The crowd is alive and electric as Dante and Akira stand across the ring, staring each other down. This isn't the first time they've faced off - in fact Dante was one of the two men Akira beat to win the Cruiser-X Championship, but with two men as unpredictable and versatile as this there's still no way for the fans to know what is about to happen. Akira stands in his corner slowly taking his belt off from around his waist as Dante talks trash across the ring while being checked for foreign objects. Sanu finishes checking the Crucifixtionist, allowing Dante to walk to the centre of the ring and loudly insult and bait Akira. Sanu starts checking Akira for objects as Dante steps forward towards Akira, until finally something he says strikes a nerve. Akira lurches forward and tosses the belt as hard as he can, launching it into Dante's face with enough force to knock him off his feet.

*DING DING DING!*

The crowd cheers on Akira as he marches over to the fallen Dante and drives a boot down into his back a few times, knocking the wind out of him as he tries to get up. Dante stumbles to the corner where The Spartan wastes no time lighting him up with alternating chops to the chest and palm strikes to the side of the jaw, knocking his opponent loopy as eighty thousand fans roar at the sight of Dante Cross getting the piss beaten out of him. With his opponents chest now bright red Akira grabs Dante and snapmares him down to the mat, facing the opposite corner. He charges across the ring and slams back first into the turnbuckle while raising his arm up, signalling for the sliding lariat which has knocked off a fair few opponents over the recent weeks. He runs back and slides down, but Dante smartly gets out of the way and rolls to the floor to catch his breath. The fans boo as Dante walks around the walk glaring at Akira, who responds by cracking a rare smile and motioning for Dante to get back in and fight. Ryu Sanu starts his count, and at five Dante jumps onto the apron. Akira backs off, and at seven Dante returns to the inside of the ring. The two men move forward and Dante motions to lock up, which The Black Heart Warrior looks to reciprocate. Just before contact Dante dives down low and past Akira, hooking his trunks with one hand and his knee pad with the other to hold him down to the mat in position for a pin. Not seeing the illegal leverage Sanu drops to the mat and starts his count, which Akira barely beats as he kicks out at 2.9 to the relief of the crowd. Akira rolls through to his knees, where he promptly gets kicked in the jaw by Dante and dropped down onto his face. Dante walks around over the prone Akira, yelling at him and insulting him as he struggles to his feet. Grabbing him by the hair, the challenger forces the champ back to the ropes and whips him across the ring, allowing him to dropkick his leg out from under him on the rebound. Akira does almost a full flip forward and lands sitting down as Dante rolls backwards, puts his body over Akira, and transitions seamlessly from the dropkick right into a guillotine choke! Dante grins as Akira gets his legs up and slowly manages to push himself up, and the smirk is quickly wiped away from his opponents face when Akira manages to deadlift him up from the ground and bridge over backwards, planting Dante with a northern lights suplex! Sanu starts his count and Dante manages to get a shoulder up at about two.

Cedar: And that sort of move is why Akira Kobayashi hasn't lost a match since the King of Xtreme finals!

Miles: Yeah, but we're only just getting warmed up here - Cross still has a lot left in the tank.

Akira grabs Cross by the hair and pulls him up to his feet before shoving him backwards into the corner. Once agai nhe goes for a chop, but this time Dante ducks under and shoves Akira back into the turnbuckle. Dante drives his palm into Akira's chest with as much force as he can muster, creating a lot slapping sound that echoes through Ford Field like a gunshot. Despite the force of the strike it barely seems to phase The Spartan, who responds by shoving Dante back, pulling himself out of the corner, and beckoning him to have another go. Once again Dante throws a chop, and again it barely phases Akira. The crowd laugh as Akira slaps his own chest mockingly, giving Dante another shot. This time the former XWA pure champion throws a kick into Akira's chest, which makes the Japanese warrior flinch and take a step back. He then fires back with a kick of his own, sending Dante stumbling towards the centre of the ring. Now truly fired up Akira gives chase and starts slamming his kickpads into Dante's chest again and again, forcing him into the corner back first. Each strike seems to hit louder than the last as Akira does what he does best and kicks the crap out of Dante, laying in over a dozen kicks until finally his opponent drops down to a seated position. With Dante down Akira runs back across the ring to the corner, hits the turnbuckle, and charges back across. he dives low, nailing Dante with a sliding lariat that ends with Akira hurtling through the ropes and to the floor were he barely manages to land on his feet and keep his balance. He stumbles over to the crowd barrier where a few fans slap him on the back and sing his praises, although Akira doesn't respond back. He takes his time to catch his breath as inside the ring Dante pulls himself up, stumbling around like a punch drunk maniac that can barely keep his footing. In an uncharacteristic move Akira spends far too much time with his eyes off his opponent, giving Dante time to set himself up in the centre of the ring. Despite being dazed and in pain Dante fixes his sights on Akira, who is outside the ring perpendicular to Dante, albeit with a turnbuckle between them. Not one to be deterred Dante charges forward, grabs the turnbuckle, and flips forward over it, sending himself hurtling down onto the unaware Akira with a suicidal senton! He crashes into the Pacific Rim Nightmare, slamming him against the metal barricade as both men go down to the floor howling in pain. A "holy shit" chant breaks out as Ryu Sanu goes to the floor to check on both men, still not administering the count.

Cedar: OH MY LORD!

Sanu spends a few seconds outside the ring before climbing back in and finally starting the count, at which point Dante gets to his knees and grabs Akira by the hair. With champions advantage in play Dante has no choice but to heave Akira up and shove him into the ring, which takes him until the count of five. Akira rolls across the canvas onto his back as Dante climbs onto the apron and then the top rope, where he perches high above his opponent. After a slight pause he leaps into the air, flips over forward and plants himself back first into Akira's gut with the senton he calls original sin. Akira writhes around on the mat clutching his gut as Dante dives on him, hooking the legs for a short two count. The crowd boos as Dante sits up and yells at Sanu to count faster, before getting to his feet and waiting for Akira to get up. Dante steps in to meet Akira in an attempt to remain in control, but gets cut off by Akira lurching forward and hitting him with a headbutt square in the chest in a style reminiscent of Zinedine Zidane! The crowd pops as Dante flops to the canvas like a fish out of water and Akira steps back, letting out a yell as he regains himself. Seeing that Akira could come hurtling in like a freight train at any moment Dante pulls himself up, clutching his chest as he does. He takes a step back as Akira charges in before leaping up, spinning, and catching his opponent with a horrifying spin kick he calls the end of sin. Despite the force of the strike the Osaka native doesn't leave his feet and instead staggers into the corner wile clutching his skull, trying to keep himself up for just long enough to even the odds. Dante pulls himself off the mat to his knees as Akira runs out of the corner and dives forward, once again nearly ripping his opponents head off with a brutal sliding lariat! The crowd roars as the two men fall prone to the mat side by side, both rocked by sickening strikes and both unable to make the all important cover! Slowly but surely the two wrestlers pull themselves up, both crawling to opposite corners as they do so to regain some composure. Akira is the first to fully recover, giving him the chance to spring across the ring at Dante. He throws an arm up looking for yet another lariat, but this times Dante rolls away and allows Akira to slam chest first into the turnbuckle. With the champ stumbling backwards Dante leaps up, springboard off of the second rope, floats over, and catches Akira with a spectacular flipping DDT that drives the back of his skull into the canvas.

Cedar: DDC! DDC!

Dante hooks Akira's leg on impact and screams at Sanu to count, netting himself a two count before Akira can break free. The Black Heart Warrior rolls over onto his face while clutching the back of his head, signalling for Dante to follow up by dropping a knee right down onto the exact spot Akira is holding. The crowd boos once again as Dante stands up and starts stomping down on Akira's head, trying to scramble his brains to the point Akira is forced to roll out of the ring to the floor. Dante wastes no time in following Akira, grabbing him, and throwing him back into the ring to prevent him getting his head straight. Dante stays on the offence as Akira rises to his knees, locking in a sleeper hold reminiscent of the one Akira used on Rob Chapman the previous week. He squeezes tight, trying to cut off the flow of blood to the brain and daze Akira enough that he can follow up with more offence. Akira fights to his feet and moves forward to the corner, allowing him to grab the top ropes as he drops to his knees. Sanu starts his count, forcing Dante to break the hold at the count of four, but instead of completely backing off Dante grabs the top ropes, jumps up to the second, and plants a double stomp into the back of Akira's head! Akira goes completely limp as the soles of Dante's boot crack off of his head, leaving him dangling in the ropes with his eyes closed as the crowd boos. As Ryu Sanu yells at Akira asking if he's OK the Crucifixtionist climbs out onto the apron, lining himself up down from where Akira's head is hanging over like a prisoner on the executioner's block. A sadistic look spreads across Dante's lips as he runs forward, jumps, and plants a double footed dropkick into the side of Akira's skull. The impact of the strike sends The Black Heart Warrior reeling back and down to the canvas, one hand holding his head as the other lies on the mat completely limp. He mouths that he's OK to Sanu in both Japanese and English as Dante crawls back into the ring and covers, although thanks to Akira's foot being on the ropes the ref doesn't start his count. A frustrated Dante slams his hand into the mat before grabbing Akira by the arm and pulling him up, putting him in position for a standard DDT in the dead centre of the ring. He halts for a second, looking around the packed arena to take in the fact that he's about to win the Cruiser-X title on the grandest stage of them all - an act of narcissism that proves costly as Akira shoots his arms down, wraps them around Dante's leg, sidesteps slightly, and then takes him over onto the back of his neck with a sheer drop tear drop suplex!

Miles: He almost had him finished! Damnit!

Cedar: What a counter!

Akira once again rolls across the ring, knowing that with his head in the state it's in self preservation is the most important thing right now. He pulls himself up using the ropes once more and motions for Dante to get to his feet, choosing to lie in wait for his opponent. Dante gets up to a vertical base while doubled over with his back to Akira, and in an act of retaliation Akira runs forward, spins around, and slams the point of his elbow into the side of Dante's head! The crowd let out a shocked "ooo" as Dante stumbles away and flips through the middle and top rope, landing on his feet and then collapsing against the crowd barricade, his eyes glazed over and his legs about as stable as as match sticks under boulders. Akira backs away to the ropes, his eyes fixed on Dante. He patiently waits for his opponent to turn to face him, and in a rare moment of agility cashes in on his advantage by running to the ropes, ducking, and flying between the middle and top cable to annihilate Dante's jaw with an elbow suicida! The sound of Akira's elbow smashing into the side of Dante's mouth ring out like a tribal drum as both men once again hit the floor, with Akira barely managing to tuck his head in to avoid slamming his skull into the crowd barricade! Another "holy shit" echoes out, more for Akira doing an uncharacteristic dive than the actual move, as The Spartan grabs his opponent, pulls him up, and rolls him into the ring. Akira slides in after Dante and covers him, winning a two count before his opponent can wrestle free. Dante remains prone on the mat with a trickle of blood coming out of his mouth as Akira pulls himself up and staggers away, once again clutching his head in a way that sparks a debate on commentary as to whether he may have a concussion. Akira takes his time to recover as Dante does the same, allowing for a short break in the fight so everybody involved, including the fans, can catch their breath. Finally the two men get up to their feet and go to war once again, with Akira coming out of the corner throwing more elbows into Dante's jaw. He backs his opponent up and then goes for a big lariat, which Dante ducks under and counters with a high angled dropkick that connects with the base of Akira's neck and doubles him over. Despite not hitting the back of the skull like he'd have liked to, Dante follows up on the advanatge by running at the ropes to the side of Akira and returning with a swinging neckbreaker that puts Akira down once more. Cover, and again a two count, but this time Akira's kick-out seems slightly more desperate. The crowd is close to boiling over now, as the man they've supported all match slowly seems to be losing control.

Cedar: Akira looks to be in a bad way, and with his physical style you've got to question what he can do now.

Miles: He's supposed to be the Cruiser-X Champion, how about he lives up to it?

Dante once again grabs a handful of Akira's hair and yanks him up to his knees with a demented look in his eyes. With Akira at waist level Dante knees him in the face twice, runs at the ropes, then comes back with a step-up enziguri that once again cracks his boot off the back of Akira's head. He slumps down to all fours as Dante pulls himself up, now firmly in control of the action. He mockingly pushes the sole of his boot into the side of Akira's head a few times before grabbing him and pulling him up into the corner. With Akira leaned against the buckle Dante runs alongside the ropes, bounces back, and lands a leaping kick into the side of Akira's head. The Spartan's eyes roll back in his head as he slumps down slightly, but Dante grabs him by the hair and keeps him upright. "You stay right there, motherfucker" he hisses, before mockingly slapping Akira on the cheek and walking to the opposite corner of the ring. Dante raises his arms up to a chorus of boos then runs back at Akira, who has now managed to set his eyes straight. Dante leaps up for a flying elbow but Akira sidesteps, leaving his opponent to slam chest first into the corner. He stumbles backwards to Akira, who ducks his head down, wraps an arm around his opponents waist, and dumps him over backwards with a backdrop driver! The crowd roars as Akira keeps the hold in place for a pin, getting a 2.5 count before Dante can wriggle free. Akira pops up to his feet with fire in his eyes, yelling at Dante to get up, and when he does he gets met with a vicious elbow to the jaw followed by a quick left jab with an open fist that stumbles him. With Dante on shaky legs Akira hooks his arm down, ducks his head under, and continues his onslaught with a wrist-clutch exploder suplex! With Dante down and the crowd at boiling point Akira gets up to his feet and backs to the corner, his legs still shaky and his eyes still glossy. He stares at Dante as he tries to get up, lying in wait until The Crucifixtionist reaches his feet. Akira charges in at Dante but gets caught with a spinning kick to the gut which doubles him over. Dante leaps over Akira, grabbing him and pulling him down in a sunset flip. The move catches Akira off guard, allowing Dante to nearly pick up a three count. Akira and Dante reach their feet at the same time and run at each other with their arms up, doubling down on lariats which take both men off their feet and down to the canvas!

Cedar:It's all to fight for here!

The crowd gets to their feet and show their appreciation for both men as Ryu Sanu starts his count, reaching four as both men get to their knees. Dante squares up on his knees as though inviting Akira to throw elbow, but for the first time in his time in XWA Akira decides against it and walks over to the ropes to pull himself up. Seeing this Dante gets to his feet and runs at Akira, who ducks down and flips Dante out onto the apron. He quickly turns and throws an elbow out, connecting with Dante's nose and dropping him to a sitting position. Akira climbs through the ropes to the apron, grasping the top rope as he does to ensure he doesn't go off balance and fall to the floor. He grabs Dante by the hair and starts to pull him up but gets caught by an eye poke, which Ryu Sanu is quick to scold Dante for. Despite being admonished Dante pushes the advantage by kicking Akira in the ribs. He backs off a step then goes for a big kick to Akira's head, which gets blocked with an open palm and countered with a knee to the gut. Dante doubles over slightly, giving Akira the chance to slam an elbow into his jaw and then knee him in the gut again. Dante doubles over fully, at which point Akira backs up towards the turnbuckle just a few steps behind him and climbs up to the second rope. Unlike Dante earlier, who hesitated on the DDT and missed out on the potential kill shot, Akira leaps forward and plants two feet on the back of his opponents head, curb stomping him face first into the apron with a sickening thud. Dante goes completely limp, one leg hanging outside the ring, as Akira spills down to the floor and a chant for him breaks out. After giving himself time to recover Akira rolls into the ring and grabs Dante by the arm, dragging him into the ring and hooking his head down in position for the brainbuster. To the joy of the crowd Akira hoists Dante upside down, lets him stall for a second, then dumps him down on the back of his head with a nasty brainbuster! Akira rolls over and throws an arm over his opponent, finally getting the three count and retaining his belt!

Xtremania. The place where stars are born and legends are made. Tonight two men face off for the coveted Cruiser-X Championship in a one on one competition. Two men who have what it takes to reach that pinnacle of success, to reach the top of the mountain and claim their place among the greats of the business...Least, that dream still lives in one of our superstars tonight. Akira Kobayashi, the young lion out of Japan has proven as of late why his stock has continued to rise in this company. He's beaten all comers, one of whom is the man he faces tonight. A man who was once set to reach that fabled mountain top, to hold the greatest prize in all of XWA history. But like many dreams, they fade in the night only to be remembered in reminisce on the morrow. Dante Cross has reached many a time only for his fingers to grasp but air. Some say he has grown content. Complacent with his position in this world. Others say the only thing that drives him is attaining the success he has long dreamed for.

On the grandest stage of them all, the Son of Sin stands across the ring from the Pacific Rim Nightmare. The referee for the match checks both men for illegal entities on their persons before calling for the belt. The referee raises the belt in the air, presenting it to the fans in attendance and those watching at home.

Cedar: That's what it's all about folks, championship gold.

Miles: That's not what the fuck it's about Ted! It's about beating the other guy's face in and getting a shiny belt as a consolation prize since you didn't kill him!

Cedar: Look at his eyes Joey, look at Dante's eyes.

Miles: He looks creepy as shit like always.

Indeed the Son of Sin's eyes were fixed on Akira, the malice protruding from him was palpable. Dante's hands held the corner ropes on either side of him as he bobbed slightly, his body swaying to and fro. Akira, for his part, held an expression of stoic form as he paced just so in his corner of the ring, glancing over at Cross every so often. The referee passed off the title belt and called for the bell.

DING! DING! DING!

The match is underway and both men remove themselves from their respective corners. With each step to the center of the ring, Dante's composure seems to grow more rabid, while Kobayashi maintains himself in true. They meet in the middle of the ring and keep coming. There are but inches seperating Cross and Kobayashi and the two men are lessening that gap with each step. The crowd is cheering as the hype grows when these two men press heads with one another. Cross' mouth twitching just slightly. His fingers clench and unclench, grasping air. Their eyes, Kobayashi and Cross, their eyes are locked into the other, as if to burn through the opponent's skull. Neither man has blinked. Neither man has said a word. Dante tilts his head, leans forward...and kisses Akira.

Miles: I knew that emo faggot was gay! I fucking knew it!

A grin crosses Dante's lips as Kobayashi steps back in surprise and rubs the feeling of Dante from his lips. The crowd is going crazy, as if Cross had just pulled the most insane move they'd ever seen.

“WHAT-THE-FUCK! WHAT-THE-FUCK!”

Kobayashi spits and looks up to see a forearm coming to his face. Cross took the opportunity to strike in the confusion and catches Akira with another forearm shot to the face before the Spartan could react. He staggers the Warlord and is quick to grab him, pulling Akira into a side headlock and with a whip, snaps him over and to the mat, but in the move, Akira reaches under Cross' leg and is able to get the Son of Sin's shoulders onto the mat. The referee goes down for a count, but Cross rolls out before he can slap his hand on the canvas. He slides backwards on his hands and knees along the mat looking over at Akira as the Warrior gazes back at him, himself slowly rising to his feet. The Son of Sin still carries the smirk upon his face as he pushes the hair out of his eyes, getting to his feet. Akira offers his arm for a lock up but Cross waves it away, shaking his head. Dante begins to move to the side, to which Akira moves to the other, both men circling the other in the ring now. Cross crouches forward and feints for Akira's leg, to which Kobayashi kicks out in reaction, but Dante swivels around and goes to the ground with a sweep to Akira's other leg. Kobayashi's leg is taken out from under him and the Crucifixionist flips for a Standing Shooting Star. Akira rolls out of the way and Cross sees this midmove and lands on his feet. Akira, still on his knees, has little time to react as Cross comes forward with a side kick to Akira's chest. The sound resonates throughout the arena as it strikes flush. He brings his leg back and strikes again, yet now, Akira catches the leg and drives his elbow hard into the side of the Son of Sin's knee, causing the Crucifixionist to cry out in pain. Akira goes to do it once more, but Cross uses his other leg to kick away and scramble from the Warrior. He falls to the mat, clutching his leg, and now Akira sees what he needs to do. Akira rolls forward on the mat and leaps onto the fallen Son of Sin, but Cross brings his legs up and heaves Kobayashi up and over. Akira hits the ropes back first, bouncing off and righting himself in the air to land on his feet. Cross comes up behind him with a Dropkick to his back that sends Akira through the ropes and out to ringside. With a glance to the outside, Cross runs to the opposite ropes and comes off for momentum as he runs across the ring and clears the ropes with a Five Star Senton, leaping over the ropes in a roll and landing on Kobayashi as he's getting to his feet. The momentum of the move sends Cross tumbling to the steel railing at ringside and with that, he uses to them to get to his feet. He looks over at Akira out on the mat and pushes himself off of the railing to continue the assault. With a kick to the back he keeps the Warrior on the ground as the referee begins to make his count. Another kick and now he grabs Akira, bringing him to his feet. Cross puts Akira's arm behind the back and his own arm around Akira's neck, lifts him up and plants him on the mat back first. Akira holds his arm as he lies on the floor after the move. Cross takes the time to roll into the ring and out again, restarting the count. Akira is on his hands and knees now, shaking out his arm. Cross comes over and moves to bring him up, but Akira knocks away his opponent's hands and hits Cross with an open handed strike that stumbles the Son of Sin. Cross comes back around with a yell and a straight kick to the Warrior's face. His opponent dazed on the floor, Cross picks Akira up and drags him over to the ring steps. Dante places Akira's right arm upon the steel steps and begins an unceremonious stomping session on the arm.

Cedar: Cross has targeted the arm of Akira and that's smart. Without the arm it'll be hard for the man to pull up many of his moves in his arsenal, much less the Brainbuster.

Miles: Forget that Ted, Cross is beating the guy's arm like it finger banged his mom!

The referee beckons the Salvationist to bring the match back into the ring and he obliges, choosing to leave Kobayashi out on the outside. Slowly, but sure, Akira makes his way back into the ring and Dante gives him room to rise once more. It is now Cross who offers the tie up and Akira accepts. The two men wrestle for control and Akira, being the stronger and slightly larger of the two, looks to have the upper hand—til Cross frees one hand from the lock and strikes Akira just under the elbow of the right arm. It's just enough to sway things in Cross' favor as he maneuvers around behind Akira, pulling the man's arm with him. He wrenches the arm and Kobayashi reacts with his left, sending back a stiff elbow to the Son of Sin's skull that falters him. Then another. A series of elbow strikes follow that leave Cross dazed and confused and Akira's arm free once more. Kobayashi spins around and swings a strong Lariat that takes the staggering Son of Sin of his feet. He tries to shake off the pain from his right arm before continuing his attack on the Salvationist. Akira goes to the mat with Cross and is sure to begin pummeling him with strikes. He sends out his left and then a right. A right that is caught by the Son of Sin. Cross traps the arm under his pit, brings up his legs, and pulls Akira's head down, quick to cinch in a Gogoplata submission.

Cross: ASK HIM! Come on ref, ASK HIM!

The referee goes to the mat and asks Akira if he'd like to submit, if he wants to end the pain. Can it withstand it? Akira lets out a gurgled cry that the referee holds as a strong no. This only makes Cross tighten the hold even more. Amid his cries for the referee to keep asking, he addresses Akira himself.

Cross: ASK HIM! A—Akira! AKIRA TELL HIM! TELL HIM!

Akira is beating his fist against the mat in frustration and defiance against the pain. He then puts the hand to good use, placing it behind Cross' back and with the strength that remains of him, lifts the Son of Sin from the mat. Cross tightens the hold and wriggles, leaning back and bringing Akira back to the floor.

Okay I'm not finishing this. I just can't write against this guy. His character is just not compatible with me and I'm going to lose anyways. I need to face another high flyer or some shit.

DING! DING DING!

Akira can stand it no longer. He taps out and sucks Dante's dick while he's down there. They close the night by taking turns fucking each other in the ass to the disgust and astonishment on the fans. Joey Miles can be seen jacking off as he stands on the announce table. Show gets canceled.
