in a heap out by the ref, but it's better than being in the submission move in the ring. Lawson falls flat on his ass, and has to use the ropes to pull himself back up. Slowly, awkwardly, both men struggle to get to their feet. Lawson has the help of the ropes, so he's up first, but Hudson is right behind him, albeit a bit gingerly on his right knee. Lawson turns around and looks down at his opponent, getting a bit of an idea. He waits till Hudson is standing and pulls back on the ropes. Using the tension, he springs over them and tries to land on his opponent, but Hudson sidesteps in the direction of the stage area (They're on the far side of the ring from the camera), and Tyler misses the move completely. Landing on his feet, he puts his hands out to stop his face from smacking off the floor, but as he stands up, he is met by his opponent grabbing him up around the head. Hudson sticks his legs out to either side and falls down into a hard Sitout Jawbreaker.

"Ooh, just like that, Hudson regains control. Very back-and-forth match we have here."

"He's gotta stop going for the head though. If he knocks Lawson out, he won't be able to quit!"
Lawson is knocked back to his heels, and he wildly flails his arms forward to try to maintain his balance. His opponent however, spoils the attempt, as Hudson sticks up his foot and lightly taps Lawson, tipping the balance and sending the Instant Classic falling right on his ass, sliding over toward the barricade. After watching his handiwork, Hudson spins around on his rear and throws up the ring apron, looking back under the ring for weapons to use. As Lawson sits, a hand around his jaw, Hudson slides himself back out from under the ring, several classic weapons in tow. First, he lifts up a chair and slides it into the ring, followed by a very imposing roll of barbed wire. That leaves him holding a metal trash can, probably the match to the lid already in the ring. Using it to steady himself, he pushes himself back up to his feet and throws a knee up onto the ring apron. After climbing up back onto the mat, the Perennial Prince tosses the can over the ropes, all the while contemplating what he wants to do with it. He turns back toward his opponent; Lawson is trying to stand up. The Instant Classic grabs the top of the barricade and uses it to push himself back to his feet, but Hudson is immediately able to bring him back down after leaping off the ropes and running right into him with a Double Axe Handle. Lawson falls back into the barricade, where luckily enough, his arms catch the top of it behind him and he is hung up...lucky for Hudson, anyway. After catching himself following the impact, he has no trouble reaching forward and grabbing Lawson by the head. Thus, he takes Tyler and swiftly leads him stumbling toward the ring, then nearly tosses him forward up onto the apron. Lawson rolls into the center of the ring as Hudson follows him back inside the squared circle.

"This does not bode well for Lawson! All these weapons, and Hudson hasn't been in the best state of mind recently! This could get ugly."

"Well it is called 'Kind of Xtreme' for a reason."
The crowd begins to get restless as Hudson gets himself up. Another "Let's go Lawson!" chant arises, and this angers the Perennial Prince a bit. Not to say he doesn't have any support himself, there is a good chunk of fans that are cheering for him yet. However, most of the crowd is firmly behind his opponent, and he doesn't like that. He grabs the trash can off of the mat and brings it over to Lawson, then quickly jams the bottom of it into Tyler's midsection. Lawson reflexively curls up and covers up, and this allows Hudson to move the target of his attack to his opponent's face. He strikes Lawson square in the face with the bottom of the can, knocking him temporarily senseless. Tyler's limbs fall limp to the canvas as his many supporters start to boo. Hudson drops the trash can on its side and stands over his fallen opponent. There's not much oppertunity to get him to quit, so the only solution is...more punishment! He immediately draws his foot up and drives it into Lawson's stomach...and again! After two stomps, he pauses, then slowly steps back from his opponent, approaching the steel chair. He bends down and picks it up before heading off toward the corner. If you look closely, he's still a bit ginger on that leg of his, but as determined as he is, that doesn't stop him. John takes the chair and wedges it between the second and third ropes. Turning back toward Lawson, his mouth turns up into a smirk, and I'm sure we all have an idea of what he's gonna try.

"Now what did I say about early advantage Adam? Hudson's in complete control now."

"I thought you were rooting for Lawson."

"I am an impartial announcer, thank you very much..."
Hudson reaches down and grabs Lawson around the shoulders, guiding him back up to his feet. Tyler is still a little out of it, so he goes unwillingly, but he is up, and the Perennial Prince wastes no time in positioning him for his next move, directing him to the corner. An Irish Whip later and Lawson's back smacks into the steel chair. This impact jolts him back to his senses, but unfortunately stings like a bitch, so he has no choice but to slump back, holding a hand to the area in question. Meanwhile, Hudson follows up quickly on the move, getting right underneath Lawson and picking him up around the waist, head under his arm. After spinning around, John is himself in the corner, and he sets Lawson's feet on the middle rope to set up his next move. After making sure of his grip, he steps forward, aiming for the downed trash can. He's clearly going for his Spinebuster, starting from the higher height to deal with the heavier Lawson, but he never hits it, because Lawson, now alert, manages to wriggle free right before Hudson was to drop him, and lands on his feet. While John nearly falls forward, flat on his face, Lawson nails him with a hard kick to the midsection. After Hudson doubles over, his opponent grabs him by the head and quickly falls back, planting him into the trash can with a nearly-sickening DDT. The metal crunches under Hudson's skull, and he immediately starts writing around on the canvas, driven loopy by the impact. However, Lawson is also slow to get up, having taken quite the beating in this now-ten minute match.

"Oh GAWD what an impact!"

"And if he can't take advantage of this, the Closet Gay better just pack up his Playgirls and go home."
As Hudson holds his head, Lawson lays flat on the mat, cracking his neck, stretching, and the like, trying to alleviate the accumulated pain he's gotten so far. The cheers increase as the two competitors lay on the mat, signaling what should be a turning point in the bout. Eventually, Tyler starts to crawl off in the direction of the ropes, gradually standing as he goes. After several seconds, he is to his feet, although a little shaky. Meanwhile, Hudson is also trying to stand up, albeit at a much slower pace, and having a lot more trouble. As Lawson gets up, he leans hard into the ropes and sends himself jogging off across the ring. As soon as Hudson eventually reaches his feet, he is immediately met by the Instant Classic, who delivers a powerful Spear, flooring his opponent once again. He gets up to his knees as Hudson's arms linger in the air, driving home how hard he was hit. Struggling a little still, Lawson stands back up, a hand on his back, all while keeping a hold of Hudson's left ankle with his other hand. Once he's standing, Tyler looks around, taking in the cheers of the crowd. Nodding to a point where he's almost headbanging, he pumps himself up a bit before quickly spinning around, hooking up Hudson's leg in his own. After completing a 360, he sits down, ties himself up with John's other leg, and to the crowd's heavy approval, applies a Figure-4 Leglock. Hudson begins to squirm again, as the pressure is put back on his knee.

"Figure Four! Figure Four! And this could very well make Hudson quit!"

"Mind you, quitting takes a hell of a lot more than simply tapping out."
Hudson tries reaching out for the ropes, but he can't pull off the escape quite like he did last time. The referee holds the microphone to him, to listen for a resignation, but a loud 'NO!' assures everyone that this one isn't over yet. John slaps his palm on the mat, grunting in pain from his knee being bent backward. The only thing he can reach at this point is the trash can lid, and once he sees it, reaches for it as hard as he can. He grabs it, but has to pause to shout out in pain as Lawson pushes off the ground, cranking up the pressure. In desperation, Hudson swings the lid at his opponent. Lawson ducks backward, but gets his butt back on the mat, slightly relieving the pressure on Hudson's knee. This isn't enough for him, though, as he swings back again to the right. Lawson again drops to his back, and Hudson misses for a second time. However, he gets an idea. Swinging back to the left, he gets Lawson to fall back again, but this time, before the Instant Classic sits up, John uses the momentum to roll the two of them over, thus reversing the pressure on Lawson. After the initial surprise of the counter, the pain hits Lawson, and he wastes no time in releasing the hold and scrambling back into the corner so that he can get up. Meanwhile, Hudson, holding his own knee, grabs the ropes over by him and tries to get up as well. It doesn't really work, though, and Lawson has a noticeably easier time getting back to his feet. The Instant Classic slumps back in the corner, watching his opponent struggle to even pull himself up to his knees, and decides now is a good time to take a short breather.

"Another stupid move here. You always want to keep up the momentum."

"That's not true at all! Lawson specializes in slower-paced technical matches; this is exactly what he wants."
Lawson lets Hudson stagger up so his knees, but as he tries to set a foot, Tyler starts to walk over toward him. Lawson is still showing signs of wear, but he tries to put it beside him as he reaches forward to grab his opponent. It looks like he's reaching around for a sleeper, but we'll never know, as Hudson, out of instinct, immediately lurches his elbow back, catching Lawson in the side of the head. Lawson is taken aback, and he stumbles back a few steps, but it wasn't necessarily a hard shot, as he remains standing through it all. The Perennial Prince tries to take advantage, turning, as quick as he can, toward Lawson and trying to leap up into a Step-up Enzuigiri, but his knee's state forces a larger windup for his jump, and that telegraphs it for Lawson. Tyler catches Hudson's left leg under his arm, and manages to duck under the kick just in time. Hudson goes all the way around, landing back on his foot with a cringe. Lawson doesn't give him any time with that though, as he pulls John's leg hard and drives into him with a Shoulder Tackle. Hudson hits the ground hard, and the impact actually rolls him back, over his head, and onto his hands and knees. Tyler then carefully steps forward, grabs his opponent by the arm, and quickly pulls him back up to his feet. He takes Hudson to the ropes, gathering momentum, then shoots him right off toward the corner where the chair is. Regardless of being in visible pain with every step he takes, Hudson is aware enough to know to avoid the chair, and does the only thing he can, run straight up the ropes. After nearly losing his balance at the top rope, he cringes, closes his eyes, and leaps back, flipping toward Lawson and turning to the side. It would be a beautiful Reverse Crossbody, if Lawson hadn't seen it coming and managed to catch Hudson on the way down. The crowd pops big as Tyler stands his ground, having planted his feet firmly before the fact.

"And he caught him! Hooh boy, this could be trouble!"

"Oh no!"
Lawson isn't completely sure he's able to do this after the beating he's taken, but in a match like this, it's at least worth a shot. Despite having Hudson in the universal Backbreaker position, he instead starts to shift him, throwing his right arm over John's head. Using his reserves on this one, he grunts loudly as he throws Hudson't legs up, nearly having him vertical. However, the Perennial Prince tips and falls, landing square on Lawson's shoulder. Just what he wanted. from there, the Instant Classic lowers his opponent in front of him, head facing down. He positions Hudson's head between his legs, to make sure he doesn't break any necks, and then simply sits down, thus hitting his first Piledriver in a long time. The crowd audibly 'OOOH's as Hudson's head smacks off the canvas, but Lawson has no way to capitalize, as upon connecting with the move, he tweaks his back a bit. His left hand shoots to his spine, and he actually rolls out of the ring and falls to the floor as Hudson flops about the ring again like a fish out of water. Lawson manages to land on one knee, but he wastes a lot of precious time holding his back, trying to crack it, and the like, instead of going after Hudson, trying to make him quit. Hudson stops writhing and just lays there, flat on his face, as Tyler is busy wincing on the ouside. The chants start up again, with the majority of the crowd yelling "Instant Classic!" and greatly drowning out those responding with "T! P! P!" for Hudson.

"That's it. Lawson just blew it there."

"I don't think Hudson's going to be moving any time soon. He's still got an opportunity. He just has to take it."

"Well he'd better freaking hurry!"
Lawson knows this as well, and he fights through the pain and tries to roll himself back into the ring. Hudson pushes off with his elbow to raise himself, but it's doubtful he even knows where he is. Tyler grabs the middle rope, slowly, shakily, and uncertainly trying to pull himself up. He's sore all over, but this is one match he just has to win. It takes several seconds, but eventually, he is up. Hudson is still not even on all fours, so Lawson hobbles over to him and reaches down to pull him up. After raising his opponent and applying a Front Facelock, he lifts a finger in the air, garnering a massive pop for what he's about to do next. He lifts Hudson up vertically....but can't keep there. The Toxic Spike will have to wait. It might have been his back, or it might have been Hudson. We'll never know. Hudson falls back behind Lawson, but manages to land on all fours. Sensing opportunity, he leaps forward on a shot of adrenaline and manages to nail Lawson right in the back of the right knee with a Chop Block. Note, this was the same knee that the Figure-4 got reversed into earlier, so it's already taken a bit of damage. But this is the kicker. Lawson moans loudly as his oft-injured knee is sent into heavy pain, and he crumples, grabbing under his brace to try and relieve himself. He ends up in the fetal position, both hands glued to his leg, as Hudson lays on his stomach, spread flat on the canvas. However, he slyly looks around, and a bit of a grin crosses his pained face. He's got the advantage back. It's time to put his opponent away. The match has just about reached the 15 minute mark. The endgame starts now.

"And just look what this absolutely grueling match has done to these two warriors! They've proven they'll do ANYTHING to get that XtremeMania title shot!"

"Well...anything is a bit of a strong term..."
Hudson starts to push himself up to his feet. It's a battle, with his legs having been targeted the whole time, but he makes it up before Lawson does at least. Tyler is barely in a sitting position as Hudson limps over to him. The Perennial Prince looks down at his opponent, who pays no heed to anything but his knee. BAM! Suddenly Hudson hits a sharp kick to the kneecap, shocking Lawson and sending a new rush of pain through him. He scrambles back against the ropes and cradles his leg again as Hudson smirks. He turns to the weapons in the ring, then gets a bit of a diabolical idea. Making sure not to bend his knees, he tips at the waist to reach down and grab the roll of barbed wire...uh oh. He makes his way back to Lawson and drops to a knee. Now only focusing on winning...and maybe some punishment, he drives the sharp edges of the wire into the exposed part of Lawson's knee. Tyler starts yelling, waiving his arms around nearly helplessly as the wire begins to carve up his knee. It breaks the skin, and a few trickles of red begin to flow out. Satisfied with the blood, Hudson takes the roll away, only to rush it back and smash Lawson's knee with it again. Lawson yelps out in agony after the strike, and Hudson drops the roll as he stands up, staring down at his opponent as he tries to stop the bleeding. After a few seconds, he reaches down and pulls Lawson up to his feet, violently starting to drag him over to the near right hand corner. Both men are limping pretty badly at this point, so the little mini-parade they have going here looks highly awkward, but Lawson gets put in the corner; the job got done.

"Well...now at this point I don't know how much more Lawson can take. Hudson's just tearing that knee of his apart."

"Y-n-eh-bu...I don't get you, Ted..."
Hudson throws an elbow over Tyler's face and pushes his forearm against it, just pushing his head back mercilessly. A little out of place, considering the situation, he begins yelling at the Instant Classic: "Ya give up Lawson? Huh? Ya give up?" The official doesn't even need to extend the microphone to Lawson; his grunt of "Neeh!" is enough to acknowledge him not quitting quite yet. Hudson doesn't like it. He starts to push harder on Lawson's face, but then suddenly decides to stop. Tyler falls forward, almost on top of him, and this easily allows John to pick hum up, turn him 45 degrees to the right, and set him on the top rope. He tucks Lawson's right foot under the top rope, and then pushes him back. Tyler falls, but his leg is caught, he is held in place on the ropes, and his injured knee is being tortured by gravity to boot. He starts to grunt and shout, struggling to try to get himself free as Hudson dusts off his hands, proud of his handiwork. The perennial prince then limps off to the other side of the ring. Retrieving the steel chair from the other turnbuckles, he slowly but surely returns as the ref exits to the apron to give Lawson the magic question. "No!" That may be about to change. Hudson is back with the chair, and he raises it high over his head....WHAM! Right to Lawson's knee! WHAM! Another shot. They might be mostly getting the knee brace, but the shots are debilitating, and all hope looks lost for Lawson as he is just crying out at this point. The steady stream of "NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" from his mouth at this point is probably more a "No, don't do that to me!" than a "No, I don't quit!" at this point.

"Oh my God! OH MY GOD! That's inhuman! Stop that!"

(Adam is Speechless)
WHAM! Hudson connects again! Lawson just starts seething instead of screaming. WHAM! Another heavy cringe. John shouts at the referee to ask him again as the crowd is raining a chorus of boos onto the ring. Hudson claims to be getting rid of 'evil', but he's made a whole lot of enemies in this match for sure. Tyler wobbles around like a rag doll, just hanging by a thread. The referee holds out the microphone...WHAM...and Lawson...well, Lawson delivers a line that is sure to go down in XWA History.

"I...AHHH...I.....I....AYE...

...I WILL NEVER QUIIIIIIT!"
The adrenaline kicks in. Right then and there. I love it when that happens. Hudson is taken aback by the outburst, and that gives the Instant Classic just enough time to insert his left leg right next to his right leg, giving him stability. The added leg, plus the burst of energy, allow Lawson to straighten both of his legs, springing up and forward, right at Hudson. John puts the chair up to defend himself, but Lawson sticks his forearms out in front of him, and they are the first to hit the chair, pushing it forward, hard, square, into the nose of the Perennial Prince. He is knocked flat on his back, and the chair goes flying out of the ring, as Lawson nearly scorpions on his face as he splats on the canvas. The crowd is going bonkers. The roof is nearly falling off the place. Lawson's adrenaline rush continues, as he grabs the middle rope and begins to pull himself to his feet. You can see the bloodstain on the mat where his knee was. He can barely put any weight on the leg at all, having to hold himself up on the ropes as he reaches his feet, but somehow, someway, he fights through it, hobbling his way over to his opponent, who has sat up and is checking his nose for blood. Lawson grabs Hudson and pulls him to his feet. He's on a leg and a quarter at this point, but he's still going for it. He hooks up the Front Facelock, and after a loud growl, gets Hudson in the air. It's nowhere near fully vertical, but just enough that he can fall right into the Toxic Spike.

"Toxic Spike! No way! No way!"

"How the...how the hell?"
Lawson's still got to get his opponent to quit though. That could be a problem...but then again, a taste of his own medicine might work. As Hudson rolls off of Lawson onto his back, Tyler starts desperately crawling and inching his way over to the barbed wire. The less weight he puts on that knee, the better. He grabs the wire, and one hand on his back, basically uses a single leg to inch his way back to Hudson. He gets there, and assumes a seated position, injured leg being kept out to one side. As quick as he can, he unrolls about 6 feet of wire, cuts it loose (There's a pair of scissors on the roll, I don't know), and begins to wrap it around John's left leg. Hudson is out like a light. He can't even tell this is going on. Trying to ride out the adrenaline as much as he can, but still being bothered by his back, Tyler repeats the process, only this time wrapping around Hudson't left leg. With his opponent now wearing barbed wire pants, Lawson uses the last reserves of his strength to push off of Hudson's legs and get himself back up. The crowd is on fire. Everyone can infer what's about to happen. He crosses Hudson't legs, spins him around...Sharpshooter applied. Maybe that was a bad idea. Not only are the barbs digging into Hudson, but they're digging into Tyler's bad knee as well. It's all down to endurance here. Hudson's eyes pop open and he starts to scream in absolute agony. Lawson's burst is rapidly running out too. His face gets pink as he grimaces. He looks like he's in tears. Each little prick on the wire, a needle stabbing both competitors. Lawson cries out, Hudson won't stop screaming. The referee holds the mic out.

"YAAAAAHHHHHH! OOH I QUIIIHIHIHIIIT!!"

Lawson passes out.

DING DING DING!!!

"The winner of this match, and 2013 King of Xtreme: "The Instant Classic" Tyler...LAWSONN!"

"BAH GAWD HE'S DONE IT! Lawson has come out of absolutely freakin NOWHERE, and he's won the King of Xtreme tournament!"

"In more way than one! I thought he was done for for sure!"
There's not much to say at this point. Lawson has simply succumbed to the pain. He had immediately dropped Hudson's legs and fallen flat on his face on the mat. The referee can't even raise his arm in victory. He's just unconscious. A few members of medical staff run out to tend to Hudson, who is still whining in the center of the ring, wires still wrapped around his legs.

"And it was a valiant effort for that man, too, but it's hard to beat an absolutely sensational comeback like we just saw!"

"Yep...like it or not....and whether he knows it or not, that Closet Gay is going to XtremeMania."
Normally there's some sort of victory speech associated with winning KoX, but Lawson is just in no shape to go about doing that. None of that matters though. All that's important is that step one is complete. Lawson's got the title match. He's so close to finally realizing his life's dream, of being a world champion. The match cost him a lot, but if he gets that world title, it'll all be worth it. For now, he's earned a bit of a nap, if you will. Let him lie. The medics carefully remove the wires from Hudson while one of them checks on Tyler. The ring seems like it's gonna take a bit to clean up before the main event can begin, so for now, the PPV cuts to a whole lot of filler, starting with an advertisement for next month's XtremeMania event, the main event of which is now half-set...

John Hudson stands across the ring from Tyler Lawson. The moment that both of these men have been waiting for the past month has arrived. Neither men has been World Champion, albeit Lawson being close. Lawson, the man who was a corner stone in DxWo has been very close, having main evented matches in XWA. Perhaps Lawson’s biggest match ever was the match in which David Michaels laid down in the centre of the ring. Hudson gets his first taste of the main event scene. Even in the King of Xtreme matches, Hudson was the guy who would open the show and wrestle in the first half. Despite their differences, the two men have the same goal in mind. To not say the words “I Quit”. Yes, the two simple words that will end not only the match, but the hopes and dreams of each opponent. Hudson and Lawson exchange glances, and then each man looks at the referee. “Are you going to start the match or what” Hudson says to the man in the striped shirt. “Alright, I want a fair contest. The first one to say the words I quit loses the match, no matter what. Do you two agree?” the referee says. Both men nod their heads as the ref brings both hands up and motions for the time keeper to ring the bell.

The aggressive Hudson moves towards Tyler Lawson one foot in front of the other as quick as possible. Lawson side steps Hudson but the momentum that Hudson has sends him towards the ropes. Lawson turns around and makes a run for Hudson in his direction. Hudson arrives at the ropes first, with Lawson following behind him. Lawson brings out both of his hands out and pushes Hudson tangling into the ropes. Once Hudson untangles himself, he gets out of the ring on his feet. He looks under the ring apron and finds a chair. Tyler Lawson leaves the ring and is met with a chair shot by Hudson. Hudson continues to smash Lawson with the chair. Hudson is tossed a mic and holds it up to Tyler Lawson's mouth. Lawson yells "I Quit" as the match ends.

The bell is rung three more times to end the match in shocking fashion.

Congrats TJ. Go get em. I need a break from writing matches, and leaving after this match will do me some good. As of right now, I won't be writing until I decide when I want to. Please note, that I'll still be writing on Revenge. TJ go to Xtrememania and win.
