- WWE has announced that the broadcast teams for Raw and Smackdown have officially been changed up. The company sent out a press release confirming that Michael Cole, Booker T and John Bradshaw Layfield will handle play-by-play and color commentary on Raw starting next week while Michael Cole, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Byron Saxton will be the broadcast for SmackDown when it moves to Thursday next week

Cole, Lawler and JBL will continue to be the broadcast team for PPVs.

... Out of all the people they can replace Lawler with, they chose Booker T?

Black guy. Was a contestant on the original NXT, I think, but has since become an interviewer/commentator. He's pretty good.

Aww c'mon, Booker's an awesome guy to have there. He botches everytime he opens his mouth! and everything he says gets to sound funny, which is always better than having to listen to Michael Cole and JBL for nearly a decade now.

Booker T really sucks at his job... but I guess so did Jerry...

I think JBL and Booker might be too much. JBL has a very passionate and open when of commentating and he made end up arguing all the time with Booker...and considering Booker makes zero sense 90% of the time, it might be infuriating to listen too.

Still, at least Lawler's gone I guess.
