According to TMZ, War Machine attempted to hang himself in his jail cell this week. As you may recall, the MMA fighter is facing a huge list of charges including attempted murder for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Christie Mack and her friend Corey Thomas.
According to law enforcement sources, an officer was walking by the fighter’s jail cell in Clark County Jail in Las Vegas at 9:30 PM on Tuesday when he saw War Machine sitting on the ground with his feet up on the bunk bed. The officer called to him but didn’t get a response, so he went into the cell and found Machine had a piece of linen around his neck that was tied to the leg of the bed. The officer cut the line and removed it, after which War Machine began breathing regularly and tried to speak
The fighter is currently in a medical isolation cell on suicide watch. Officers reportedly found what appeared to be a suicide note.
