MATCH 3.) Dante Cross vs. Akira Kobayashi Empty
PostSubject: Re: MATCH 3.) Dante Cross vs. Akira Kobayashi   MATCH 3.) Dante Cross vs. Akira Kobayashi EmptySun Aug 31, 2014 11:01 am

"Stay Here" booms out through the arena as Akira Kobayashi makes his way down the ramp to a positive reaction from the crowd. Coming off of only his second XWA loss, Akira seems slightly less confident than in his previous matches, possibly even still banged up and sore from his defeat the previous week. He stops halfway down the ramp, looking out at the crowd for a few seconds. Akira starts to move forward again, but after only a few steps Dante Cross comes flying in from behind, nailing Akira in the back of his right leg with a two footed dropkick. Akira crumples down onto the ground, clutching his knee as the crowd boos Dante's sneak attack. The Crucifixionist wastes no time concerning himself with the audience and instead stays on Akira, laying in a series of hard stomps to the right knee once again.

Cedar: What a classless sneak attack!

Miles: This sneaky Jap spends two months kicking people and doesn't expect somebody to go Tonya Harding on his ass?

Akira tries to stand up as Dante walks around him, putting himself between Akira and the ring. Ryu Sanu yells at Dante to take it to the ring, but with the bell not having been rung he is powerless. Dante waits for Akira to stand up and then hits a low spinning kick into his leg, buckling Akira down onto one knee. Powerless to defend himself, Akira can only brace himself as Dante winds up, spins through the air and nails him with the Return To Sin Kick. Akira slumps down, leaning against the barricade as fans stood over him yell for him to stand up. Dante doesn't make a show of anything, proving he has no interest in entertaining the crowd as he lays in another set of stomps to Akira's knee. Akira rolls onto his front, prompting Dante to grab him by the hair and drag him up to his feet. Akira fights back, throwing an elbow that catches Dante in the jaw and staggers him. With Dante on the back foot Akira wins up for another elbow, but again Dante goes with a low dropkick to the knee, sending Akira staggering away down the ramp towards the ring. Attempting to make the fight a wrestling match instead of a beat down, Akira rolls into the ring, forcing Dante to follow him and finally starting the match as Ryu Sanu calls for the bell. Dante pushes Akira back into the corner as the crowd boos, clearly unhappy to see Dante employing such a slow paced offence. With Akira in the corner Dante mockingly slaps him across the face, showing of his confidence. Akira responds with a slap of his own which seems to knock the daylight out of Dante, sending him stumbling backwards in a daze. Akira follows up with a trio of kicks across Dante's chest, each provoking a round of cheers from the fans. Dante falls backwards, clutching his chest as he goes down to one knee. Instead of following up with a fourth kick, however, Akira steps back, clutching his knee once again.

Cedar: It appears Dante Cross's sneak attack worked - Akira Kobayashi's already having issues with his knee.

Seeing his opponent struggling Dante gets back up and charges in again, for a third time dropping low and hitting a dropkick. The crowd boos loudly, having been denied a spectacular soccer kick to the face in exchange for yet another low-thrills dropkick, but their boos seem to do nothing to dissuade Dante from his tactics. Akira rolls from the ring to the floor, wincing as he limps out into the aisle. On the inside Dante lines up, ending up stood in the middle of the ring in perfect position for a suicide dive. The crowd's volume level starts to rise as Dante looks out of the ring at Akira, who seems oblivious to what's going on. Dante runs towards the ropes at full speed, but denies the crowd as he slides out of the ring and blasts Akira's leg with another vicious kick, this one while remaining on a vertical base. The Black Heart Warrior appears uncharacteristically vulnerable as he staggers to one side and leans on the apron, trying to climb back into the ring. Dante doesn't allow it though, instead choosing to grab Akira's right leg, lift it up, and then lay in a big elbow across the knee as Ryu Sanu starts the count. Deciding to get back into the ring, Dante grabs Akira's hair in one hand and trunks in the other before launching him backfirst into the crowd barricade, before rolling back in under the bottom ropes. The crowd loudly boo Dante, who's only response is to lean in the corner and gaze out at the arena. Akira struggles up to his feet as alternating "Let's go Akira" and "Dante sucks" chants ring out. At the count of four Akira reaches the ring and slides in at the corner opposite to Dante, prompting The Crucifixionist to make his way across the ring towards his opponent. Akira gets up to his feet and hops forward, catching Dante off guard with a forearm across the face. The crowd pops loudly as Akira tries to mount some offence in the form of alternating chops and slaps to Dante's chest, forcing him back into the ropes. Akira grabs Dante by the arm and uses his strength to whip him across the ring. On the rebound Dante goes to slide between Akira's legs on his front but before he can get through Akira drops down, landing sat on Dante's lower back. Akira wraps his hands around Dante's head in a face lock, creating a make-shift camel clutch move which wrenches away at Dante's back at the worst possible angle.

Cedar: He won't make Dante Cross tap this early, but anybody can tell you a spine shouldn't bend that way!

Dante yells out as Akira interlocks his hands, keeping the hold in to allow his knee time to recover just as much as to hurt Dante. Seeing that the ropes in front of him are too far away, Dante starts clawing his way backwards, using his free hands and feet to make his way close to the ropes. To the chagrin of the crowd Dante manages to hook a foot around the bottom rope, forcing Ryu Sanu to start his count. Akira Kobayashi breaks the hold, stands up, and immediately plants both his feet into Dante's back with a double stomp, to the delight of the crowd. Akira grimaces slightly as he lands on Dante, showing that his knee is still in pain from Dante's sneak attack. Dante scurries up to his feet, clutching his back with both hands as Akira follows him, backing Dante into the corner. Dante stops and tries to stand his ground, receiving a shoulder barge into the turnbuckle for his troubles. For maybe the first time in his XWA career Akira Kobayashi plays to the crowd, raising an open palm and looking out to the crowd for approval. After taking in the cheers for a second Akira goes to work on Dante with alternating left and right palm strikes to the chest, shoulders and face. The force of the strikes makes Dante cower down into a seated position, at which point Akira finishes off his flurry with a vicious kick into Dante's chest. The sound of kickpad against flesh echoes throughout the arena as red marks well up on Dante's chest from Akira's strikes. Akira moves in to try and pull Dante up by his hair, but in leaning over leaves himself vulnerable to a swift kick to the inside of his leg. Once again Dante goes back to working the leg, landing kick after kick to Akira's knee from a seated position. Akira limps back to try and defend himself, giving Dante time to get up and run after him. Dante jumps, nailing Akira in the jaw with a high boot. Dante lands on his feet and looks up, only to be surprised by the sight of Akira Kobayashi, still on his feet. Akira rubs his jaw in pain and, almost as if to say "this is how it's done", connects with a jumping enziguri. Dante falls to the mat holding the back of his head as Akira rolls into a seated position on the mat, his feet down by Dante's head. Akira stays sat still as Dante lifts his head off the mat, oblivious to parts of the crowd laughing in anticipation. Dante finally looks up as he reaches his knees, only now seeing Akira sat in front of him. Akira paint brushes Dante in the face with his left boot, knocking Dante down onto his back again as the crowd laughs.

Miles: Cocky little prick.

Cedar: Notice he used his left foot for that. Dante's offence might not be the most exciting, but it's clearly working, and he's taking away Akira Kobayashi's biggest weapon!

Akira grabs Dante's right foot as he stands up and turns him over onto his face while driving his right knee into the small of Dante's back, locking in a single legged crab. Akira leans all the way back, pushing his knee into Dante's spine while contorting his body like a piece of rubber. This time, with both legs off the ground and Akira's entire weight on him, Dante Cross has no way to crawl away, and once again his spine is being stretched into a position it really shouldn't be in. Dante Cross yells out in pain as he tries to push up on the mat, to at the very least force Akira's knee off his back. Seeing Dante's attempt to get his knee out of his back Akira obliges - followed by laying in a series of stomps to the back of his head before going back to working the spine. The crowd roars as Akira leans back as far as he can, pulling Dante's body into a crescent shape. In a last ditch escape attempt Dante kicks his free leg up, nailing Akira directly in the nose. Akira valiantly tries to keep the hold locked in, but three more boots to the face encourage him to toss Dante's leg down and step away, holding his nose. Dante rolls across the ring, under the ropes, and sits on the apron, trying to catch a break as he winces from the pain in his back. Akira Kobayashi has other ideas, however, as he charges in and hits a baseball slide while sends Dante flying forward off the apron and into the crowd barricade, much to the joy of the crowd. Akira slides out onto the floor, moving noticeably slower and more carefully than at the start of the match. Dante slowly gets up, using the crowd barricade for support, as Akira lines himself up and starts to stretch out his arm. Ryu Sanu's shouts to bring the match back into the ring are drowned out by the crowd growing in anticipation and letting out a loud "ooooo" sound. Akira patiently waits for Dante to get to his feet and then, when The Crucifixionist turns, charges in, turns, and hammers into the side of his head with a rolling elbow. The impact of the blow forces Dante to do a half turn and flip over the barricade into the crowd, who surround him and cheer as Akira follows him over. Akira grabs Dante by the back of his head and bundles him back over the barricade into the aisle, then promptly jumps over himself and rolls Dante back into the ring. Akira slides under the bottom ropes and hooks Dante's leg, getting a one count with the first pinfall attempt of the match.

Cedar: And that's the first time either man has gone for a pin so far.

Miles: Wow, thanks, no way I'd notice that myself!

Akira gets up to his knees, grabs Dante by his hair, and stands up, trying to pull his opponent up. Dante responds by again going for Akira's knee, this time by wrapping his arms around it, standing up, and nailing a dragon screw. Dante hurriedly covers, hooking the leg he dragged Akira down by,and gets a one count of his own. As Akira kicks out Dante stays latched onto his leg like a leech, intend on working away at it. He stands up over Akira while holding the leg up, laying in kicks to the back of the knee before slamming it down to the mat. The crowd yet again unleashes a torrent of boos of Dante as he reaches down and rips off Akira's knee pad before dropping a knee drop onto the now completely unprotected knee joint. Akira wails out in pain and kicks his left leg up, managing to hit Dante in the stomach hard enough to give himself time to regain himself. Hurriedly Akira gets up to his feet and composes himself in time to catch a kick aimed at his gut. With his foot planted in Akira's hands, Dante pushes up on it and in a great display of his athletic ability does a back flip. Unfortunately for Dante, Akira appears to be one step ahead of him. Right as he lands Dante receives a brutal lariat directly to the throat, flipping him head over heels so hard he lands on his face. The crowd explode as Akira raises up his arm and taps his elbow, signalling for a rolling elbow. As Dante tries to get up to his feet Akira stalks him, getting the crowd more and more excited. Dante gets to a vertical base and turns as Akira starts to turn and hold up his elbow. The crowd roars in unison, and then quickly deflate as Dante drops low and catches Akira with an inside cradle. Ryu Sanu drops down and starts to count, getting to two before Akira kicks out. A small smile spreads across Dante's face as he gets up, showing that The Crucifixionist takes at least some pride in pissing off the crowd by denying them the chance to see another rolling elbow. Dante takes the time to give Akira a receipt for his earlier facewash as he pushes the bottom of his boot up into Akira's face and shoves his head down against the mat, drawing a tidal wave of boos and jeers from the crowd. After soaking in the heat for a few seconds Dante leans down and picks Akira up in a headlock, trapping The Black Heart Warrior's head under his right arm while digging the knuckles of his left fists into his eye. As if woken up by the disrespect, Akira wraps his arms around Dante's waist and starts lifting him for a backdrop driver. He gets Dante up off the ground but The Crucifixionist manages to break free and turn in the air, landing on Akira in a crossbody style counter that makes his leg buckle and sends the Osaka native back-first onto the canvas in a pinning predicament. The suddenness of the move catches Akira off guard, and only just before Ryu Sanu counts for free does he manage to get a shoulder up.

Cedar: Close fall there, and it's getting clear that Kobayashi's knee is in pretty bad shape here.

Dante gets back to his feet quickly, knowing that with Akira's mobility compromised he can now dictate the pace and style of the match. Dante hoists Akira up, guides him to the centre of the ring and then puts him back down with a DDT, spiking Akira directly onto his skull. Instead of covering Dante positions Akira so his injured right leg is stuck out slightly, runs at the ropes, leaps onto the middle rope, and comes off with his corkscrew springboard moonsault variation he calls the Deadliest Moonsault Evermore. Dante lands directly on Akira's knee, causing The Black Heart Warrior to let out screams of pain which are barely audible under the mix of boos for Dante getting offence and cheers for the skill displayed by the manoeuvre. Dante covers, once again ensuring to hook the injured leg, and Akira barely manages to kick out before three. Dante punches the mat in frustration before grabbing Akira by his leg and dragging him closer to the corner. Hesitating slightly for a moment to grab his back and try to block out the pain from Akira's offence, Dante starts to climb the turnbuckle, facing out to the crowd. Dante stands up straight, takes a second to get his balance, clearly setting up for his signature corkscrew moonsault senton - The Crucifixion. Dante crouches slightly to prepare to perform The Crucifixion, at which point Akira Kobayashi manages to pull himself up and charge forward, nailing Dante in the back of the knee with a forearm strike. Dante slips and falls down crotch first onto the ringpost, which the majority of the crowd clearly enjoy. Their cheers only get louder when, slowly, Akira starts to ascend the turnbuckle behind Dante, ending up sat behind him. Desperately Dante starts throwing elbows back, landing the strikes on the side of Akira's head. The light shots from a bad angle don't do much to face The Black Heart Warrior, who throws an elbow of his own directly into the back of Dante's neck. The Crucifixtionist slumps over forward, allowing Akira to hook his own legs over the turnbuckle and grab Dante around the waist. The crowd starts a loud "fuck 'em up Akira fuck 'em up" chant, and Akira Kobayashi obliges as he falls backwards, launching Dante off the top rope and headfirst down into the mat with a spider German suplex! The crowd explodes as Akira screams out in pain and tries to pull himself back up to the top rope using his legs. Despite it probably being quicker and better for his hurt knee to simply get down and climb up aggain, Akira's fighting spirit (Or stupidity) along with the crowd' encouragement force him to lift himself back up into a sitting position using just his legs.

Cedar: Akira Kobayashi's got a lot of heart!

Miles: Akira Kobayashi's got shit for brains!

On the mat Dante has rolled over onto his stomach, his face screwed up in a look of pain as he holds the back of his neck. Above him Akira turns around on the corner to face him. He stops for a few seconds, looking down at Dante and weighing up his options. The crowd's "fuck 'em up Akira fuck 'em up" chants get even louder as The Black Heart Warrior stands up straight, glaring down at Dante Cross. He leaps up, tucks his legs, and then comes down on the small of Dante's back with a two footed diving stomp! The sound of Akira's boots slamming down into Dante is like a cannon firing, but it only just beats the volume of Akira yelling out in pain as his leg buckles and he rolls across the ring, yelling out in pain. Dante Cross similarly rolls across the canvas to the ropes while clutching his back, which now has two large boot imprints on it. Ryu Sanu loudly yells at both men if they can continue a few times in the chaos of the crowd cheering before starting the count. At about five Akira Kobayashi manages to pull himself up using the turnbuckle, while Dante Cross reaches his feet a few seconds after. Akira limps over to Dante, who despite having the mobility advantage appears to be in far more pain than Akira. After a forearm to the jaw while wobbles The Crucifixionist Akira grabs Dante and pulls him towards the middle of the ring, laying in a knee to his opponents gut as he does so. In a last ditch attempt to stay in the match Dante throws a forearm at Akira's chest, but thanks to now barely being able to stand up straight the strike does little but bounce off of Akira's chest. Twice more Dante throws forearms which barely move Akira. Letting out a loud roar, Akira headbutts Dante on the crown of his head. The two skulls colliding sounds like a pair of coconuts bouncing off of each other. Dante stumbles back and clutches his head while Akira remains rooted to the spot, using adrenaline to keep his bearings. Intent on finishing things Akira grabs Dante, pulls him in by the arm, and with all the strength he has remaining hoists him up and over with a wrist-clutch exploder suplex, dumping The Crucifixionist down onto the back of his head with a sickening thud. The crowd cheers on Akira as he drops down to his knees next to Dante and grabs him around the head from the side. On the opposite side of his opponent to where he would usually be, Akira hooks his left leg around Dante's right leg, tightens his grip and starts to wrench away, once again contorting and manipulating Dante's spine. By the time the crowd is able to get a "tap!" chant going, Dante has already stopped resisting and slaps his hand down three times, submitting and giving Akira Kobayashi the win!

MATCH 3.) Dante Cross vs. Akira Kobayashi Empty
PostSubject: Re: MATCH 3.) Dante Cross vs. Akira Kobayashi   MATCH 3.) Dante Cross vs. Akira Kobayashi EmptySun Aug 31, 2014 12:56 pm

Having made his return last week in a match against a similarly ring rusted Mark Storey in a hotly contested bout, Dante Cross looks to continue his winning form as he goes up against a budding upstart in XWA, Akira Kobayashi. This wrestler is known for his hard hitting style and holds a sense of honor about himself and about what a fight should be. It will be interesting to see how that plays out against the devious and unforgiving style of one Dante Cross, a man known for his dark intentions. This matchup will not only see a clash of opposing ideologies, but opposing styles as well as Kobayashi holds true to his Japanese roots and the strong style of wrestling that is the norm in the nation, while Cross is known to take to the air and put his body on the line to bring as much pain to his opponent as feasibly possible. It’s something that has gotten a good number of fans behind him over the years, some of whom can only chant his name under their breath, as the Son of Sin is not so beloved by the masses.

Indeed the chants are numerous and a mix of the roar of the night as the fans anticipate the upcoming match. The sound of Stay Here by Swans hits over the PA System and brings the fans to their feet as a cheer go up from the crowd. The music of Kobayashi is not too long followed by the man himself, Akira Kobayashi comes around the corner, the black towel draped over his head obscuring much of his face from the cameras and the fans. No doubt he is mentally preparing for the match ahead, though exactly what lies on the face of the man cannot be truly seen. Black drunks and knee pads are Akira’s wear, not a man of flare and vanity. Indeed his walk to the ring is of nothing of note as he takes the steps onto the apron and goes through the ropes. The towel still shrouding his appearance, Kobayashi sets himself up in the corner, holding the ropes as he stretches out before the match.

Brennisteinn by Sigur Ros begins to play and unlike last week, the confusion is gone and they are fully aware whom the theme belongs to, the early goings of boos and frowns from the fans evidence of that much. Before Cross appears, the camera catches a glance at a varying array of signs that feature the Son of Sin with words such as ‘Son of Shit’ and ‘Pray Away the Dante’, though there are also the signs of ‘Save Me Dante’ and ‘Crucify Me Cross!’—always the polarizing figure Dante Cross. When he does actually appear on the entrance stage, Dante Cross stands alone wearing dark red tights with a pair of white stripes running down the sides. The front of the tights feature a stylized version of his initials ‘DC’ surrounded by a runic pair of black angel wings thinly lined with red that stretch out from the crotch area outwards with the lower wing tips dipping just midways with the thighs of the Son of Sin. Black shin guards with deep red lining cover black boots. All quite a different attire than the superstar has previously donned in times past. Cross looks out at those in attendance, a single glancing view, before making his way down to the ring. His demeanor last week was questionable as to what he had going on about him, but now as Dante Cross comes down to the ring he looks…somewhat giddy. In a demented sort of way of course. Last week’s victory has perhaps put a pep in the step of the Son of Sin as many doubted Cross could keep Mark Storey down for the three count. He takes the steps into the ring and goes through the second rope, does a small circle of half the ring before plopping down in a corner and staring out at the entrance stage waiting for his opponent, something that hasn’t changed.

DING! DING! DING!

With the bell sounding to bring a start to the match, Akira Kobayashi removes the towel from his head and places it in the corner of the ring behind him. He looks fresh and ready for a fight as he makes his way to the center of the ring. His opponent however, Dante Cross, remains sitting in his corner of the ring, a look of slight amusement playing across his face as he looks out at Akira standing in the center of the ring waiting for him. The referee is calling for Dante to get to his feet, but Cross only gives him a look and the referee backs off, glancing at Akira on that note. Kobayashi beckons Cross to get to his feet but Cross only shakes his head and grows the grin on his face. Kobayashi then calls for him to rise to his feet and at this Dante shoots from the corner in a sort of knee sliding crawl coming near to the center of the ring and from his knees he looks up and yells, his eyes wide and mouth open, spittle flying out as he speaks “YOU WANT ME?! COME OOONN!”, his arms open as if daring the man to attack. He does. Akira sends a straight kick into the face of the Son of Sin that sends him back a good foot or two, tumbling backwards in the ring. Cross rolls and rights himself and from a knee and a hand on the mat, Dante looks up and still bears that gleaming smile, now bothered with blood as it pours from his mouth, compliments of the stiff kick by Akira. Dante brings a hand to his mouth and stares down at the blood, hips lips quake as a laugh escapes him, a maniacal thing as would come from a madman. The referee and Akira both share a look, but Akira then goes forward for a Running Football Kick to the kneeling Dante Cross, but Cross swivels on the knee and with one leg of Akira in the air, the Son of Sin sweeps the other from under him with a grab just behind the knee of Akira. The Warrior hits the mat, the back of his head landing hard, Dante landing harder as he wastes no time in coming from his knees for a Shooting Star Press. The referee slaps his hand down—ONE—Akira kicks out quickly and Dante is just as quick to roll away from him and get to his feet. As Kobayashi too rises, Dante hurries to get out of his sight momentarily, forcing Akira to turn quickly, turn and catch a spurt of blood right in the face as Dante spits out the blood that had gathered in his mouth and propels it right at Kobayashi. Shouts of disapproval come up from the crowd, but Dante pays this no mind. Akira takes a step back and turns away from Cross, looking to clear his vision, but Cross is on him then. The Son of Sin hooks Kobayashi at the waist and heaves him up and over to crash down hard onto the mat with a German Suplex. Cross is beside himself now. You can practically count all of the teeth in his mouth as the grin on his face is ever present now in between shouts at Akira, calling him to his feet. Akira slowly arises to his feet and Dante pushes past him to the ropes. He leaps onto the top rope and springboards back, catching Akira for the Springboard DDT he’s dubbed the DDC. A moment’s glance to the crowd—a moment too much as Akira reverses the DDC in and hits a Rolling Cutter (CrossRhodes) before Cross has any idea what hit him. Though when Akira mounts him, Cross has a lot of time to think of what is hitting him as the striker sits on Dante’s chest and rains down a flurry of Forearm Strikes that draw flush with Dante’s face. Cross tries to cover up to avoid the strikes but Akira breaks his guard and sends another Forearm to his downed opponent. Cross sends up a punch that catches Akira, but the Warrior makes Cross pay for it with a devastating strike that snaps Cross’ head onto the canvas and looks to have momentarily finished the Son of Sin. The referee is finally able to get Akira off of Cross and the Son of Sin is quick to scramble, half falling, to the ropes to gather himself. Bleeding profusely from the mouth, Dante holds no grin now as he looks to ebb the flow of blood, keeping his hand to his mouth, though his eyes glare out at Akira incredulously. The referee tries to check on Dante, but Cross instead takes the referee, draws him near, and pushes him away and into Kobayashi. The Warrior is able to avoid the referee and just in time as the boot of Dante Cross draws near. Akira reaches out to catch the Son of Sin’s kick, but it was only a feint, the leg drawing up and over only to swing around and catch Kobayashi for the Return to Sin Kick. The feint kick stuns Kobayashi, who drops to a knee. Cross now runs to the opposing ropes and on his return, drops to his knees and sliding in, wraps his arms around the kneeling Kobayashi and hits a Low DDT that plants Akira hard on the mat, but Cross doesn’t let up as he maintains the hold and wraps his legs around his opponent for a Guillotine Choke. The blood from Cross’ mouth is dripping down onto the back of Akira as Cross clenches his teeth, tightening the hold on Kobayashi, while the Warrior holds out, struggling against the move but no closer to freeing himself. The referee asks him if he wants to submit. In answer, Kobayashi struggles further but then begins to plant his feet, putting his hands into the mat and is able to push himself up off the mat. Cross looks down as sees that they are rising and he tightens the hold, but Akira is near fully on his feet now. Putting all the energy about him, Kobayashi steams towards to the nearest corner and smashes forward, knocking Dante loose when the Son of Sin’s back hits the corner with such velocity. Dante bends forward and reaches behind to ease his back from the impact, but Akira, now free, pushes him back into the corner and strikes hard with a slap to the face that sends bloody spittle flying into the crowd. The slap is followed by another, and another. Dante shakes his head to gather his wits only to lose them again as a Palm Strike catches him under the chin. Cross slumps, using the ropes for support while Akira looks to be backing away. Dante draws his eyes up and sees only black as Akira has leaped forward for a Shin Kick to Cross’ face, a kick that takes the legs from under the Son of Sin as he crumbles to the mat. Akira isn’t letting up now, raining down a series of kicks to the chest of his cornered opponent. He’s pissed. He’s pissed and he’s beating the shit out of Dante Cross. The referee draws Akira back and rears his head to the crowd, the adrenaline looks to be rushing through him now as he tenses his muscles through clenched fists, a cry going out from his lips as he puts a voice to the wild furry. Wits about him now, Dante grabs the middle ropes and propels himself into the air from the mat, leaping onto the top rope and upon Akira’s turn back to his opponent, Cross catches him with a Springboard Dropkick that floors Kobayashi. Wasting little time, Dante heaves Akira to his feet and sends him to the ropes, following right behind himself. Akira hits the ropes and rebounds, Cross following suit just after, but instead of rebounding, Cross hops over the top and onto the apron, and just as Akira hits the opposite ropes for a return, Cross comes off of the top rope with a Springboard Forearm of such beauty that its sure to make a highlight reel. What follows, even moreso. Cross dives down for the Forearm, but mid-run, Akira spins and gathers more force behind him and picks Cross out of the air with a Roaring Elbow! A resounding ‘Ooohh’ goes out from the crowd as Dante crumbles onto the mat. Akira dives down onto Cross and looks to get the pin. ONE! TWO! THRE--! Dante gets a foot on the rope!

A groan goes out from the crowd. Akira gets away from Cross to allow Dante to gather himself. Dante still doesn’t seem to know where he is as he rolls sideways on the mat, rolling onto his front, and then again onto his backside. His backside is where Akira hopes to have him stay as he leaps into the air for a Jumping Foot Stomp to the chest of the Son of Sin. His boots come down and catch—nothing! Dante Cross has rolled out of the way and scrambles to his feet. He rises from his knees and just as he does, Kobayashi leaps forward and their heads collide as Akira Headbutts the Son of Sin. Dante is sent back into the ropes in a heap. Kobayashi has him now, himself on his feet and pulls Cross from the ropes, bringing him up—up into a Brainbuster! Akira Kobayashi has him in the air—he brings him dow—Cross swivels from his elevated position in the air—Facelock—their going down—Cross drops his legs and maneuvers behind upon the fall! Rear Naked Choke! Dante Cross as Akira Kobayashi in a Rear Naked Choke in the center of the ring! Kobayashi! The crowd! The referee! The speed! No one saw it coming!

Dante Cross: ASK HIM! ASK HIM! YOU SON OF A BITCH ASK HIM!

The Son of Sin tightens the hold. Kobayashi is turning a shade of purple. He has to tap. It’s all over.
