| I would have to say Undertaker, honestly. Undead, paranormal guy named "The Undertaker," complete with funeral parlor music, sounds exactly like some of the shitty cartoon characters that plagued the 90s-era WWF, like the Goon or the Repo Man. And to think that that gimmick is one of the most defining, iconic characters in pro wrestling history is kind of funny when you think about it. Had Mark Calaway not been the amazing talent he is, I feel like Undertaker would have gone more the way of Duke "The Dumpster" What are some other really bad gimmicks that actually got over with the fans? |

| John Cena's Vanilla Ice impression. Technically he's still riding that gimmick, but thanks to subtle changes and treating the character seriously when he needs to, its barely recognizable any more.
Really, though. A Vanilla Ice impression got a wrestler to the top of the card in the 2000s. |

| I think you'll find he was trying to steal R-Truth's gimmick. |

| I think Kane's is a good one. I mean, when you first look at him back in 1997, espeically without any context whatsoever, you're like "OMG he looks so stupid!"...and even more so if you're not a wrestling fan. He doesn't appear human enough to take serious, but because Taker was over, I think they pulled it off.
Then it was awesome for a few years xD
You could say the same for Sting in WCW, really. Another dude with face paint, only he appears to have lost all colours bar black and white lol. |

| I referred in the other topic, and it needs to referred here: "The World's Largest Love Machine" (Viscera) and Sexual Chocolate were two gimmicks I absolutely loved. These are probably two amazing examples on how a weird idea turned out to be something (in my opinion) amazing.
Also, Big Dick Johnson. |

| Awww c'mon, 3MB were probably the best Tag Team gimmick WWE creative came up with. Way better than Deuce'n'Domino (they couldn't wrestle a broom without botching). |

| A rock band as a stable is fine. But I'm hard pressed to imagine Jinder Mahal or Drew Galloway rocking out to Judas Priest. |
