True Grit's Hailee Steinfeld has joined Pitch Perfect 2.

The 17-year-old actress will star opposite returning cast members Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson, EW reports.


Steinfeld's role in the Elizabeth Banks-directed comedy is still unknown, with filming already in full swing.

Kay Cannon penned the screenplay for Pitch Perfect 2, which is set to be released in the US on May 15, 2015.

Details behind the plot are currently being kept under wraps.

Steinfeld is also attached to star in Term Life and The Keeping Room.
