Comedy sequel Pitch Perfect 3 is reportedly "moving ahead" after the success of the first two films.
Sources have told The Hollywood Reporter that Universal and Gold Circle are in talks with Kay Cannon who wrote the first two films.
It is not yet clear if co-star and producer Elizabeth Banks will return to direct the film after her work on Pitch Perfect 2.
"We're thinking about it, we're thinking about it very seriously," Banks said earlier this week about the possibility of a third movie.
"Of course we're at the very beginning of that process."
Deals for original Pitch Perfect stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are also said to be complex as neither were automatically signed up for sequels.
Hailee Steinfeld is said to have been locked into a follow-up when she joined the series in the second movie.
