The Michael Jackson Estate’s thirty-eight year long relationship with BMI will continue. BMI announced today that the Estate has renewed their partnership with the company, which covers public performances of all of Jackson’s songs.
“We are pleased to announce our continued representation of Michael’s extraordinary and vast catalogue,” said BMI president and CEO Mike O’Neill. “Since 1976, we’ve had the privilege of licensing his works and we’re honored to continue this relationship with his estate.”
BMI also announced that Taylor Swift, Pink and Maroon 5 have also renewed their deals with the company. BMI counts over 650,000 songwriters, composers and publishers among their membership.
