The 3DS LL (the Japanese name for the 3DS XL) will be ending production soon in Japan.

The line is being discontinued in Japan following the release of the New 3DS LL, which became available in October in Japan. New of the handheld's discontinuation comes from Nintendo's website, where the page for the 3DS LL has the notification, "ending production soon."

The New 3DS does not have a release date for North America yet (outside of an ambiguous 2015).

"New 3DS" is still the worst console name ever. Even worse than the Wii U.

Cant be any worse than Xbox One.
