The show goes on from something or rather, and now we get to see everybody’s least favourite Australian person, James Best, sitting down chomping on an apple, the biggest of grins on his face… an appeased man.

“Hi guys, I’m James… you know, James Best, XWA’s household name, right?  Right?”

The crowds watch on in awkward silence, had it not been for a random “WHO IS THAT HOBO!!” the arena would be all but dead.

“I’ve been in the ring with them all, you name em, the Alex Firecrackers and the Johnny Westfalls, the TK’s and the JHalcs, I’ve been in this company a very long time, surely you guys are kidding, surely you guys have some idea who I am?  Guys?!!”

Awkward silence, with the same voice as before singing out “BOOO!!”

“Wow… I’m in shock.  I mean I was this close to winning the world championship not so long ago, it was my face, MY face on the poster for the first time in forever, I’ve had multiple title matches with some big names.  I cant believe you guys don’t know me… that just makes me want to put a sad face on everything I tweet now.”

After all this time James stops eating his apple, he loses his smile.

“I don’t know what to… I cant even… wow.  Thanks guys, thanks for nothing.”

James turns his head away from the camera directly in front of him, rubbing his brow into his shoulder.

“I just… I got some dirt in my eye… *sniff*.”

James turns back, not looking into the camera but slightly away from it, his eyes somewhat redder now.

“I tried you know… I really tried.  Last night, or whatever it is according to canon, you know I wanted to shine, I wanted to say yeah I lost some stuff you know *sniff* yeah I may have been slightly handicapped in the winning department but I wanted last night to be different, I wanted to beat Mark Storey so much!.”

James bows forward, succumbing to the tears which stream down his face, pulling a picture from his pocket and folding it open.

“I wanted to give everything I had, I wanted to beat a man who I have followed over three companies since 2008, he’s been a damn gold mine in every single one of those companies too, right back to the Real International Wrestling days but I just couldn’t. I COULDN’T BEAT HIM DAD!!”

The people in the front row jump slightly.

“WHY DAD! WHY DIDN’T YOU BUY ME THAT RED BIKE I ALWAYS WANTED!  WHY?!!”

James begins scowling, his face red, his brow curved, spluttering into the microphone.

“YOU TRAUMATISED ME YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!  YOU MADE ME GROW UP TO BE A LOSER, YOU MADE ME GROW UP WITH NO BALLS!  I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU DAD!!!”

James swipes his face with his forearm, barking into the picture in his hand.

“I WAS ALWAYS A DISAPPOINTMENT! I BLAME YOU DAD!!  YOU NEVER LOVED ME, I WASN’T GOOD ENOUGH, YOU LOVED GABRIEL MORE!!  I WAS NEVER GOOD ENOUGH!!!”

James raises his arm, anchoring the photo above his head and glaring at it menacingly.

“I’ll show you Dad… I am ten times the wrestler that Gabriel was, I am ten times better than that Mexistralian bastard!  Tonight… DANNY DIAMOND IS MY DAD!!!”

James crushes the photo in his hand, standing up and kicking it into irrelevance, dropping and rolling out of the ring and storming up the ramp, swiping the tears aside leaving nothing but a monstrous scowl underneath, sniffing all the way to the back and the show goes on.
