The match begins, with Dante and Icon standing nose to nose in the center of the ring. Neither ready to back down. You can cut the tension with a knife, as Dante steps back, smirks a cocky smirk then tries to throw a right hook. Icon ducks and throws a left hook to the body, doubling Cross over then follows up with a stiff knee to the face. Dante staggers backwards, knocked loopy from the shot. Icon follows him and forces him to the ropes. Icon then Irish whips him into the opposite ropes. Dante hits them and as he comes running back. Icon leaps into the air and nails him in the jaw with a picture perfect dropkick, Icon fips backwards onto his stomach as soon as he hit the kick. Dante hits his back holding his jaw. As Icon stands back up.
Cedar: Icon going to work with those strikes early on in this championship match.
Michaels: MMA training coming into play. He knows how to hit hard and fast.
Icon walks over to Danta and pulls him up to a standing basis. Icon throws a hard knee to the midsection followed by a front facelock and lifts him into the air for a suplex. Dante counters and drops to his feet behind Icon and wraps his arms around Icons waits and tries to throw him overhead with a German Suplex. Icon gets flipped backwards and he lands on his feet. He stands back up fully as Dante turns around. Icon blasts him with a solid elbow shot, knocking him back into the ropes. Dante bounces off and forward into Icon who wraps his arms around Dantes midsection and throws him overhead with a belly to belly the fans pop as Dante hits his back.
Cedar: Overhead belly to belly! Icon with the textbook suplex.
Michaels: Icon using his wrestling to his advantage. After a great series of counters, he nailed that suplex.
Cedar: Icon knows so many variations of suplexes, you counter one he has 5 more he can use.
Icon rolls over and goes for a cover, as he hooks the leg Dante kicks out, barely at one. Icon doesn’t hesitate, and throws a stiff right to Dantes face, he stands up and grabs Dante by the head, pulling him up to a standing basis, he stays holding onto his head and throws him into the ropes. Dante rebounds off and back into Icon who launches him up into the air and grabs his legs and viciously throws him into the mat with the Pop Up Powerbomb. Dante rolls out to the floor as Icon goes for the cover.
Cedar: Good God, that was brutal!
Michaels: Icon with one of his newest additions to his arsenal the Pop Up Powerbomb. Dante, smart man rolling away from the cover.
Dante rolls out to the floor and onto his feet, he starts stumbling towards the announce table, holding his back. Icon follows him out as Dante starts to climb over the guard rail and Ion grabs him by the shoulders. Dante throws a wild elbow backwards catching Icon in the ribs. It stuns him for just enough time for Dante to get over the barricade Icon starts to climb over to grab Dante. Who grabs a empty chair and throws it backwards, nailing Icon in the shoulder. Referee Jack Hammer, watching all this immediately calls for the bell. Fans boo immediately knowing what happened. Dante continues to run as the announcement is made.
Laura Watts: Here is your winner by disqualification The Xtreme Icon, however still XWA Intercontinental Champion Dante Cross!
Dante turns around and stares at Icon who is grabbing the title, and a mic.
Icon: Hey Cross! You want your belt?! Come and get it!!!!
In the crowd Dante looks at Icon who is holding the belt over his head, not wanting to get anywhere near him. Camera shot is on Icon who holds the title over his head and the show fades to black. With these words from Ted Cedar
