According to Pwinsider.com, former UFC Fighter Chael Sonnen will be announced as part of the promotion at today’s Global Force Wrestling press conference in Las Vegas. The site reports that Sonnen will join the company and work as an announcer. Jarrett had reportedly wanted Jim Ross and Sonnen to call the WrestleKingdom 9 event earlier this year.

Global Force Wrestling’s press conference takes place today at 1PM ET at the Orleans Hotel, and the promotion will start to reveal their roster at the event.

Too bad they couldn't get New Japan's World Pro Wrestling announce team.

I think Chael Sonnen and Jim Ross would be pretty damned good.

I think it would take a lot for GFW to get JR, and even then, I think he's still a little too loyal to WWE

He's been with GFW. He announced Wrestle Kingdom for them

That wasnt an actual GFW show with GFW talent...that was a one off deal so Jim Ross could call a show at the Tokyo Dome.

But the reason he did it was because GFW got New Japan got on pay per view here in America. He's GFW's announcer. If he was New Japan's he'd be doing their World Pro Wrestling show on AXS TV.

He has said many times he doesn't want to announce weekly, but Jarrett's tapings should be well within his ability imo
