DreamWorks Animation has announced that the release date for Kung Fu Panda 3 is being moved back several months. The release date for the sequel has now been shifted from December 2015 to March 2016.
Originally, Kung Fu Panda 3 was due out December 23, 2015. Instead, the film will now be released on March 18, 2016. The release date has been moved away from Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, which is set for a December 18, 2015 release date.
Continuing on his now legendary adventures of awesomeness, Po must face two hugely epic, but very different threats: one supernatural and the other a little closer to home. This chapter in the continuing adventures of Kung Fu Panda is directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who also helmed the worldwide hit Kung Fu Panda 2 and features a script by series writers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger.
Jack Black returns as the voice of Po in the film along with Gary Oldman, Dustin Hoffman, David Cross, Angelina Jolie, Michelle Yeoh, Mads Mikkelsen, Danny McBride, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, James Hong, and Bryan Cranston.
