TNA Entertainment today announced tickets will be on sale beginning Dec. 5 for three consecutive televised events, Jan. 7 – 9, emanating from the legendary Manhattan Center in New York City for IMPACT WRESTLING’s debut on Destination America.

“With the explosive sold-out crowds in New York City this past summer, returning to the Manhattan Center for three huge events as IMPACT WRESTLING debuts on Destination America was an easy decision,” said Dixie Carter.

Tickets for the Jan. 7 – 9 televised events will go on sale beginning Friday, Dec. 5 at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at ticketmaster.com and by phone at 800.745.3000. Starting at just $20, tickets make great holiday gifts.

Are they actually making money on those shows? Ring of Honor doesn't run shows anymore. They were getting sell outs but The Manhattan Center was charging them too much money.

I'm not sure, but it's never been TNA's focus to make money on live events, so I'd guess... probably not? I'm not sure. TNA makes more money off add revenue (or did, anyway) than ROH at a guess so maybe they were breaking even.

I think TNA is taking a loss here so that they can try look good. They were able to sell out The New York shows I guess this year. With all the negative news they been getting for months they can't start off 2015 with a half full arena.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is for TNA to run the first episode of Impact Wrestling on Destination America as a live broadcast, or on a one or two hour tape delay.

The plan depends on Destination America confirming the 9 pm time slot, that Impact Wrestling recently moved to on Spike, which is expected. As noted, TNA will be taping shows at the Manhattan Center in New York City on January 7th-9th, the first broadcasts to air on Destination America.

TNA was looking at a few locations for a December 15th taping, but couldn’t finalize any dates until the Destination America deal was completed, and timing became an issue.
