| Can't wait 'till midnight strikes. Whiteside has narrowed down his three destinations to Miami, Dallas, and Portland. |

| Probably going to Dallas. Knicks are gonna get Noah which I'm happy about. Melo: Why go to Chicago when you can bring Chicago to you? |

| Maybe. They're a rotting team though. It depends what he's looking for. If he's trying to be a #1 option, he'll go to Dallas. If he's trying to win, he'll go to Portland, if it's just the money, he'll stay with Miami, they have no state income tax. |

| Other players with new destinations: Al Jefferson to the Pacers - 3 years | $30 million Jeremy Lin to the Nets - 3 years | $36 million Ish Smith to the Pistons - 3 years | $18 million I know Al Jefferson is starting to get old and has regressed but man, considering how much others are getting paid that's kind of a steal. I can't believe Batum re-signed with the Hornets for 5 years $120 million. Charlotte got ripped off. |

| As a Miami Heat fan whose favorite players are respectively Hassan Whiteside and LeBron James, I was pretty damn stoked to see Whiteside resigned when I woke up this morning. I would have been distraught to see him leave too, especially to the Lakers who I'm not a fan of. But man, can we just talk about how this new salary cap is a fucking joke? In what world did the '15-'16 season prove that Mozgov earned himself $16 mil/y, Dellevadova $9.5 mil/y, Jeremy Lin $12 mil/y, and Beal $25+ mil/y?(Among others, just the examples that have stuck outmost) I've never been one to complain about how much athletes get paid because if they're generating fans/money then technically they're earning it, but some of these contracts are a joke. Are the teams throwing these deals out or are fucking bench players starting to get so entitled and greedy that they're demanding this much? Christ I can't believe Mozgov is about to making $16 mil/yr when he was literally statistically-speaking the worst starting center in the league? He got benched in the playoffs for a 25 y/o that should be a damn PF and needless to say Cleveland likely would not have won the championship had they kept Mozgov in the line up. |

| Salary cap is what it is. Either the money can go to the billionaire owners or it can go to the players. I strongly prefer it go to the players. |

| Yeah, a lot of these deals just seem really ridiculous right now because the salary cap has just recently increased but I do prefer all this extra money goes to the players rather than owners.
But then again... the top players aren't the ones getting paid THAT much more. It's the bench and role players (and marginal starting players) that are getting their pay days when they don't really deserve it. |

I think a lot of teams just went crazy with the extra cap. It'll probably take a few years for it to settle in. |
