t was recently revealed that the Transformers cinematic universe is set to expand in the style of Marvel.
And we now have a further hint about what this universe could include, as Hasbro's CEO Brian Goldner has spoken about the possibility of individual characters getting their own films.
TFW2005 reports that Goldner commented on the possibility at the Citi Global Consumer Conference.
"As we go forward, we would imagine several more Transformers movies," he said. "Not just in the current lineage but also spin-offs and focusing in on key characters loved the world over."
He specifically referenced the Autobot Bumblebee, who was first introduced to the Transformers films in the 2007 movie as a friend of Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and is still a part of the franchise.
"Many of you know Bumblebee," Goldner said. "He is a beloved character by kids all over the world. We could see stories told around Bumblebee and other characters."
It has previously been reported that Transformers executives have been in talks about how to create further sequels and spin-offs as part of the franchise.
