At last night's Pro Wrestling Syndicate show in Rahway, NJ independent wrestler Starman suffered what appeared to be a pretty serious injury. During a 6-man match for his Tri-State Championship, Starman went down on the outside, the event was stopped and he was taken out on a stretcher after several moments of medical attention. Starman gave a thumbs up to the live crowd before being taken away, indicating that he was at least, conscious.

BJ Whitmer Announces Retirement
Speaking of wrestlers injured at indie events, BJ Whitmer - who was injured following a piledriver on the ring apron - announced his retirement from professional wrestling last night at Ring of Honor's Death Before Dishonor iPPV. Whitmer said he was making the decision for his future, after consulting doctors and his family. He thanked ROH founder Gabe Sapolsky, Cary Silken, Nigel McGuinness and all the fans before long-time rival Jimmy Jacobs came to the ring.

Congratulations to Whitmer on an incredible pro wrestling career!
