Monster Hunter X has been announced for Nintendo 3DS.
Announced at today's (May 31) Japanese Nintendo Direct event, the Capcom title also received a first-look trailer.
Monster Hunter X - the latest in the Monster Hunter action role-playing series - is said to be built on 4 Ultimate's engine.
It will introduce new actions for all weapons and increase the focus on the hunter.
From Software will also be developing a spin-off, titled Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Airou Village DX. The offshoot allows players to direct the series's Felyne characters through quests and manage their village.
From Software is known for the Dark Souls games and the recent Bloodborne.
The last entry in the Monster Hunter franchise was Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, which was released February in the UK on 3DS.
