The enhanced port for Final Fantasy VII will be releasing for PlayStation 4 on October 16 in both North America and Europe.

Don't be fooled, however, this isn't the recently announced remake, which is still several years away from release. This is an enhanced port of the original PlayStation version that came to PC by way of Steam back in 2013.

Interestingly enough, series director Tetsuya Nomura expressed an interest in remaking even more Final Fantasy games during an interview at E3, noting that both Final Fantasy V and VI would be worthy candidates.
