Example Entrance: The lights are cut and the arena descends into darkness. A lone beam of light bounces around the arena, scanning various sections of the crowd, ring and XWA Vendetta stage. Thousands in attendance erupt as New Divide by Linkin Park hits the PA system, sending thunderous shock waves echoing throughout the arena. Anticipation builds as the tune escalates towards its apex, meanwhile, a smokey mist begins to filter out from backstage and onto the entrance ramp. The beam of light affixes on the XWA Vendetta stage, making a faint shadowy silhouette visible through the haze. New Divide hits its climax and the arena is light up as exploding pyrotechnics burst out of the XWA Vendetta stage and entrance ramp. Vertigo emerges through the smoke with his hair draped over his face, whipping it back over his head to show off his face paint design for the match. He then sprints down the race to the ring, sliding under the bottom rope and jumping up onto the top turnbuckle, taunting to the crowd as the arena lights turn back on.

Biography

Beginnings: Reid Miller is a man haunted by who he is. A mixture of terrible luck, poor choices and a lack of confidence saw him let his opportunities slip, basically flushing his life down the toilet. Trying to start fresh and get his life sorted out, he moved to New York, got a job as a kitchen hand and joined his local boxing gym to keep him out of trouble. A professional wrestling fan since he was a small child, he was intrigued by the fact that the gym offered basic wrestling classes and decided that the 'new' Reid would be the sort of guy to give it a try. But commitment and hard work had always been a problem for Reid and any sense of failure usually made him quit. Reid showed some early promise, but knew that any chance of making a career out of wrestling was a fairy tale. It was this lack of confidence in himself that made him stop wrestling. Reid realized that he could never make it, but someone else could. He then knew that he had to become someone else. When Reid puts the face paint on, everything changes, everything clicks. Not only does Reid gain the confidence to succeed, he becomes one of the most charismatic and eccentric people you'll ever meet.

As Reid Miller life is dead, but as Vertigo he is truly alive.

Independent Circuit: With his new found confidence, Vertigo quit his job in order to focus on a prospective professional wrestling career. In little time, Vertigo began to fulfill his potential, impressing trainers and talent scouts alike with his in-ring abilities, charismatic demeanor and strong work ethic. Ready to kick off his career and hone his skills, he signed up with small independent promotions in New Jersey and New York. After a number of months, Vertigo received several offers to tour the country and showcase his talent across the nation in front of various agents and recruiters from larger promotions. Ready to take the opportunity with both hands, Vertigo set off across the country wrestling against some of the best young Indy talent in America. At the end of the tour Vertigo had become a much improved wrestler, getting better with his execution after ever match. As a result of his hard work he received the chance to tryout with a number of the best professional wrestling promotions in the United States. However, feeling that he wasn't ready to make the leap to the national stage, Vertigo set off for Japan to refine his skills and make a name for himself around the world.

Introduction to XWA: Upon his return from Japan, Vertigo was approached by XWA talent scouts offering a tryout for their promotion. Now ready to test his wrestling prowess against some of the best competitors in the world, Vertigo accepted the offer. After excelling at his tryout in the XWA developmental territory, Vertigo signed a lengthy contract and made his debut at Vendetta #106 with a win over Prince Alex III.
