Angry Birds are everywhere, even in Sega's endless runner game Sonic Dash.

On the same day Rovio released a new Angry Birds game on iOS and Android, Sega has announced that characters from the franchise would be appearing in Sonic Dash.

To celebrate Sonic Dash reaching 100 million downloads, Red, Chuck and Bomb will be available as part of a three-week special event.

Players can unlock the characters by collecting Angry Birds tokens during gameplay, or by spending cash.

Once unlocked 'Red Knight', 'Chuck Mage', and 'Bomb Pirate' will be playable permanently.

Sonic Dash made its iOS and Android debut in 2013. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Shadow all appear in the game.

Rovio, meanwhile, just debuted Angry Birds Fight on iOS and Android in the West.

A match-3 puzzle game with a Japanese theme, Angry Birds Fight sees players attempt to match puzzle in a bid to power up characters and win player-vs-player battles.
