It was just revealed back in September that Matt Demon and Paul Greengrass were coming back to the Bourne franchise, and now we have confirmation that it begins filming with him next year. While talking with Ben Affleck to E! News, Damon confirmed that he is returning for the July 15th, 2016 film.

“Yes, [it begins filming] next year,” Damon told the site “It’ll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. [Director] Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that’s all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes.”

As previously reported, the film is taking the release date originally assigned to Jeremy Renner’s next Bourne universe film as Aaron Cross. That film is still in development and will release at a later date.
