Since his return to WWE last year, Hulk Hogan has expressed his interest in having one more match at WrestleMania. There have been a few names tossed around as potential opponents for Hogan — “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, John Cena, and Rusev are the three names that Hogan has mentioned the most as a potential opponent for him. But unfortunately for Hogan, Steve Austin seems uninterested in wrestling again, and John Cena will be busy taking on Rusev at WrestleMania.

Most WWE fans believe that the finish of the Rusev vs. John Cena match at Fast Lane will be somewhat controversial, and warrant a rematch at WrestleMania, where Cena will come out victorious, and win the WWE United States Championship.

WWE does want Hogan to be involved in something at WrestleMania, and the idea of a tag-team match has been thrown around. If the match took place, it would be Rusev and a partner to be named later, against John Cena and Hulk Hogan. The idea here is to have Cena do most of the work, which would hide Hogan’s limitations and save him from embarrassing himself. Also, it would take the pressure of carrying a 10-minute match off of Hogan, and give WWE an excuse to not put the United States Championship on John Cena, while having either himself or Hulk Hogan pin Rusev.

When Rusev was called up to the main roster a year ago, the plan was always to have him go on a tear, and to have John Cena be the one to defeat him. It’s almost exactly what WWE did with Bray Wyatt last year. They build a big, scary monster and have John Cena defeat him at WrestleMania to give the John Cena fans — mainly kids — a happy ending. While that may not be the best formula for building future stars, WWE does want the John Cena fans to walk out of WrestleMania happy.

If WWE decides to go with the idea of a Hulk Hogan and John Cena tag-team, it’s likely that Hogan will be the first ever person to pin Rusev. Again, not the smartest move if WWE wants to build for the future, but, in their mind, they would be creating a great WrestleMania moment by letting Hogan — who is one of the men responsible for the success of the early WrestleMania’s — have one last great moment at WWE’s biggest show of the year.

This is going to mean nothing several months after and WWE will make Rusev a joke. They should honestly be building him for Roman Reigns. Not John Cena and Hulk Hogan.

Well the fans weren't pissed because Rusev lost, they were pissed because Reigns won and Daniel Bryan didn't. Anyone but Reigns would have gotten that pop Rusev got. You can try to spin it to say other wise, but the truth is he was only over for the slight moment because of Reigns winning and DB wasn't. Just like the year before with Reigns and Batista.

No one is gonna' boo this. Everyone in that arena will cheer and pose with Hogan, guaranteed. It's jackall like the Reigns/Bryan deal.

Ryback should beat Rusev at Mania. You would establish Ryback as a star by making him win his first every championship in his first ever wrestlemania by ending Rusev's streak. That's impressive but Cena? .... why bury Rusev? why?

It would be alright if WWE had better heels but they don't.
