| In 4 years, Sanchez has 90 combined interceptions and fumbles lost. |

| A lot of those came in a disastrous 4th year for Sanchez in an offense that had really only Kerley to throw to for a large majority of that season. That's bad. Geno Smith in 3/4 of these first 4 games has basically looked like Sanchez at his absolute worst.. with some long ball possibility. When he's not getting those opportunities, he's looking awful & some of his TOs are just outright mind boggling, Sanchez buttfumble-esque. Idk if you saw it but Geno's other fumble yesterday, not the "behind-the-back butt fumble," was just so awkward. He was on the run, got the first down, completely slowed down to just about a stop and simply left the ball out completely unsecured. When he's good it can turn into big plays but when he's bad it's veeery cringe-worthy. Like I said, for the most part at least, much worse than what I've seen from Sanchez over the years. Geno Smith has 11 INTs/fumbles in 4 games. I hope he turns it around cause he's our guy now, but the inconsistency is really bad to start out. At least there's upside so there's hope, and that Jets team just needs him to be good enough to keep them in games. The defense has become underrated by many. |

| Nigga Sanchez averages close to 20 INT's a season along w/ about 7 fumbles. It wasn't just one year. He only had like one decent year. |

| His 4th season brought all of those turnover averages up, but I know Sanchez isn't good. He's just good enough to get us wins in an offense that will give him SOMETHING to work with. That's what we need from Geno right now and so far he's only given that in 2 games, mainly only 1. The Jets D was just amazing + the Bucs offense was in chaos in Week 1.
It's only 4 games but a guy with 8 INTs and 3 fumbles this early doesn't set any kind of tone for consistency, and the Jets D just needs some consistent support offensively for us to win games. It's worse that when he's off, the turnovers just start piling on. He did it in preseason and he's done it so far this regular season. I'd simply trust Sanchez more in his 5th season, with these improved players on offense since last year. |
