As XWA Vendetta returns from commercial break, unfamiliar music begins blaring through the PA system. The fans stay silent, not knowing who will be entering the arena in just a few moments.



|Michaels| ”What the hell kind of music is this?”

As the classy orchestral music fades into a guitar riff that could be taken as one made by a glam rock band, A young androgynous looking blonde man comes out from the backstage area, dressed in a white regal looking robe with golden patterns. Two men in suits follow him from behind immediately, flanking him as if he was a celebrity. The trio begin walking down the ramp, with the blonde man smugly grinning as makes his way to the ring.

|Cedar| ”It’s Dracul du Maurier!”

|Michaels| ”Who?”

|Cedar| ”He was signed to XWA and was scheduled to go against Jared Jerusalem a few months back, but he didn’t show up and subsequently hasn’t made his presence known to the company since then. I wonder why he’s debuting now?”

|Michaels| ”Gah, whatever. Anyone who isn’t man enough to go against Jerusalem doesn’t have my respect.”

As they near the ring, the two henchmen go up the steps and widen the gap between the top and middle rope for the Brat Prince who enters the ring. His two lackeys immediately follow suit. Dracul walks to the center of the squared circle with one of his subjects on guard, while the other retrieves a mic from from ringside and hands it to his liege. The newcomer raises the mic to his lips and begins to speak

|Du Maurier| ”Now, I’m sure most of you don’t recognize me. Typical of you idiotic insects of Nebraska.”

The Pinnacle Bank Arena immediately blows up into a chorus of jeers after the condescending blueblood takes a jab at their intellect. The blonde cherub responds by rolling his eyes at the predictable reaction, then continues  to speak

|Du Maurier| ”Are you done, children? Allow me to introduce myself. I am Dracul du Maurier. I come from an ancient line of royalty hailing from Blackpool, England; and most importantly you should all feel blessed that I’ve made my presence known to you worthless worms!”

The Lincoln natives continue to shower the smug blueblood in the ring with hate, but this doesn’t sway the English man who reacts with apathy.

|Du Maurier| ”So predictable, you buffoons. Now, a few may remember my name and this is not an accident. I was placed by management in a match with Jared Jerusalem. Now, I didn’t follow through. Cowardice? Not quite. That fool doesn’t even deserve to do battle in the ring with me.”

|Michaels| ”Oh please!”

The blueblood bats an eye at the veteran David Michaels, looking visibly irked; before proceeding with his speech

|Du Maurier| ”Now, you all may be wondering why I’ve blessed you simpletons with my presence. It’s simple, really. Lately the XWA has been subjected to hideous, classless misrepresentation of royalty, courtesy of Prince Alex III. I originally was going to challenge him to a match and show him what a true blueblood is; but I’ve received word from management that he has since tucked his tail between his legs and ran away after Razor Xtreme humiliated him last week. An act which I appreciate, might I add.”

The crowd boos in displeasure of the news, and of Du Maurier’s support of Razor’s antics.

|Du Maurier| ”It’s a shame, really. I was looking forward to schooling that little nitwit, but seeing as how the Champion has done this for me; I’ll do something else: I challenge anyone in that locker room to face me at Summer Sanitarium. It’ll be my cleansing of the tarnished reputation royalty has gotten from that airhead Alex. Let me show you all the prowess of a true noble.”

The arena cheers at the chance of seeing an obnoxious brat get his ass kicked at the next pay-per-view, which the rookie notices

|Du Maurier| ”I see I’ve gotten you all excited. Perhaps upon hearing that I might be beaten in a match by someone in this industry. I’m sorry, but your immature fantasies will not be fulfilled; and I will show you just how worthless your heroes are before me.”

The crowd is incensed at this point as the blueblood giggles to himself as he hands the mic to his accomplice, who then gives it back to the ringside crew. Dracul’s music begins to play again as the trio exit the ring and walk up the ramp.

|Cedar| ”Well, that man may just have made a lot of enemies in his first appearance here in XWA. With his insulting remarks and an open challenge, anyone can show up at Summer Sanitarium and give this man the humbling he needs.”

|Michaels| ”I still can’t get over the fact at how much this little shit runs his mouth despite no showing Jared Jerusalem. He’s delusional!”

With that, XWA goes to commercial break

Will this be a regular character? I'd love to see him eventually get a manservant and order him around and so forth.

I love the French name for royalty from Blackpool of all places. So on the nose that it's good. I think the character speaks very much like a cocky royal asshole who thinks he's too big for his boots but he does it in such a stereotypical way I keep thinking that this is a character who can break away from that if anyone challenges his royal bloodline. This gimmick opens up a lot of match types and things though so it'll be interesting where you take him. Colour me intrigued.
